I received my Senshi knife set recently. The packaging, wooden box and display stand were a pleasure to behold. The knives are works of art - precision made, well balanced, sharp as a razor, sleek hygienic design, and branded with quality text and graphics. I would have paid twice the price if I knew how well received they were going to be. It is a joy to use these knives for food preparation. Do not be fooled by cheaper products which certainly will not carry the Japanese standard of perfection or instill such a feeling of respect for the makers. They are my katana and wakizashi of the kitchen! Very happy.
A customer of mine bought a set for a gift. The blade quality is good but not worth $1000 plus for three knives. Telling you where they obtain the steel and exactly what the steel is are two very different things.
These knives came with a so-so edge.
I have given several sets of these as gifts and I personally have most of what they sell. Their shipping is slow and what they consider "razor sharp" falls below expectations. They must be sharpened to perform and be functionally sharp advertised. They do look nice and are a great gift but they are a little overpriced even with their discount.

I ordered my product off the website based on all the information available and was really satisfied with the communication up until the time the product didn't ship. I was just given information that their carrier was having a problem. Not my problem but a problem. All I was asking for was an update on my product shipment. After numerous emails I was finally told it was out of their hands and the problem is fed ex
So with no recourse other than canceling my order a Christmas gifts. I waited on FedEx to pick up and ship my order. My fault four being a customer I guess. The real issue is I was continue to be bombarded with ads from your company as well as every time I went on Facebook. I was offered discounts to order additional items when I haven't even received the first ones.

I bought several knife sets for Christmas presents. Of course I had to buy one for myself as well. Everyone loved the gifts and I found the knives to be very sharp and used them immediately in place of my old knives.
I spent a lot of time to ship a Chris gift to my brother. After all the info was entered. You are shipping to me instead. Now he won't get his Christmas gift on time. Your website sucks, I will probably cancel/return this order!

I placed two (2) orders with your company, which have not been shipped. Kamikoto has been contacted three (3) times and I was informed that they were checking into the situation. I am still waiting for an answer. Both orders were supposed to be delivered by Christmas. Don't trust this company. Customer service sucks and is very unprofessional. They talk a good game but don't deliver!

These are sooo sharp the warning doesn't do them justice. I've cut my fingers several times,even managed to stab myself accidentally of course but are the best knives I've ever used before. Amazing Craftsmanship
I'm disappointed in these knives as they do not hold an edge for more than a few cuts. They look good, feel substantial in the hand but I have to resharpen them after chopping a few broccoli or carrots

My comment to Kamikoto after receiving a dull knife. Immediate response and incredible integrity.
I bought 2 sets of Steak Knives (ie; 8pieces).
I must say they are the sharpest and most ergonomic (user friendly) steak knives I've used.
It's a joy slicing and dicing steaks when the knife is comfortable to hold, easy to use, and extremely sharp. Fit for purpose!

Recently, I received a few sets of Kamikoto knives as a gift. To this point, I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of the product; they are by far the best knives I've owned or used.
When addressing one minor issue that I had, the customer service team was exceptional. Their responsiveness, cordiality, and respectfulness was absolutely incomparable, and they were able to resolve the issue with diligence and ease.

I love their knives. They are pieces of art, and super sharp, the handles are very comfortable and they have a great balance. Customer service is fast and great. I had a problem caused by the shipping and I requested a new wood box and they send me a whole new knife.
The knives are super, they fit the hand quite well and they're rather sharp---plus, you can buy a stone to maintain the cutting edge. The knives come in attractive blond wood presentation cases, which are very good storage spots. I can't fault the knives in the least.
These knives are great. They are the best knives for the money that I have ever used. The way they fell in my hands and the clean smooth cuts that I get with them. It is just great. As a new customer of Kamikoto a few months ago, I have experienced a bad delivery by Australia Post and Kamikoto right away investigated and rectified the order at their own cost. I love Kamikoto. They stand by thier products and when something fails like shipping they will replace it and offer you a discount on your next order. I purchased these sets for friends, family and clients. They ALL love them and want to buy the complete set. I continue to buy more knives from them including the new 13" blade that have no place to store it AND the steak knives.
Answer: I agree with Michelle S. I, too have a bunch of Wusthof knives, they're forty years old and are beautiful to work with. If you search long and hard and don't care, you can always find cheaper knives, but you'll not find anything better than the Kamikoto knives that I'm now using.
