Iwriter has some good points, but I have a bone to pick with requesters at the Elite level. I have a solid profile at Upwork and lots of wonderful long-term clients. I can't say the same about iwriter. Some clients reject solid articles and give flimsy excuses. Like "article is short of word count... or badly worded in some places without pointing out the sentences. I am disposing of my account. Total waste of time.
I'm an elite writer for iwriter.com. I have found them to be a good site to work for, although the pay is low until you get to elite status. The site is super easy to navigate and I would recommend them as a good source of writing jobs. Of course they are also free to join, or I would not even go there.
I'm not going to repeat all of the above reviews. I have a B. A. in English, and due to requestors not being detailed in their requests (most did not even use native English, proper spelling, or capitalization), I was also banned and will not be paid after at least 25 hours of writing. I'm glad I discovered this now before I spent even more time on it.
I used iWriter to order over 100 articles. I got good articles but also a bad one. It depends on the writer. If you find a good writer then you can add him or her to a favorite list. The interface is nice though. I wish they had an instruction template that you can save. They have something but is a little bit weird.
Don't expect $100/hour writers to write a 300 word blog post about your niche. Be realistic with your expectations. You get exactly what you pay for. I'd rather pay $8 for a 300 word blog post than have to write it myself. If I have to do a little bit of editing once I get it then no big deal. At least I didn't have to do most of the legwork. Find some writers that you like and stick with them.
I found it challenging to find a good writer when I first arrived, but since they made some changes, it became my favorite platform. I just hope they won't raise their prices now:)
Thanks for such a great platform!
I was very happy with this company a few years ago. Nowadays, I guess it could do with an update. Most of the writers aren't taking jobs anymore or are a bit too lazy to write the copy themselves. I guess you get what you pay for.
I ordered an article and I specified an "Elite Plus" author, their highest tier. I had to reject the article every time because they were so poorly written. The attached is an article written by an Elite Plus author. Wow, really?!
I am a professional writer working through upwork. People from iwriters approached me on upwork through a false ID and portrayed things as if they are a big level working company who hire writers and make them work on higher rates as much as 22$ per 500 word.
I joined him on Skype signed a contract with him too then after taking 15 articles of all ranging from 1000 words to 1500 words each he blocked me from skype the next day while working on upwork a random invitation to work was received by me and this was again these people from iwriters with the same skype id.
I searched my sent content on the software to check where it was uploaded and then from there i got the details of these people.
I am suing the company on copyright infringement backgrounds
I frequently use iWriter to essentially escape the blank page. I feel like many people approach iWriter looking for the magic pill. I use iWriter to have someone else do the digging first, then I heavily edit.
I suggest someone out there has the nerve to sue this company in order to bring it down. That's the only way it can be stopped. I was conned out of a $130 payment from them. I live in Sweden so I do not know how to sue an American company but those of you in the Usa should be able to do this without difficulty.
IWriter has been a platform we've used for a year now to source content for our content marketing strategy. I would say for the price we pay, we're satisfied with most work. And even when we're not, it's easy to reject work or work with writers to improve the content. Very happy overall.
Helped me up my revenue for the last 5 years or so... but I have to admit it is extremely frustrating sometimes... and you really need to be good in order to thrive... I now have dozens of favorite requesters who send me special requests from time to time. And it works just fine for me :)
They want you to write articles for them in less than 3 hours for a fifth of a cent! The rejection rate is so high and the clients are ignorant and abusive. Also there is no guarantee to get paid. To write an article for less than a cent is an insult for any writer who can write and is just making some extra bucks.
Iwriter is a perfect place if you are in need of good quality articles. It is very easy to use kind of platform. Simply put your request with the type of article you want and you will be served with a great article.
There is so much to learn and gain there! You meet new people everyday who provide you with new experiences. The most enjoyable part of that would have to be the learning. I was constantly learning something new and I found all of it interesting. The support team there is also just amazing!
I am freelancer and daily my clients ask me if I can write the they content for them, my answer is yes because I have iWriter.
I use they services since 2017 and every time my request is exactly how I want to be.
When it comes to content services this is one of the better ones out there. The more specific you are about what you want, the better your articles will be. You can also reject and request revisions. Also, you get what you pay for.
I use iWriter regularly and always get good copy back. I also like the fact you can reject unsatisfactory copy and it goes back into the queue without paying extra and the fact you can add favorite writers.
Spend a bit of time on your brief specifying what you want and 9 times out of 10 you will get something well written back.
What they don't tell you is if a client is a scam artist, and wants to pocket your article for free, you will lose your rank if a client rejects your article. They're extremely nasty about it. It isn't mentioned anywhere. I plan on reporting them to the federal trade commission and better business bureau.
