A month ago, I bought a plan for $45. When my SIM card arrived, I tried to activate it and found that it had already been activated by someone. The attempt to activate my plan also failed, as I received a message that my account is out of money and I need to buy a plan. What? Another plan?
I wrote emails to the support team several times. At first, they were kind and gave me standard activation tips. But when I wrote that all their advice didn't work, because the problem was in the SIM card that they sent me, and when I asked to solve the problem, they stopped answering me.
I got angry and asked for my money back. They refused.!Amazing company!
SO, I PAID $45 FOR THE PLAN AND GOT $0.0 IN MY ACCOUNT AND THE MESSAGE "ACCOUNT IS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED. YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FUNDS TO CONTINUE SERVICE. PLEASE BUY PLAN……".
You may be lucky and get a new SIM card that you can easily activate. But you may not be lucky with a SIM card or for another reason, and they will ignore you completely.
MY ADVICE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE MONEY
I contacted Lycamobile Customer Service to open my Lycamobile account. Then, the phone held until 10 minutes, I got a "Karen" operator. She kept buying some of my time while asking for frequently called number, then she told that I failed to verify. I asked for re-verification, but she yelled at me loudly. I think they are thinking that many of their customers are "running" away from the carrier. Do not use Lyca unless you want to be held hostage by the poor service.
The absolute WORST customer service I have had ever. I would never in a million years recommend lycamobile to anyone. They have been charging my account monthly for 8 months after using their service for only 2 weeks on a trip to the UK. I have been trying to get my money back as well as take my card off file. They have answered only 1 email in the last 7 months, and have said that they don't have enough information to locate my account. Bull$#*!, when I signed up it asked me for my email and phone number. They obviously have that on file. WORST SERVICE EVER DON'T THINK ABOUT IT.
The worst company in the world.I had 422 kr on my Sim card.So they block my Sim card and all my money dissapeard.So they gave me a new Sim card and I had to charge again every month 200 kr(20 euro).I don t understand why the are allowed in European Union...they are thieves,scammers,I hope their boss will spend all the money he steal in chimioterapia.
One of the biggest scammers, the plans they are marketing for is fake. Phone calls transferred to overseas where there is no English speaking or comprehended people. Nasty service and a big regret. They refused to provide my account number and pin to transfer my own number. They payment system on there website is failed. Don't waste your time and money.
(U.S.A. 01/17/23) Worst cell company ever. Missed calls not showing as missed (not showing at all), dropped calls, messages left on voicemail not kept, bad customer service, uncooperative. Have been cut short data time but internet access is ok. They're cheap, but you get what you pay for. After 4 years with them I'm done. Should have kept my TracFone. Lesson learned. Save your money look elsewhere.
Payment page is doggy and made me pay twice. I asked them cancel one and get refund. The nightmare just started. Never gave me a refund. I email them many times and absolutely waste my time. They do nothing for you! They try all kinds of excuse just not issue you a refund!
Lyca Mobile is a scam. They initially offered 5$ per month for 6 months with auto-renewal.
After the end of the first month is disabled the account is forced to purchase 20$ plan per month or lose the number.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I was on holiday in USA, I came back to the UK my sim was not working at all. No network. I could not even call Lyca customer service. I asked a friend to help me get in touch with them.
I did and they cold not help at all. They told me I had to order another sim card. I did. After I received my sim card I had to wait for my number to be transferred from the old sim to the new sim. 24 hours waited and it turns out the first lady did not actually put the request in place, I called back the next day, the customer service told me that the previous colleague made a mistake and they assured me everything would be active in 2 hours. Another 24 hours wait.
Finally I get my number back. It's time to activate my bundle. They told me to top up in order for them to activate the plan. They assured me the bundle would be active in 4 hours so I turned my data on and spent 75p not knowing it was costing me because the bundle wasn't active. I called them back 6 times trying to resolve the issue, they kept hanging up on me and refused to activate the bundle. Out of despair, I called again to ask for PAC number and a refund on the amount on my sim card. They told me 5 days you will receive a refund. Today has been 5 days from the request, no refund yet. I called again today and they told me that I will receive a refund next week. But I won't be able to transfer my number to another network provider before I receive the refund.
