This is going to be a long review!
Awful service and I wont be using them again. Placed order on 19th may, wasnt told at the time that there would be any kind of delay. After a few days I checked to see if my order had been dispatched but no, so I browsed the site and found the bit about the warehouse move, so I left it for a while longer.
I emailed on 25th may (thought that was quite patient of me) only to receive a generic copy and paste job saying about the warehouse move but nothing in reply to my request asking if they knew when I was going to receive my parcel. I replied requesting a personal response and a reason as to why my money was taken on 21st may even though my order wasnt dispatched and they clearly had no intention of doing so. I got the usual response of apologies but still no real answers just saying they HOPE it will be sent out over the weekend, which it wasnt.
I waited till 2nd June, still nothing! I emailed again stating I still have not received my goods or a refund and 2 days later I got a response saying they COULD TRY and see if they could push it through the warehouse, not WOULD MAKE SURE, this being 15 days after placing my order! I replied saying if I wasnt going to receive it by that Friday then I wanted a refund, the response was that they couldnt guarantee it would get to me by then so they refunded me.
IMPORTANT NOTE; I said to them that I hoped they hadnt been sending out new orders before the older ones to which I got no response but clearly I was right... my mum (who I unfortunately recommended them to) told me she placed and order on 1st June and received it a couple of days later! She had since placed another order on 8th June for £183 and has still not received it! 22nd June today and still showing as sent to warehouse, no contact to say whats going on, no reasons or excuses, no compensation in any way shape or from, nothing. So thats another 2 customers to go along with all the others that LoveKnitting has lost as neither myself or my mum or any of the other people I have recommended them too will be using them again. Word of mouth is a powerful thing which is why operating a business in this manner is not a good idea.
Ive had nothing but excuses, no help, no nothing. (15% off my next order as an apology is an insult when I had been spending over £80 and already getting 20% discount because the amount I was spending, absolute insult and ridiculous!)
I felt I was very understanding with them for such a long time as my previous 2 orders were fine and I WAS happy so I gave them the benefit of the doubt but that was very misplaced. The change of warehouse excuse has been so drawn out and milked for every penny, a huge national company could have changed premises with absolute minimal disruption so a smaller company like this, it should not cause disruption like this for over a month. And to send out newly placed orders before the older orders that people have been patiently waiting for is just really not on and BAD service.
And to top it off, you cant leave reviews on their website unless they have sent you an invite to feefo, of all sites, the review site that has itself the worst review! And I never did receive an invite anyway, funny that.
So, to sum up, I am very unhappy. The 2 orders I did receive before all this were great, good selection, good prices, discounts over a certain amount spent, nicely presented and delivered pretty quick but Im now thinking this was some kind of ruse to suck you in to make you think theyre a great company.
Like I said, this moving warehouse thing has long had its day for an excuse and I am thoroughly disappointed that I did not receive my order and was given no help whatsoever, if that was my business I would have gone done to the warehouse myself and got the order together! You do whatever you can to make the customer happy and to fulfill your promises you make as a company (promises that are plastered all over the website, happiness guaranteed... Or what? No mention of what happens when there is no happiness. Also its 13,000 reviews not over 15,000 (stated on site) and its 4.8/5 which going by feefo means absolutely nothing anyway! And expert help... I dont think so.
UPDATE: just found that they responded to my mums message (from 5 days ago) yesterday. Response was that they are understaffed and a lot of the wool she ordered is out of stock! Not only that, apparently because of this that has delayed the order further! Are these people for real?! Everything was in stock 2 weeks ago when she placed the order and she has received absolutely no information from them concerning this. They also state these occurrences are very rare, I dont think so! But she can wait for 10-14 days as long as their suppliers have them in stock or receive a refund for that part of the order, the order being £183 that they took straight away from her bank account! The rest of the order is awaiting dispatch. This is totally unacceptable LoveKnitting!
