Ordered 2 items online which were in stock according to website. 10 days later no contact from them. Advised them to cancel order, then received message that the items were not in stock and they were cancelling my order. First and last time doing business with them. They really should just close down based on the other bad reviews.
Never buying from Joann again. Absolutely the worst online retailer there is. Ordered Christmas wrapping paper on 11/25. Order was processing. Received an email notification stating my order was delayed on 12/15...Wow, only 3 weeks after placing the order! At this point I sent an email to find out why my order hadn't shipped and what the status was. No response. Instead, I get an email telling me my entire order has been cancelled on 12/21. Ordered way in advance not to find myself searching for wrapping paper last minute and now that's exactly what I am being forced to do. Know you inventory, communicate with your customer, give timely updates! Guess it could have been worse...if they had sent me the wrapping paper folded in half like another unfortunate reviewer experienced I would have been on the war path...how ridiculous is that? Done with Joann...If you value your time, and want a positive customer service experience you should too! Happy Holidays Everyone!
Why in the world would a company not have customer service available on weekends? The cutesy.message that they're crafting doesn't fly. Just allows more time for us to not reach someone. I ordered something on 11/24 and it didn't ship yet. Was told the regular 10 business days or whatever. Well, it's been that. Meanwhile, stuff I ordered is being canceled but was there when I ordered it. Will call again today. Hassle overall and don't recommend ordering from them online.
I've placed 3 online orders for store pick-up for items that were supposed to be in stock at that store. Each order was delayed over a week and then cancelled. While I understand there is a pandemic, what I dont understand is why they say they have items when they clearly don't have them. I won't be placing anymore orders. There are many other stores to choose from who are more reliable.
So here we are, Christmas in a few days and my order hasn't shipped yet. You can't cancel it, and don't think you're getting everything you ordered, NOPE. Things aren't available that were when I ordered. How a company can do business like this is bizarre to me. I think they are shipping from China, hence the long delivery times. Let's talk about your order coming in numerous boxes too. How do they make any money? If I need to ever order again, which I highly doubt, I will make sure I order MONTHS in advance. Really get your act together Joannes!
My friend ordered quilting batting online and curbside pick-up. Received her confirmation order number but never received her order. Thanks to Morgan from the Michigan City store, for approximately 2 hours, tried to find out why my friend did not receive her order. She was on the phone during all this time calling different numbers until she received an answer. Finally Morgan was able to settle the reason and my friend was able to receive her order. Thank you Morgan from Joann's Michigan City, IN store for your time and help to straighten this situation.
First it was I could not afford fabric at JoAnn's without a coupon the prices are so high. Now their coupons are pretty well useless. SURE- they send out a 60% off coupon-with restrictions like "regular priced fabric" THEN they put all the nice fabric on sale for 10% off. If I should find something I might like to make a dress or suit out of, because they stock 8 yard bolts, there is never enough of that fabric available after a cut has been taken from the bolt. I have better luck at Walmart and the wholesale fabric warehouses in Dallas. I am giving up on JoAnns. Any place that charges $27.99 for cotton gauze is too greedy for me to shop with.
15 minutes wait just for some one to pick up the phone! Nauseating recorded replies-"Are you still there?" "And now a word from Joann" "Joanns confession No. 52", etc. Now on 17 minutes...I can see why they have such a poor rating.
Do not shop online with JoAnn fabrics! They will hold your credit card hostage! Worst supervisors ever. Just thow the entire system away. Now i get to wait 7-10 days for a new card and product not shipped out. Very pisstoff. Never again. So many other places to shop without being robbed.
Ordered 10 items, 35 yards total, never received so looked up order number. They cancelled my whole order without letting me know. NEVER again. Couldn't even bother to let me know. Christmas sewing will be delayed. Thanks for nothing, literally. O stars if I could.
I ordered some supplies for my wedding, and shortly after I decided that what I was going for just wasn't going to work.
