I hate this app
May 5, 2023

This app sucks. When you get a question right, a goofy character plays a goofy dance. Whoever made that update, frick you. And this doesn't even help me learn ANYTHING about reading. I just do the lessons for the coins so I can play games. The games are the only things that are good about i-ready and carry the whole thing. Remove the characters that pop up when you get a question right first try and make the lessons helpful. Also, turn text unlocking off by default.

I rizzlered over to the I-Ready log in. I typed my credentials and then logged in. An I ready agent came to my door and stabbed me with a needle. The needle contained stage 4 cancer and they said that it would help me. Right now I am dead and I'm typing this from heaven.

So my teacher told me to go on iReady right so I did. The next thing I know I'm diagnosed with genital herpes, stage 9 cancer, type 3 diabetes, and way more. Please stop this its growing too powerful for its own good. May God bless America as I don't think we will make it out of this one.

I'm just here to bring this down since this website sucks so much and dont mind the grammar i don't have time to actually use punctuation also another reason why i hate it is that you have to redo a whole lesson over if you fail the quiz which does not help kids and should be fixed so it puts you back at the failing problems this way it would be easier to use.,!?

I am in middle school, and I am forced to do i-ready lessons by my teachers and if anyone has i-ready lessons they know they are horrible'. First of all they make us do a diagnostic at the beginning of the year, and they think that we're going to remember all of the stuff we knew last year and the Math diagnostic is hard like (Bella has Bx of string and 1/3 of string what's the length of the string all together) like I don't know, and the worst thing is the people who get their grade level in my school get ice-cream I mean what about all the people who tried their best'. Second, the lessons each lesson is about 35-60 mins and if we get to many answers wrong we have to start it all over again, But wouldn't you think the lessons would change like if we got the questions wrong the first lesson we got, like I don't wanna repeat the same lesson two times just change the lesson, then the program realizes we cant do this lesson so then we move to another one'. Third, we a have home-work and we are already are stressed out enough cause we don't wanna get an F and flunk that class, then they add these i-ready lessons that take up to 35-60 mins then we get more stressed out because that just adds more to our plate and then we try do get our other home-work done but guess what our home-work is due today then we get an F'. Fourth, our mental health we stay up all night just to get our home-work done then we have to get up early the next day to go to school and all for what so we can get more home-work and have our teachers call us lazy and they say we need to get more energetic, most of the time we have about 4-2 hours asleep and the I-ready lessons don't help at all'.

USELESS TROUBLE
February 21, 2022

I'm an English learner and doing i-ready this crap doesn't help my English, it's a complete waste of time.
The most outrageous thing is that whenever I do i-ready on Sunday and check it again on Monday, it shows up as if I did it on Monday. Every week, I need to spend a whole hour doing this damn crap. There was a math diagnosis, and there were several questions on the test that we had never learned. This resulted in a very poor diagnosis on that occasion. Every week I need to spend a full hour on this cumbersome piece of junk or I'll fail my grades. In fact I don't even want to give i-ready a star for this crap software!

No i-Ready, just no.
November 9, 2022

I myself am a student who uses i-Ready, and the lessons just don't teach anything! Literally nobody I know likes this trash, and nobody remembers any of it either. We have to do 90 minutes a week in class, however many students have been skipping it because of how boring it is. Most of the students who actually do it however, simply sit there and occasionally tap the screen to keep it going. In 4th grade, the diagnostic gave barely and grade level questions, and instead focused on 5th grade questions. Obviously, 3 quarters of the class were below grade level. If we could get this trash out of schools, that would be great.

It started off great. 2 or 3 simple lessons a week. But at the end of the year, it got really horrible. The lessons take ages (math) and i had to do 2 or 3 lessons together just to understand one. For example: i did a lesson on percentages, and it was pretty easy. Then, a day or 2 later, i did another, and it told me nothing on how to solve. Also, during the assessment, you get one chance to answer. Meaning, if you make a typo, you don't get any redos at ALL. You should at least get a multiple choice question. I do not recommend math lessons on here.

Iready
May 1, 2024

I ready is so bad, it literally explain so much when you get wrong something, it is a waste of time. And it will get frustrating if you get over your grade level in I ready. I am so frustrated in I ready level E since I am only 4th grade. Also reading, I'm in level F, it is so hard too. So doing too much and leveling up to a level that does not fit for you can result in frustration.

Nice homework
May 15, 2024

The ready is good homework to give to kids teachers but the math does not tell you what you got wrong on the quiz and the reading one sometimes tell me what I got wrong. But the math teaches students stuff such as exponents. But sometimes it cause stress to me. But nice homework for teachers.

I have been using I-Ready for 3 years. My entire class (6th grade) hates this website, and this includes my teachers. I have seen errors such as a right scalene triangle being a equilateral triangle, 7 * 10 being 80, and even multiple grammar issues in passages and text (it doesn't make you correct it). I don't remember the exact lessons, but trust me on this.

Also, the lessons (usually too easy for the students) take anywhere from 15 min - 1 hr. This is tiring and just wastes time. As my English teacher likes to say "Anything in school that does not benefit your education does not matter." (Which can be wrong but still)

By the way, it does NOT work on mobile browsers or Apple App Store. Currently I am typing this on my phone (my laptop is not available) so I can only show you the error.

This is a horrible app. It's busy work for kids and they learn nothing from it. They get stuff from years ago. The diagnostic makes me wish I was dead. Would literally rather do anything. Schools should never make their students go through something like this and do every way ti avoid it.

Holy god
October 5, 2022

This site is a piece of garbage. The "lessons" don't actually teach you anything, and the AI generated voices are quite literally the most infuriating thing I have heard in my entire life. My kid hates this program, and from what I've heard from his friends all of them hate it too. I feel as though the state had no idea what they were doing when they mandated this program to be used in schools. The quality of the "animated " lessons is remarkably awful, and it is glaringly obvious that each character was created from free clip art the owners found online.
If I could rate this 0 stars, I would.

I hate it
February 26, 2024

I ready is super depressing and on some lessons it takes a long time just for them to stop talking and taking the practice up to 60 min on its own and if you fail that you have to restart. It makes me want to physically harm myself with torturous means.

This app/website is a terrible learning tool. First off if you get a question wrong, you have to wait for the annoying voice to finish talking before you can answer again. Second you have to repeat a lesson If you get 2-3 questions wrong on part 2.

My son age 11 was doing iready and fainted while doing his reading lesson. All i saw for the app is that it's too plain without too much characteristic unlike other programs like ixl or reflex math there is so much difference with other students and make you want to do more.

This website is ok for people who want to learn, but I literally hate it. First, the lessons keep repeating without teaching us anything. Second, it makes me cry. This doesn't even teach you properly and just throws random questions and problems at you. Lastly, I hate it in general. This app literally doesn't help at all except help you with crying yourself to sleep. It's really stressful and hasn't improved. Seeing that there are higher grade level problems absolutely disgusts me because they don't even teach you about what you're doing and give your smarts a percentage. At least teach people what to do.

IReady sucks
January 19, 2022

My opinion is final. From a teacher's perspective, I don't agree with how kids 5 - 14 years old (elementary and middle school) use it. It's good for a younger audience, but not good for older students. The animations are poor and childish. Districts shouldn't need to pay thousands of dollars on a subscription plan for this poor quality. Sure, it's better than some sites but I think they can do a lot better with how much we pay them. [It kills the student's social view of the world] with the advancement of technology, things are getting more technologically advanced furthermore, that means it kills the student's social skills and takes them further from achieving those skills.
