The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction regarding product quality and customer service. While some users appreciate the design and reliability of Lenovo devices, a predominant sentiment reveals issues such as poor build quality, frequent malfunctions, and inadequate support. Customers frequently report frustrating experiences with service delays, unhelpful representatives, and unresolved warranty claims, leading to a lack of trust in the company. This feedback suggests a critical need for improvements in product durability and customer service responsiveness to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

I am thoroughly satisfied with my replacement Lenovo Thinkpad. I had a keyboard issue with the initial one and was able to gain a better one after contacting the corporate office. The customer service rep (Caitlyn White) was super helpful. Eight months later and the replacement works flawlessly.
I purchased a Lenovo laptop and received it NOV 29,2021. ONE YEAR + 15 MINUTES later 1 pc of plastic fell off the hinge area. Since then, it has continued to simply disintegrate, making it necessary to literally TAPE it into a plastic bin so it remains somewhat attached. Computer continues to work well, but you can imagine how uncomfortable it is to use.
I contacted Lenovo and since it was 'out of warranty' they would do nothing for me but referred me back to Best Buy who supplied computer thru my on line purchase. I fought Covid over Christmas and was able to visit BB in early 2023. They were shocked to hear that Lenovo did nothing but pass the buck.
Lenovo recently reached out to me for background info. Each time I provided, they threw another request for more detail, Repeat! Need more detail. I happened to have every piece of documentation asked for, so now they seem to have 'ghosted' me. I am in late '70's and take VERY good care of my equipment. This computer has never travelled and only sits on my lap for use. No office open/close abuse! No kids roughing it up.
I paid $850Cdn for a computer that fell apart in 12 months. Enlarge the attachment. It doesn't really do it justice, but pretty sure you get my point #LENOVOSUCKS
I bought this PC in March of 2020. It arrived just 8 days before I was sent home to work when the pandemic was at it's worse. It's been a great computer except for one thing. In the last year it will kick me out, display a blue screen and a message that it's found a problem, is gathering information and will restart. There is nothing to do but wait, you can't stop it. This has been happening more often, sometimes 2-4 times in a day! This computer gets updated regularly so this blue screen of death should not be happening! For this reason I'm leaving a 3-star review.
Am on my second Lenovo. First one became unusable after about 2 years - took it in for repair but repairer said, don't bother, get a new one. This one is now aobut 2 years old and drives me mad. Even writing this review is difficult. Cursor jumps around and suddenly opens a page I don't want, won't click on what I do want... So I have to buy another laptop - NEVER again Lenovo.
Lenovo computer fell apart from the month i bought it,camera stoped working then the keybord stop functioning,i have to plug in a keybord to work, never let them update the computer, now it's so s;ow i just want to get rid of it.don't buy lenovo.
Not sure where to start so I'll try to keep it factual:
1. Ordered a laptop in Dec after confirming with customer support it would delivered within 2 busines days, as advertised on their website
2. Two weeks later I was still waiting for my laptop - no communication whatsoever from them
3. Three weeks later I called them up and after hours on the phone, found out they had delivered to a different address
4. I asked for a refund and was told it would take about 2 weeks
5. Then I was told they could not locate the laptop
6. Then the confirmed they located the laptop and it was in transit
7. Then I was told I would get a refund within 5-10 days
8. Two weeks later, I'm told they have not received the laptop...
I cannot count the amount of hours I've wasted with this, and I've lost more than £1,000 in the process.
No words to describe how bad this is...
The customer service was horrible.
I purchased this laptop in December. It was delayed in shipping (by over a week) such that the original delivery address no longer worked for me. The first customer service person I spoke to told me that they could reroute it to my current address if I had UPS return it. I later found out that this was false. This purchase was a replacement laptop. Lenovo did allow me to purchase the laptop at a somewhat reduced price, but it still cost more than the original purchase price. It would have been cheaper to have family at the original address ship the original laptop to me and I would have done this if I had not been told that I could have it rerouted. As for the original purchase, it took Lenovo weeks to refund me (refunded on Jan 30th, weeks after UPS returned the laptop on Jan 9th, over a month after the actual purchase on Dec 22). And I also had to contact Lenovo several times to get them to actually issue the refund! Finally, when Lenovo actually issued the refund, it was less than what I had actually paid. I never received the full refund!
They also delete any reviews on their website that focus on 'customer service' rather than product. So don't trust the ratings on the site!
My family had a Lenovo, Samsung and Toshiba Laptop and it kept crashing, freezing, disconnecting from internet randomly, slowing down, lagging and many other issues including worst crashing. We tried restarting, closing programs, fixing but in the end we wasted a lot of our time and we knew none of it worked in the end. So we decided to get a Dell HP Laptop and guess what no problems. Maybe we were meant to get this, maybe we weren't but still doesn't matter the main thing is it worked and we were happy with the purchase. No laptop is perfect but its better then the other 3 main providers no matter what google says. If Lenovo, Samsung or Toshiba are stated by Google its up to you to decide if you believe it or not everyones different. But through my experience google is a liar and can't be trusted we just end up paying more money. Then again do what is best for you not based off what google says. Lesson for all do your research and don't rely on Google or any chips to control what you can or can't say. As it is happening in the world with people being controlled by computer chips and they commit all kinds of craziness its sad. Have the freedom to be yourself and not let any government,Gatekeeper or corrupted official or a corrupted CEO tell you how to live your life.
Great computers largely, just hope there is no issue as customer service is a joke. They couldn't even get the sales part right of my order, god forbid trying to solve a technical issue. I'm shocked to read reviews saying the sales experience was solid. If how they operated with me on a non-tech issue is indicative, I would 100% believe the torrid comments people say about their inability to address real customer service issues. It was such a bad experience I'm returning the two laptops I ordered from them.
