MadBid Hidden Charges
January 14, 2016

The legality of Madbid.com is all hinged on the Terms & Conditions
Hidden behind a "How it works" link, there you will find a condescending video that will have you
Believe how easy it is to win the auction. The chances of winning an auction are virtually none
Existent, as you have to bid against other bidders and bots, and the some of the bidders who have
More money than sense will use the Autobid function, which has the potential to keep the auction
Going on indefinitely. Recently I was bidding on an auction for MadBid credits, when I a saw my
"Buy Now" price was close to the Auction price, I decided to Buy the Credits.

1950 MadBid Credits Valued@ £194.99
My "Buy Now" Price £25.61
Plus "Earned Discount" £172.37
Credits Used 226
Bids per credits X 6
6 X. 12½p= 0.75p X 226 £169.50

Total Charge £367.48
£172.49 Over the original auction price.

MadBids Christmas photo, they claim they have nothing to hide. Is that why they hide their faces?
They think they can get away with their deceit by hiding behind their Terms and Conditions,
Which are updated every time they come across a flaw in them?
But what they are doing is morally wrong.

Daily Mail must have got lots of money for advertising and talking highly about this site BUT this is biggest scam and government should shut this site and fine them or investigate if there are really winners

I found this site online by reading an article, I was so curious and I decided to try, I cannot lie, at the beginning it was a little strange to me, but it is very easy to use!. I began by buying some credits then I was ready easily I won a Kindle paperwhite, I thought that it may take a while for the deliver but it was so fast! I love this site and I am happy with my Kindle

#Madbids.com is more off a "betting" site and less "bidding" site. I was influenced by the article, signed up and started bidding. It didn't take me long to realise its close to a betting site. I stopped immediately and asked for refund.

They refunded my "unused purchased" points while i had much more bonus points. So this proved the point that i LOST money without actually getting anything in return.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED and TIME WASTING

I have used Madbid since before Christmas, the money you use to buy credits gets credited to you if you don't win an item you were bidding for, you have to use this to buy items in their shop at full retail price, but I figured If I didn't win I would use my earned discount for Christmas presents, so my family had quite a few food processors and karcher cleaners!, I have won over 25 auctions ranging from a camcorder to a Versace watch valued at over £1500, I am now biding my time bidding for the car they have up at the moment. You do need to invest in large amount of credits, but at the worst you end up paying full retail price for items

I thought the idea of an auction were if you bid on an item and don. T win your moneys. Still in your pocket I bid in a few items and never won anything but they still kept my money even bid on. A toy aeroplane worth about 10 pounds I bid 20 and still didn't win that's not an auction site just a f... n rip of am. Still 50 quid out of pocket KEEP AWAY RIP RIP HATE THEM

Many old sayings are valid today.
With this particular company..."It definitely IS too good to be true!"
Give your money to charity rather than these legalised scammers. You'll feel better.

You can get a refund
August 23, 2015

If you paid by credit card, you should claim a refund. The rules and costs are not shown clearly upfront. Mastercard refunded me immediately when I explained to them what had happened.

Calculate how much madbid makes selling items (remember each bid is around $. 18)
Also, it would be too easy to pick a buddy's bid after the bids make them $$$...
SCAM!

Waste of time and money, can buy items on line same price or cheaper and defiantly quicker, don't go there, had to give one start to leave review but not worth that.

Spent £50 on credits & used them all bidding but someone bid more then saw the end price they paid for a product was MORE EXPENSIVE than it could be bought elsewhere, DONT use this MADBID plan, they get £££'s in credit payments from unsuccessful bidders then sell the product dearer than other sellers, this is not a bargain auction!

I can only say, AVOID. Whatever you do, stay away from this site, it is outrageous.

I am owed £1000, which should have been returned to me months ago. I have been promised responses then ignored. I was sent items that were not uk versions, therefore could not be sold on, the auto bids system does not work and I believe it appropriate to raise serious concerns and use the word "scam" here - I had multiple items with ongoing auto bids, credits to continue bidding therefore should have won the item, as explained to me when I contacted mad bids to ask why my auto bids were failing. I was told there would be an investigation as they had many careful experts monitoring bids and I should have won. This was many months ago and despite chasing and repeated promises of imminent response, nothing. I am now being ignored completely and am now having to pursue legal action.

The website suggests it has been featured in many newspapers including broadsheets, suggesting positive coverage. In fact the articles in many places warn of the dangers of this site.

Whatever you do, stay well away from this site.

Great experience

I started in Madbid a couple of weeks ago, at the first moment I thought that I was to lose all but it was fun and I could buy a product that I wanted. At the end I can recomend it, it is good if you can take advantage of the bid of each product with your credits.

I tried out Madbid because a friend mentioned it. In my first tryout I won a Kindle 8! I was so happy when i found out! The cost of the kindle, even taking into acount the money I invested in the bet, was really low. So i recomend this site. Also, the delivery was without any problem. Thank you!

Springing up all over the place are so called Auction sites, were you can purchase a £600 I phone for £30, well its possible if you are extremely lucky, but in the real world this is how it works, you purchase credit tokens to bid, I got 500 for £49.99 with an extra 500 bonus,
I decide to win a £49.99 keyboard, & started bidding, I didn't win the item as I ran out of credits, which means I paid out £49.99 if I had won it I would still have had to pay the Auction price which is now £13.56 + £8.99 shipping, as I was not the only 1 bidding & lost, this £49.99 keyboard has probably made Madbid £in excess of £300, this is an out & out con, you would have to be very lucky or cagey to get a deal, you certainly don't want to start the bidding & use lots of your credits, but in reality I would stick with finding a genuine deal on Ebay were you can make a bid of the most you would pay & let the Auction run, or as I do find the best buy it now price & get it straight away, do not use these sites, no matter how much you are told that someone saved, for every 1 person that got a bargain, 10 lost money, bookies love to shout about the 1 person that had a big win, its great for more business.
