Why my electric company uses Kubra...I have no idea.

It's garbage...none of my credit cards or debit are ever accepted...not even Chase Debit...always "Payment Failed"

Antiquated payment system.

Even failed payments appear to have gone through & generate a confirmation, but hidden in the confirmation is "Payment Failed".

This must be a dirt cheap service for my utility to continue to use them.

DO NOT give your bank information or credit card information to these people. I paid $10 as a down payment on my electric bill for Central Hudson Electric. They use KUBRA for their payments. I had a bad feeling. 8:30 that night I got a call from the fraud department at my bank. Someone in CANADA tried to use my debit card numbers to get. 10 out of my account. Hmmm...$10/. 10. It took me all day Sunday to realize the only place I used the card was to pay the electric and the two "tens" was suspicious so I went on KUBRA website https://kubra.com/, and sure enough there's a call center in Mississauga, Ontario CANADA! I had to go to my bank, get a new debit card, and then I went ape on the electric company. Someone from KUBRA was supposed to call me and still hasn't. When and if they do I want to press charges. For things like this from now on I'm going to get a Vanilla pre-paid debit card from Walmart (not the Walmart one they have too many fees). Put exactly what I need on the card and use that to pay. Be very careful with these payment companies.

Y'all took a double payment from my 90 year old mom. Y'all know damn well ain't nobody gonna pay a bill twice unless they rich. She is on a fixed income. And then y'all don't want to give it back. Even the XCEL ELECTRIC company didn't want to give it back but In a check. Which I didn't pay you in a check. Why you gonna send me a check in 14 days. Kubra pay asked for the account number at the last. Cus my phone number is associated with an old account that's not mine. But I'll be damned they took twice $180. NOW THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE IT BACK. THAT'S NOT RIGHT. YOU DON'T DO OLD PEOPLE THAT WAY. NOW HOW SHE GONNA PAY HER GAS N WATER BILLS. Y'ALL ARE STUPID. YOU INTERNET PEOPLE NEED TO FIX THAT. ASK FOR ACCOUNT NUMBER FIRST NOT AT THE LAST. IDIOTS STUPID PEOPLE