As context: Spent about 2 hours on the phone to get a simple price match processed two days after I ordered the item from their own website, and still couldn't get it processed. New price was on their website and the original item was from their website.
The first 5 minutes of the call I could not understand her because several other people were yelling on their end of the phone about something else. Speaking on time, what I was asking should take 5-10 minutes to resolve, I was talking or waiting for 2 hours without any resolution in site.
Mind you I called them HOPING to save them money and the world gas from having to return the item they sent me and have a new one come at a lower price. They advertise a simple 30 day price match and protection, but I'm convinced they put low skilled employees in place to process it to limit people using that protection. Eventually had to hang up on the CS person after waiting 40 minutes to talk to them and a Jyoti Sharma putting me on hold 5-10 times over the next 50-60 minutes, rarely ever properly communicating what she was doing. Eventually told her I'm just returning the thing, waited a minute for her to say ANYTHING (but she didn't), and so I hung up.
Order number *******384
A few days after ordering a laptop (supposedly in stock) I was told they could not deliver it. No offer of something comparable or any other support. Just a get lost. So get lost Lenovo - no more purchases from you!
My package was lost/stolen during shipment. I was told I would receive confirmation for my replacement via email within 48 hours, which never happened. I contacted them again and was told the same. Again, no confirmation or acknowledgment. I contacted them again, this time for a refund and was given the same spiel. I reckon I'll be stuck in Groundhog Day for a while until this is resolved. Meanwhile, I will trash this company to whomever will listen, blast them on social media, and continue to write poor reviews. For your own sanity, avoid lenovo.
I purchased a Lenovo laptop (Flex 5 15.6" 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop – 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 - GeForce MX450 - 4K) on July 26,2022 from Costco, but did not pay extra for an extended warranty. On Jan. 12,2023 when I opened the laptop to use it, the plastic holding the hinge screws shattered and the hinge pulled out on one side. Upon inspection, the other side was also cracked but had not completely failed yet. The laptop had undergone only light normal use, no dropping or abuse. A Best Buy technician we took it to for an assessment believed it to be a manufacturing defect or poor design and estimated that the screen and hinge would have to be replaced by a Lenovo technician, with parts alone costing at least $400. We contacted Lenovo regarding the warranty since it was within 12 months of purchase and were informed that the basic warranty we have does not cover any physical damage whatsoever, regardless of whether due to manufacturing defect or user damage. "The current warranty entitlement of the machine registered appears to be a standard warranty only, which means it only covers the hardware failures on the machine. When a warranty is identified to be standard, it means it does not actually cover any kind of physical or accidental damage." Basically, the machine I bought is trash less than 12 months after purchase, and instead of repairing it I would be better off putting the money toward a better quality one from another manufacturer. It's incomprehensible to me that Lenovo would not offer any assistance other than a billable repair for a machine that failed due to their design or manufacturing defect. I would never recommend them or purchase anything from them again.
I strongly advise against LENOVO to everyone due to the EMEA customer care - BAD and such as to arrive at the rudeness and personal offenses.
Incredible.
After my new and very little used tablet went for service 2 times in a few months, I complain politely and receive inferences from a certain "Aleksandra" (among other things with grammar errors and very bad syntax).
Absurd.
The first time in my life that assistance - among other things after frustrating premises - allows itself to have a tone like this!
I do not recommend LENOVO because you pay more for a brand that has the worst support I have ever experienced!
The first indication of their trustfulness was that they removed the purchase price from my bank account weeks before they has said they would. The desktop was dodgy from the start, but they did not want to know. After complaints all I got back were fatuous replies. In desperation I took it to a repair man who said there was a hardware fault, and that the software had not been properly installed. It cost me $200 for the fix, but money well spent to get away from this crowd!
I bought a Legion i7 from Lenovo on (12/5/2022) and never received it
UPS never delivered it on its 2nd attempt (12/9/2022).
I took time off from work and waited all night.
NO refund, NO communication, NO apology from UPS or Lenovo.
I tried to write a bad review and was denied on Lenovo website...wish I knew about how bad this company. Service and product are before I wasted my money.
Stay away from Lenovo products. It's that simple.
I purchased a Thinkpad P1 with high resolution touch screen. It was pretty much the top of the range workstation laptop. If you want a high performance laptop I advise you shop elsewhere. There were no replacement parts available in Malaysia, so everything is shipped in taking weeks in most cases. Customer service is hopeless. Phonelines not working, connected to wrong departments, do not call back in a timely manner, cannot resolve any issues. They take your money for items stated as available but are actually which are not available, then cancel the order 2 weeks after placing the order and making payment. Then will take weeks to refund. An absolute disgrace!
Lenovo does stand behind their products when there is a manufacturers hardware failure. Instead they try to sell you an additional warranty that you cannot use for the issue they just logged into their system.
I've been using a Storm Grey Chromebook 5i (14" Intel) since last year. It has the best chromebook performance I've ever experienced, and the battery life is incredible. Additionally, the chromebook's keyword is excellent.

I have owned 3 Lenovo laptops in the past and they were great! I purchased another Lenovo laptop 2 years ago and it is the worst computer I have ever owned/used. I slao ordered and paid for a Microsoft package that never came with. This computer is slower than a computer I used in 1997. I have to constantly restart it to improve it's performance. It also freezes up frequently.
I will not be buying another Lenovo!
Answer: They responded quickly to an online warranty claim, albeit with a denial of coverage. But the answer was very fast.
