I love this site. I have been playing on it for at least 19 years. I have met many friends. I read the reviews on here, the negative ones and sorry but that has never happened to me or anyone else I play with or we would've said so. There are tons of members and for only a couple on here to complain tells you what the big picture really is. There are lots of games to choose from, you can join or play for free. Members that join just got to play more games and take more turns since there's no cut off like there is for the guests. You can chat with others or not talk at all. It is turn-based so you can play one day and not the next. However, I am on it morning, lunchtime, and most evenings. A great place!

This site has some major errors. I've played numerous ladder games and won but did not move up the ladder. Customer service responded to one inquiry about this. Their response was there was a simultaneous win and when that happens you dont move up the ladder. Seems there are A LOT of simultaneous wins.
Now. (Jan 2021) I've won several games on several ladders and have not moved up the ladder. Customer service was messaged and have never received a response after several weeks.

Dont waste your money to become a member. This is a ripoff site for membership.

A fun site with a lot of great choices of games to play. You can invite other members to play games such as Chess, checkers, Battleship and Othello as well as many others. Also fun variations on the standard games to make it more interesting or challenging. You can set up games where you can take anywhere from 3 days to 45 days between moves so you can play when it's convenient for you. You can ignore users who are rude or inappropriate, easily. You don't need to buy a paid membership, but it's worth it. Not expensive and lets you play a lot more games at a time.

Attrocious customer service. After 22 yrs of paid membership I can't even get a response. For verification if desired my user name is ralphw. Their automatic draw software declared a draw in error in a chess game with the 3 times with the exact same position rule 2 moves after a capture was made. Filled out a complaint on their site where they claim I would get fastest response. Almost a month later,,, crickets. I'll not be renewing my membership with the way I currently feel

Paid memberships are 1 year or 2 years and you are allowed to play up to 200 games.
Many of the players have been playing for years and many are rude and if a complaint has been filed against you you cannot participate in tournaments.
Staff who run this website do not respond to emails NOR do they give any explanation as to why you are being banned if you are banned although you paid to play on this website. Have found another website to play games and find the players are friendlier and polite. What is the purpose of playing on this website when one cannot play the games?

No one replies to questions or concerns about a game position or issue! I like the format f this site, but the customer service is terrible or non-existent.

They stole money from their users, they are trash. Cowards. Dont give these people money. Patrick Chu is filth
