After only 2 months 4 out of 8 of the camera ends have fallen apart inside the cord. When I called the 800 # after being put on hold and transferred around for 2.5 hours all they suggested I buy 4 new cameras. They blamed me for improper install, stating ONLY the camera is weatherproof NOT any part of the wire! The connection that fallen apart HAS BEEN inside! I will return the 2nd 16 channel 8 camera package I bought.
I had hard disk errors and no recording was taking place. I had reformatted the drive and still no better. I got Devon in tech support and he walked me through analysis steps. We were able to reformat again and rid the error. He was very helpful and courteous. Thanks.

Purchased wire free 6 camera system was not satisfied batteries die quickly started a return in January still haven't received my refund customer service is horrible and there are no help at all called them several times
Re: Ticket ID *******. Have not heard from them since generating ticket online. Total hold time with 3 trys to call is now over 4 hours. One call answered after 65 minutes by person that could not speak English. Didn't seem to understand my request to talk to someone that spoke English. Starting to wonder if other reviewers houghts that Lorex is going ourt of business are true. A healthy company would not treat customers this way.
They don't answer the phone, you put in a work order and they might get back to you in a few days, the one time they did call me back I couldn't understand a word they said, made an appointment for a call back the next day at 9 am, they never called.
Have had the system for a month still not working on the cloud.
Days for then to approve an order using a credit card and then want verification of bills, etc. BEWARE of possible ID theft and even if not them opening yourself up to potential hacking. Company is listed in Canada as a subsidiary of a Chinese company and all support, sales and customer service seems to be out of Columbia!

I bought an IP camera from Lorex directly. The camera failed after 5 hours of use. When I tried to get the camera replaced under warranty they refuse to honor the warranty because the camera is not plugged into their equipment but into a 3rd party POE switch. When I disputed their answer on the phone the support person hung up on me when I asked to talk to a manager.
I would never suggest or purchase anything from Lorex/Flir again!
The system works but I need to be able to access it through the FLIR Cloud on my home Mac. I have called and spent countless hours and it still doesn't work. The last call the tech changed my router password to password! You have to be kidding me! They make things worse than before you make the call. Now I have to dig through everything to get a secure password assigned to my router... AGAIN! And on top of it all I STILL can't access the system through my Mac. I regret ever buying this system because FLIR/Lorex is a mess to deal with. I cannot recommend buying this system solely based on the poor customer assistance in their support call center based in India.
Worst Company I have ever dealt with for warranty just installed a 16 camera system three cameras are bad they are making me jump threw hoops and still no satisfaction on getting replacements called my credit card company and they will now intervene on this case, Just Ridiculous!
During the summer of 2019, while I was at my summer home, Lorex forced a firmware update to all of its customers machines. What this did was break the users ability to monitor their own systems. They forced people to switch to a phone app for access. This, essentially, cut off my ability to monitor my property remotely, as well as turned off my cloud recording. They did this with less than a weeks notice. I am no longer able to use my system the way it was intended. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS NEEDED!
Watch out when you buy a system. The cameras and NVR are great. I purchased a 6 camera PoE 4k system with NVR. I purchased the 3 year extended warranty. You get 1 channel "free" cloud 2 days storage. If you want more, of coarse you can pay for it to the tune of $7 per channel PER MONTH. So thats $420 PER YEAR! I spent around $1000 for system and warranty and then they want $420 per year for cloud storage? Again, I am very happy with the cameras but that it stupid. They have no option for less than 30 days worth of storage either. I would pass on this system
Just don't. Don't buy these cameras or the dvrs. They don't last long, constantly dissconnecting, dvr female input jacks won't hold onto the male jack. If you try to post a negative review on their website, they'll contact you but nothing is solved, they won't post your comment, and they want you to buy other cameras.

The cameras have a good picture, but the software is terrible! I have to call all of the time to install, reinstall, etc. I have an Android phone. On my wife's phone (Apple) it is 100% better! Comes with lack of instructions. They tell you to put the DVR in a very private and secured location. I placed my system in the top of my closet, then I found out that it has to be hooked up to a monitor and a mouse to install the system. If I would have known that, I wouldn't had "hid" my DVR and would had put it next to my computer. The customer service phone, however, is answered VERY quickly... if you can understand who you are talking to! I have a hard wired system which I would never do again!
Use PAYPAL with these guys, i would have never got a refund if it wasn't for PAYPAL. Lorex is a disgrace.
When you press "add to cart" check your total, the system added $200 for no reason, called Lorex several times and emails, no answer for over a month.
After finally a month the idiot on the phone says "let me give you a case number". Today is 32 days and Paypal gave me a refund and Lorex still has no called me back
We've had nothing but problems with their camera systems. The app is terrible. Their original part number is no longer available as it was a complete system, but is similar to their part number HDIP*******AVW. We have both bullet style and dome cameras. Out of a 22-camera system, 7 have stopped working. These are not their bottom of the line cameras and NVR, these are the 4K IP cameras. I have spent more than 11 hours on the phone over the last year and nothing was resolved. 7 cameras still out. I'm searching for a replacement.

Purchase lorex 4 cameras, 4 solar panels, 3 year warranty directly from sales department. Miss information was relayed. Solar panel battery operated cameras are not reliable. The cameras have not worked since installed. Been back and forth with company all they want too do is replace cameras until warranty runs out. Lorex doesn't want to replace with hard wired cameras nor return money. {RED LIGHT-RED LIGHT PHOTO} STAY AWAY, DON'T BUY. NOT A RELIABLE COMPANY
I purchased an 8 channel NVR on 11/17/2015, when i received it i hooked everything up and it ran fine, and looked great. After one week i noticed that the storage was full. How could this be? The LNR84W is advertised as having a 2TB hard drive, It turns out that the wrong HDD was installed. I was able to work with customer service, using *******@lorextechnology.com. They made things right and did an advanced replacement and sent be a bigger unit than the one that i purchased. It took a little time to get in touch with someone which i will attribute to the holidays. Overall happy with my product.
No respect for customers! Took my whole system and tossed it in the trash. I'll accept the loss. No support. Terrible customer service, a lot of empty promises.
Our equipment stopped working months after receiving because of an update. After multiple EXTENSIVE trouble shooting procedures with multiple people and always starting at square one) they finally decided to replace the unit. HAHA. It has been 2.5 months and nothing has arrived and no one is answering the question of where the unit is, NOR are they replying to any emails wondering where our replacement is.
Customer service personnel have always been nice but have no idea what they are doing, and the certificate number they give you means nothing… the next person has no idea what has already been done. NEVER would I get another Lorex and NEVER would I recommend getting a Lorex to anyone. Wasted our money on this garbage.