I have been without my phone since the 5th of December, unable to make calls or send messages. I will have to be like this for another week. I am so disappointed! I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody.
Smh...wowww...wish 0 starz was a option...bought a Sim online for a unlimited plan during Cyber Monday. Signed up for AutoRenewal to receive a discounted rate. Days later i get my Sim with email information on my PUK code and info to activate. I get online to activate and it tells me that my pin code (which i have right in front of me on email) is incorrect. I then call the Customer Service number and it does not allow me to speak with anyone. Automated system keeps giving me a option to buy airtime that is already paid for. WASTE OF TIME. Ordering a new Debit card to avoid autopay charges. I should've known better
I bought plan for 6 months, next they send me mail that they can't provide me eSIM but they won't get me refund! Scammer!
Started service a family of four in 2013 coming from Germany. We went with them just based on their business out of the UK. At first they were pretty good but a lot of times phone calls would get delayed or would not go through. Text delays by sender and receiver much later than anticipated and it's because they're a third party MVNO. Additionally, when others offered more data at less $$ Lycamobile didn't follow suit and now these past 2 years have lost 4 loyal customers. I would definitely look elsewhere and Mint for our family has been pretty good with 4 GB of data, talk and text for $15/mo with a good working app, customer service is good and none of the delays, unreliability and pricing as Lyca.
I am a Lycamobile US Customer. As a a new user I purchased a SIM ($19 bundle offer at $5 with 2GB data) with AutoRenew as Yes as per the offer. To my surprise, after 1.5GB data internet stopped working and they said my iPhone was not 4GB enabled where I consumed 1.5GB data with same phone. Now after 1 month validity expiration, they are saying Auto renew was OFF during purchase and hence they cant offer me $5 as recharge. I have clearly share their order details where it was clearly mentioned that Auto Renew was YES during purchase. Now I did not recharge since last 5 days and they are still playing blame game. Even the customer care people are not responding properly on time.
Instead of getting some 10 eur good-to-go internet as a tourist I paid 60 eur so far and was forced to get 3 month plan because that's cheapest they have. I spent some 8 hours troubleshooting how to order things in 50/50 English-Dutch language. Then the plan ran out leaving me lost in a different country and topping up gave me just few hours of internet leaving me stranded again. The bonus 30 euro they give your for topping up 30 euros can not be used internationally so they are useless. AVOID.
Customer service sucks, they are the worst and impatient. They have been dealing with me for months, they asked the same questions every single time, and they are not there to solve problems, they are just wasting my time. DONOT buy, the sim card or phone plan is the WORST, I have been unable to received calls for 3 months and they do not give a f*. After raised the same issued couple of times, they BLOCKED me. What kind of company is this? Customer service is the most irresponsible and worst attituded. I will leave reviews on every single one of the platform that is related to Lycamobile. TRASH
I ordered a 30 day sim blagged by MSE on 4 Nov, the sim has not arrived to this date 17 Nov.
I have spent many hours on chat and attempting to contact Lycra.
I eventually considered that the company had been hacked and this was a scam but eventually I had a reply through another trusted review site.
I have lost confidence and have cancelled the sim contract.
I am unable to receive any phone calls. I called lycamobile customer service and they told me to get a new SIM card. I spent $15 and got a new SIM card. Still the phone did not work. I called customer service again and then they told me to change the phone. I changed the phone and still the phone did not work. So, I decided to move to a new service provider. I called lycamobile customer service to get my account number and PIN. They first told me to send a mail that I did 48 hours back. Till now I have not received account number and PIN. I called them again now and they told me that they cannot do anything and I have to just wait for the technical team to respond.
These people are full of lies and it's stupid.
All they do is assure you, knowing fully well that nothing with be done about your request.
They will tell you to do this and that, and all in vain.
This is what happens when you deal with Indians.
