I bought a cane corso mastiff from keystone puppys payed 1200. 00 my first dog I ever bought... within 13 months she ripped both her ACL's that was ******* to repair then at the age of 4 1/2 was diagnosed with bone cancer in her front leg and was but down 2 months later at a cost of over 1000. I have owned 8 dogs in my life and none of them had health problems like this. I spent more money in vet Bill's for this single dog then I have on every dog I've owned. Very poor breeding. Even my vet said that most of her conditions where caused by bad breeding. Will never buy another dog from you guys
The puppy had parasites/bacteria in her stool which cleared with treatment; however she also had an urinary tract infection which required multiple doses of antibiotics to clear. She also has an umbilical hernia that was not disclosed, we discovered this upon her frst vet visit, otherwise she is healthy. We have not received any paperwork for her AKC registration, this was not available at the time when we picked up the puppy.
I had a wonderful experience with Breeders Katie and Christ Beiler. They kept me informed of how my puppy was coming along, always took my calls and labored with my multiple questions (first time puppy owner) I would highly recommend this company and this breeder. Our puppy Bella was healthy looking, clean and overall bred in a very wonderful environment. The only reason I gave Keystone 4 stars and not 5 is because one day I thought I lost Katie and Christ's number. I called both numbers for the company asking someone could please return my call gave the reason why. No one from the company called me back. Thankfully it dawned on me to go back to my phone bill and look at the. Call history and I was able to figure it out but what if I didn't?
Got a super cute and friendly chocolate lab... but my individual breeder. Says "she has all her shots, and puppy things" but where is it all they give you a paper and all it has is dewormer. Which you can literally buy at tractor supply... and one shot. How about rabies? And all of the others... it says no puppy mills however if you ask how many litters has the mom had and he says "6-7" that's a little shocking! Good thing they have a health guarantee which probably in the end will cover nothing... our pup is breathing heavy and we just got her... we aren't even home yet... so many good reviews so we decided to go. Hope we don't have a sick dog :/ he didn't even provide us with food when we showed up we had to ask... like how do you think we are going to transition him into his own food... ugh! This is a safe website but just watch out! We were only provided with one photo and when we showed up all I can say is I wished we could have saved them all :(
I am so sorry to hear that you are not happy! You definitely should have received a full vaccinations report along with the dewormer. This is unacceptable and I am happy to reach out to the breeder for you to help figure that out! There is some more information I would need though so if you don't mind, please email me at info@keystonepuppies.com so we can get this straightened out!
We picked up our puppy in 4/6/20. She's a German Shepherd. No AKC paperwork and she also had a UTI, bacteria, and worms despite the paperwork saying she was treated and given shots. Are there issues with the dogs here being inbred? This was another concern I had.We have always had German Shepherds and this puppy is very aggressive and very difficult to train. Not to compare her to our other GS pups but our experience was NOT the same and we had several GS pups. Usually very laid back and easily trainable and not aggressive at all.
Honestly, my 19 year old son bought the puppy from here. We def would have NOT purchased from any of these places in Lancaster..
I am very sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience! A breeder does have 120 days to get the AKC registration paperwork to you, so I wouldn't worry about that quite yet and we are very happy to contact the breeder for you if you would like! As far as the UTI, I hope you contacted the breeder to discuss and get a refund for all medications because he is definitely responsible to do so. If you need any help with that, please email us at info@keystonepuppies.com. If I can help with anything else, please don't hesitate to let me know! Thanks!
We are happy with the Keystone Puppies website. We are disappointed in our breeder, however, as he gave away the calm, sweet puppy that we had picked out when we visited the puppies. He did give us a different -- much more rambunctious and feisty -- puppy, but we were annoyed that he had switched dogs on us. We would not recommend this breeder, Abner Stoltzfus, to people looking for puppies.
Thank you for your review! I am so happy to hear that you were happy with Keystone Puppies but am disappointed that the breeder upset you. I am happy to reach out to the breeder to discuss! Please shoot me an email at info@keystonepuppies.com to give me all of the details! We never like to have unhappy customers so I would like to resolve the best I can! Thanks so much!
They say they do not support puppy mills but they do and if they say this place was not a puppy mill I am scared to think what they think one actually is! My husband picked up a Boxer puppy for our family from breeders Jacob and Lydia Speicher. We should have known that this was a strange operation when breeder Jacob Speicher called over and over again as soon as my husband showed interest in the dog. It was bizarre. When my husband got there, the conditions were dirty and our puppy seemed extremely frightened. My husband still took the puppy because he felt bad for it. At home, our Boxer puppy still seemed very frightened. Was it abused before we received it? Did it witness something frightening? Well we had our sweet beautiful Boxer boy for only 3.5 months and it passed away suddenly without any warning. Contacted the breeder Jacob and he never replied. We were sold a sick pup that was in horrible conditions. Our family hearts, including our two little boys hearts, are broken. Avoid Keystone puppies and avoid breeders Jacob and Lydia Speicher! They only care about money not their dogs or clients.
