OS reinstall is only a last option used when you have a device that is complete messed up
Now I did check with the manufacturer and there was an issue. I brought it to their attention

Upon evaluation, this device could not connect to internet without an ethernet cord or a Wi-Fi adapter. After downloading all possible drivers, this device cannot connect to internet without external source. This affects the functionality of the device as it will always have to be plugged into ethernet and or an adapter

SCAM
The fact that they were getting connectivity with an external source and existence of the issue basically said that laptop simply needed to update itself. When manufacturer have problems like this
They fix it in two stages. The first is quick fix and the second is normally a patch that comes in Windows update that permanently fixes the problem. According them, all they did was driver downloads and OS reinstalls which does absolutely nothing