Joann gives you a half hour window to change your mind, which I missed. I emailed anyway. I received NO response until days later, after my order had shipped. Which is really annoying, the sluggishness, but okay. I can deal. I simply refused the package when it arrived, it went back.
They received the package yesterday. I asked today when I should expect my refund. I was told 2-3 weeks. ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?!?! There's no reasonable explanation for that.
Customer service is a disaster at this place. I can't get answers. They're slower than molasses in January. I will never, ever, ever purchase from them again.
My wife and have spent hours on the phone with customer service at Joanns Fabrics. Each time we called about an on-line ordering website problem we got a different answer. Out of frustration, I asked the supervisor to escalate my call to a higher level I was told rather coldly that was not possible. They promised to look into our problem and get back with us as soon as possible. Nothing ever happened. My honest impression is this company cares little for its customers. Needless to say we've had enough!
I called customer service to inquire why my flier's online promo code said it wasn't valid even though the date and Online requirement was correct. They gave me a completely different and apparantely secret code which went through, but did not take anything off my total. I was then told to complete the purchase at regular price, then call them back for a refund for the difference. Why are they posting invalid codes and expecting we would trust them to issue a refund after we pay full price? Something is very fishy with this company. Their online service is no better than in store and that is worse than anywhere I have ever shopped. Constant waiting with a skeleton crew to handle customers. The employees seem to be trying. This is a corporate problem. C'mon Joann... get it together!
When asked for the 20% Senior Discount Debra at the Midlothian, TX store stated that they haven't done that in a while. Contacted customer service and advised them to remove the false advertising on the internet stating that you do. It should have been honored per their mission statement. Steer clear Seniors!
The one I go to has very knowledgeable people and, for the most part, everyone seems happy to help. I've never had issues with curbside pickup. I will say pictures of the fabric online can be misleading with the color and size, and their inventory system is wonky, but I'm surprised to see so much hate here. I will always support Joanns, they are introducing pronoun stickers for their employees and they have great deals on remnants. They are pretty progressive, especially compared to Hobby Lobby. They also have tattoo based fabrics and a fabric that depicts heavier set women in a positive, attractive light.
Tried to place an order online for curbside pick-up. Don't bother. The site won't let me check out. It just keeps sending me back to the same page. Called the store and was told that it is because the item I want isn't really n stock, just says it is on the website. B. S. I tried several stores with the same result.
I ordered some Olfa rotary blades and was charged $5.99 to ship them. Took a little over 2 weeks for them to finally arrive. I live 1 1/2 hours from the nearest store and could have driven it quicker than what handling/ shipping took. Not acceptable. Next time I'll drive 45 minutes to my nearest quilt shop.
Joann's online shopping is not user friendly. In my opinion, it takes way too many "clicks" to find out that your choices are not in stock. And during any sale, a huge percentage of fabrics presented aren't actually available for sale. Hours of shopping yielded two choices. Days after I ordered I received notice one fabric was indeed unavailable. Then they charged my account twice. Customer service told me in a week one charge would come off my account. That was a lie. I'm pursuing my refund still, a month later. I would not spend another dime with Joann.
Placed an order for one item online 11/1/18. Today is the 13th and it has yet to arrive. Track Order says delivery on 11/15 which is technically within 6-10 business days but I live in a metropolitan area and this is ridiculous. Reluctant to order through Amazon because of how employees are reportedly treated but may have to change my mind.
They are having a frenzy sale but not a sale. The anti pill fleece material went from $15.99 to $17.99 a yard with 60% off. Approximately a few months ago it was $15.99 a yard. With Covid, gas, clothing and food prices skyrocketing the American people can't even go to the major fabric store and save money to keep clothes on their backs. I have been shopping at Joann's fabric for decades trying to help the homeless, hospitals, shelters Ukraine, mountains in Peru, Florida and more. I have spent thousands of dollars and I can't even get help from them. I don't have a tax id number so they can do a tax write off. They are all about profit. Shame on you!
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