We're getting Malinois puppies to rescue from here. They deal with so many breeds it shouldn't be doing anything with dogs. Beware
I purchased my mini poodle from this site. They reply fast and Shawn is so helpful with answering any questions or concerns. That only bad thing was getting a hold of some breeders was a bit of a task. You would have to leave a message and they would call back whenever. Other than that I everything was good. I got my puppy shipped to Ohio and he arrived safely on the flight within days. I would recommend buying from this site! :)
Keystone puppies value their customers and stand by what the website states. They are pleasant to communicate with and respond to inquiries in timely manner.
Everything went very smoothly picking up my new Corgi. She is everything I hoped and more. She is so smart... Breeders were easy to deal with. Would of loved to see the other puppies but felt the women was very busy with her family. Drove 4 hours but so forth it!
I purchased Chipper a week ago, he's a Mini Golden Doddle, I had a wonderful experience with Keystone Puppies. I live in Northern New Jersey and had to go meet Chipper in Lancaster, PA they were very accommodating with my time schedule since I was running late it was about row an a half miles away. We met with Chipper and was able to spend sometime with him, he was six months old when we got him, he was the last of the litter. He is nothing but a LOVE BUG! We feel in love with him immediately.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience Deborah! I am so happy to hear your puppy is doing so well and hope you will keep us posted on his progress!
We purchased a mini golden doodle named Bear from the breeder Daniel Beiler. They were very helpful through the whole process and communicated awesomely. We live in Iowa so they coordinated the flights and got him safely to us before Christmas. I felt they went above and beyond!
Our new pet Cooper is doing great. He is loving and has adjusted well to his new forever home. He is still adjusting to our cat but we think they play well together. The experience with our breeder was also fantastic. I would and have recommended keystone puppies.
Me and my son are over the moon with our new puppy, we named Dak! I never bought a puppy from a breeder and was skeptical. The breeder was very professional and seemed to care about giving the puppy a good home. He had no parasites/bacteria and we have had 3 doctor visits. The vet said, "we got a good one". He is the most gentle, smart, friendly and loveable puppy. He has made our home complete!
I highly recommended this site! Definitely contact Sam and Linda blank! I received my German shepard Bridget from them and they were so kind and helpful! I would definitely purchase from them again! They currently have Shepard's and lab mixes for sale! Thank you so much once again, she's an absolute beautiful dog.
I found Keystone Puppies accidently when I was researching the purchase of our new Puppy. We already new we wanted an English Cream Golden when I started. My 2 major concerns I had with Purchasing a Puppy out of state were, not actually seeing the puppies in person before we selected one and how to get her home once we made our choices. For the first I was able to work directly with multiple Breeders who sent along lots of pictures and video. They answered all my questions and the Guarantee offered on all the puppies just pushed it over the top for us. Next Shipping, This is where Keystone stepped in and handled all the arrangements while keeping me informed every step of the way. She was shipped in a very nice crate which we will uses for a month or two for her crate training and with plenty of instructions on when to give her Food and water during the trip. She arrive on 10/2 and adjusted to the family with in a day. Thank you Keystone.
We had our puppy flown from PA to FL. We were anxious about it at first but it worked out great. Our puppy is amazing! She is smart, sturdy, and healthy. In these times of COVID, finding a dog was a challenge and Keystone came through. Thanks!
Thanks so much for the positive review! We are thrilled we could help you and that your puppy is doing so well! Please do keep us updated!
Using Keystone Puppies is a great way to find a puppy that fits in your household. The transaction was easy from beginning to end. They are knowledgeable and very helpful all the way through to the delivery as I am out of state for the puppy I chose.
Thank you to all that were involved. I highly recommend Keystone Puppies!
Mickie
Our puppy was sent by air freight from Pennsylvania to Utah without any difficulty from start to finish. We were in ongoing contact from beginning to end of the process and were made to feel at ease during the entire transaction. Cant have any better customer service than Keystonepuppies provided.
Answer: Every breeder on our website is legit. We go to every breeders house to take the pictures of the puppies so we are scam proof! Thanks so much for reaching out!
Answer: Hi Barbara. As we explained to you earlier today, we are not the breeders we are just the advertisers so we can not make the decision on who the breeders sell their puppies to. I am very sorry that you were disappointed as I would have been as well but he definitely did the right thing by giving you back your deposit. I will have a discussion with him about the situation. I hope you find the puppy or your dreams!
Answer: Hi Bill. We have been dealing with Eldon for a little over 3 years now. We have never had any complaints about him and I'm pretty sure he just has a couple of Lab dogs. I think you will be happy with your decision! Let me know how you make out. Thanks!
Keystone Puppies has a rating of 4.6 stars from 112 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. We are incredibly troubled to hear about your dog. I am so sorry that you had these issues with. I have done research on ACL problems and there seems to be many different causes for this. It would be very beneficial to know who the breeder was and how long ago you purchased the dog so we can look into the matter. As far as the Bone Cancer goes - current knowledge of the disease is not linked to genetics but it does appear more often in large breed dogs. The Cane Corso is a very large breed so unfortunately it is one of the health issues that can occur. Please send us an email at info@keystonepuppies.com with all information so we can address this.
