Where's my yarn?

Unfortunately, a good company using a very bad delivery service. I have been a frequent customer of Loveknitting, but their use of DHL as their shipping service is a disaster! They refuse to provide decent tracking and the customer doesn't know if the package is lost or just delayed. Why Loveknitting doesn't just correct the situation with a trustworthy delivery service is beyond me. Regrettably, I will have to find a new source for my knitting yarn. I still have not received my last order, and no one has been able to tell me what's going on with it. I've requested that I be sent a new shipment or a refund, but Loveknitting says I have to wait another week! Really? Unacceptable!

Don't know why there are negative reviews about these guys. They have always shipped out my yarn quickly and if there is ever a problem they take care of it immediately. I just placed my fifth order with them and I couldn't be happier. The fact that they have free shipping available is pretty amazing because they also have free returns which I have used. They ship quickly but sometimes the carrier sends the package all over before it gets to me so it takes a while. But hey, it's free so of course they are going to pick the method that is most cost effective for them! If your issue is slow shipping then pay for expedited shipping! I have never had anything but positive response from both the chat and emails I have sent them.

Slow Post

I used to love shopping at Love Knitting, the parcel use to arrive fairly quickly, but the last order I placed 3 weeks ago and still nothing. The time before that was very very slow. I am thinking of changing to shopping at Deramores which I have shopped with before and much better. A shame because you have great wool,

A while back i had ordered catania yarn, it was shipped from the UK and after waiting for 4 weeks was told that the order got lost. But LOVE KNITTING reordered the yarn and i received the yarn. It took almost 8 weeks from the day that i first made my order. But that was not the companies fault. Since i am a knitter i have patience and all worked out. Have made some more orders since then and i am more then happy with the service the price and quality of the yarns. Thank You Respectfully Christine Z.

Great online shop!

I started to oder yarn from LoveKnitting in January 2017. So far have done about 6 or 7 orders. All of them arrived to Australia within 2-3 weeks. Sometimes same order parcels( I always order a lot so they need to pack that staff in two bags) could be deliverd with 2-3 days difference but it was because of customs clearence. When i contacted them, their respond was very fast. Great shop with great variety of yarn! Great service! Here in Australia we have very poor choice of yarn so I was very happy when i found this shop. Just would like them add a few more yarn brands that are possible to buy from ebay or etsy. I will deffinitly order more from LoveKnitting and highly reccomend them to all my friends here in Australia and in Europe.

I just placed an order 2/11/18 and have not received any e-mails about my order. My order says complete and shipped but no e-mail confirmation of either. Tried the number and it cant be connected? E-mailed customer service and just got auto reply. Feeling really nervous that I wont see the 9 skeins of yarn.
On their website it says:
All parcels from our US warehouse will be sent tracked, and you should receive your tracking ID on your dispatch confirmation email.

If your parcel is shipped from our UK warehouse, then unfortunately your order will not have tracking.

If you need help with your tracking, please contact us.
I cant get a hold of them and have not gotten an e-mail with my shipping tracking info. Just order limbo right now.

Wanted to add an edit.
Customer service e-mailed me today and apologized that my shipment had not arrived yet, they also mentioned that shipments from England to US take about 10 business days. Which that is fine with me. I just would have liked an e-mail confirming my order was placed and approximately when I can expect it to arrive. Ill keep you all posted when my yarn arrives! Changed the stars to 3.
My yarn arrived! 02/22/18.
Changed my review to 5 stars. Great priced yarn, slight wait for arrival. I definitely suggest using PayPal so you have documentation of the order, unless you have a printer. Once I got over the panic of not receiving the e-mail confirmation this felt better. It helped to get reassurance from Loveknitting customer service that my order would arrive in about 10 days.
Very happy with my order!

Don't bother!

Placed my order almost three weeks ago, so far have received only half of it and no communication regarding the other half although they have gladly taken my money for it. No replies from customer service to my daily emails I've been sending requesting an update on my order. Seems they're happy to take your money and not provide any service. The delivery is very slow and not tracked so other than an initial confirmation email saying that the order is shipped you don't receive any further information. I would advise not buying from this company, especially if you require something in a rush but honestly just don't bother as you may not ever receive anything and be left out of pocket.

Unable to obtain any tracking info of order. 3 emails sent, one response advising that I would receive 2/3 of my order 5 days ago. Nothing has shown up but their silly booklet which I didn't request but did have a tracking number. Odd that they have that ability to give that info but nothing about what I paid for. This was after order placed 3 weeks ago. Auto response is they are too busy. Last email I sent requesting yet again for status of my order, I challenged them that if I decided to now cancel the order would they be able to retrieve it by their own system.
Buyer beware! There are many ways to buy the same yarn by In-store and online. The only issue would be is that you'd have your yarn and project completed.

RIPPED OFF

I recently joined the loveknitting site. As a new member i signed up for the newsletter and was offered a 15% discount on my first order.
I made a large order and what do you know. NO DISCOUNT,
I contacted the business and was advised that "discounts are not given in retrospect" and i could get future discounts with coupon codes on regular offers like everyone else does.
Very unhappy with false advertising, and bad business practice.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ORGANISATION!

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Dealing with them has been the most painful experience and I still don't have my goods after 3 months. It's just unacceptable. The hype on the website about the goods leaving within 24 hours - I'm sure they leave on the back of a very slow donkey and the donkey dies on the journey. Pay a little bit extra and get your wool from a reputable organisation.

