KIA Finance Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a reputation for producing reliable vehicles that customers appreciate, particularly noting their satisfaction with the quality of the cars. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding the customer service experience, with many reviews highlighting frustrations over unresponsive support, billing issues, and prolonged resolution times for refunds and payment discrepancies. Customers frequently express feelings of being undervalued and report a lack of effective communication from the finance department. Overall, while the product quality is acknowledged, the customer service approach appears to be a critical area needing substantial improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Pandemic help
May 2, 2020

What I would love to do is put on my Facebook page that Kia cares about their customers~~I have a 2014 Kia Rio that I love, I have less than $ 600.00 that i owe on my car. I was denied for unemployment in the state of Ohio because i do not make enough money ~~that makes NO sense to me. Basically if you make more money you get more money. I am 60 years old & i bartend 4 days a week so i guess they don't count that i make tips which i claim every year. So i think i am wasting my time by writing this but i also think 'why not try'. You see all these other companies doing great things to help their customers~~Although i have not seen anything about Kia i'm sure you doing some good in the world. Right? Thank you~Teresa

I traded in my lease and purchased a new car. 2 weeks after purchasing my new car a car payment for my OLD car came out. They (kmf) said my account would stay open for 30-90 days. WHAT! I don't have this vehicle and yes my refund will take this long as well. The guy was laughing at me while I was getting upset on the phone. He also would not give me a higher up supervisor's name or number. STAY LOCAL.

Let's start with their deplorable payment website. MOST sites, when you make a payment, the button turns green or blinks, or says "are you sure, blah, blah" then you press "verify". This site looks like it's frozen, then you can mistakenly make a double (or more) payments without even realizing it. There is no bounce back text saying "thanks for the payment", then when I called the representative (after unknowingly making a double payment online, they could not "see" anything, so I made a 3rd. They sucked all three payments out within 24 hours, but wont send anything back until after 16 days. REDICULOUS! Maybe thery can hire an individual to actually work on their payments website and make it user freindly.

Dealing with their customer service and collections department has been a nightmare. They paid the property tax to the wrong state (we had moved). It was hell trying to get them to request a refund which they never did. I had to go directly to the county and get it sent out. Now they are saying they never received it but I have the canceled check from the county. You can only fax it and they always say they haven't received the information. I don't even know what else to do. At this point I'm in tears (this has been going on for months). I clearly don't owe the $450 but the collections department keeps harassing me every few days. I guess I should report them to the Better Business bureau. I will never drive a KIA again.

Horrible Company
March 24, 2019

I wish I didn't even have to give them one star. The dealership in OM Maryland is run by complete morons who have no clue what they are doing. My husband and I bought 2 cars from them. When they paid off the balances of our previous cars they shorted the finance groups which negatively impacted my credit. I spent weeks as a go between these guys. Then MONTHS later they are calling me asking me how to get the title from the previous finance loan holder. I was astonished. Well, even though we have worked with them for over 5 years, they refused to help us when my husband got laid off. We didn't ask for anything free. Just to give us some time to get the money. But in less than a month the late fee was over 50.00 and the asshats on the phone were not very personable to say the least. This is my first time ever writing a review, but I had to. RUN FAR AWAY. Do not do business with this company

I really rate them as a Zero, they will not give you any information or listen to what your question is. Really bad customer service. The are rude and they can not explain why the are asking for an additional $434.00 dollars. They just want me to pay it, my lease has been satisfied for 4months. Very poor communication skills.

Horrible company
November 14, 2017

Horrible company, nobody cares, nobody wants to do their job. Don't get a car here.
The dealership harasses and bullies and the finance department doesn't care about it. They convince themselves that its not their fault because the dealership is it's own entity. If I had a third party working for me and representing me the way that they do, I would fire everyone. This was simply unacceptable.