Used Love Knitting a lot and was very happy with them, then I didn't receive an order. They said they were moving warehouse, so I waited. Finally I asked for a refund, they replied it was not possible, system won't do refunds but once I'd received my order I could then return it for a refund. I'd paid via Paypal so requested refund with them, it was shown as reversed on my order same day. Love knitting didn't like that, I received an email asking me to cancel the Paypal refund because it would take 2 weeks to process and they now could issue me with a refund. My trust has gone with this company, how dare they ask me to cancel my refund via Paypal, why on earth would I trust them to refund me.

I'm really upset about all this, I used their site for months and loved their yarns and spent a lot of money. Great shame. On a brighter note there are other several very good sites I'm now happily using.

Bad Experience

I've ordered a few times from them and always been happy, but when they had their sale a couple of weeks ago I ordered twice (total of approximately $90.00). To date I do not have delivery of the items, and it looks like they were shipped with a carrier that doesn't deliver to PO Boxes, so they were returned. Wish the system would have kicked out my PO Box. The rep I've worked with has been no help at all, stating that they will not issue a refund until they've received the items back from the carrier. She said I'd have to reorder, of course not at the sale price and they will not issue a credit. I asked to speak to a manager, and have not heard from one. So I've resorted to disputing the charges with my credit card. Will not be ordering from them again. Thankfully there's Jimmy Bean's Wool which I've never had an issue with.

The only exclusion that we have for PO BOX addresses is with our expedited delivery since UPS doesn't deliver to PO BOXes, but our standard delivery is applicable for PO BOX addresses. I am very sorry that this was not handled properly. As I can see one of my colleagues has taken up this case, and we will soon be in touch to get his resolved for you. My apologies for these troubles once again.

Save your money. My order is taking a month for yarn in stock, from the US, to the US and they say they don't give you tracking numbers. They send constant solicitations, maybe two or three a day or more, When you dare email them to find out where your order is they don't respond until about 6 emails later. Than they make something up, tell you it is going to a different address and then tell you to call them long distance and you have to pay for the call. It is there job to find out where my order is. That is not my job. I do almost all my shopping on line but this company is by far the worst of 2017. Trust me... everybody else is better

I ordered a knitting magazine, 10 days later I received 100g of acrylic yarn... I cannot get a response from "customer service", and I've no idea if i'll ever get a refund for the undelivered item. Now i see it says "out of stock" on the item I ordered - although at this stage, I just want my money returned. Don't use them, unless bad customer service and losing money excites you.

Poor customer service

I have written multiple emails and called the customer service line, no answer, left messages, no response. Auto response email saying the my email was received is all. Shipment was missing item on the packing list and cannot get a response from the company.
Update: Finally recieved email response after another attempt to contact through help/support on web site. Email claimed we had been contacted and informed that missing item was being shipped. I couldnt find email, looked in the spam folder too but did receive the missing item, so order is finally completed.

I ordered some knitting needles over two weeks ago and heard nothing. I followed up with an email and was told that the order had been received (great! I already know that - I wanted to know when the order would be shipped!). Another email to enquire, which then informed me that they had no idea when they would ship and that they hoped I would get it soon.

Good Bye, Loveknitting!

I have been ordering and recommending the UK site for the last 4 years. Could order on a Friday and receive my order within a week, candy included, for a flat rate of $ 5.95 Cdn. I could pick up the phone any day of the week and talk to a helpful cheery person. Then I stopped getting 'special offer' emails. The next time I did it was on a North American site. The prices had gone up and the shipping rate was now $13+. To add insult to injury, the one and only order I placed took over 3 weeks to arrive. When I called to inquire where my order was, I was told to be patient and give it a couple more weeks to arrive. Wish I could still order from the UK.

Our sites, as well as newsletters, are customised to every country and the one for Canada should show Canadian dollars by default for you. I am incredibly sorry that you've been affected by our increased shipping charges. Please know that this decision was not easy for us to make as we knew it would impact our fantastic customers. However, our number one priority is to ensure your yarn gets to you safely and sadly in order to achieve that, we were forced to increase our shipping charges for the first time in 4 years.
We are sending orders from our US warehouse to Canada as it takes much less time for the parcels to arrive than for the ones sent from the UK. I am sorry your recent order has been delayed. I am afraid that might be due to the strikes on Canadian customs.
Can you please let me know your order number and email address via private messages so I can check to make sure you receive your yarns and the correct newsletters are sent to your e-mail.

Just, meh.

Two international orders were placed in quick succession. One arrived JUST on the maximum delivery time, the other, placed two days after, is yet to arrive.

Customer service (when they answered) was poor and I was asked to wait another 10 days, which is remarkabe. This means I will have to wait over the Christmas break for my purchases to arrive, running the risk of not being available to get my package. There has been no offer of resending the parcel, discounts, sweeteners of any kind.

For goodness sake, give people the option of a tracked order! You say it keeps postage down, but I would be VERY willing to pay a bit extra to see where my items are.

Or you could save on the fancy packaging (nice addition but...) and spend more on the shipping and get better feedback.

I will be buying local from now on.

Once bitten twice shy

I should have resisted the alluring email from Love Knitting after my last bad experience with them. I should have taken my own advice and read my last critique of them.

However, I forgave their earlier bad service and forgot my own review.

This time they were having a bad problem shifting warehouses or somesuch. They have a thousand excuses. They sent cute emails explaining their problem... could we not be sympathetic having experienced a similar bad move and forgive them taking our money and doing absolutely nothing about our order?

Seriously this company is the pits.
