I use indeed.com to look for work. But lately, this website has disappointed me. I would see what company is hiring, and go and get an application. But when I go to get an application, the employer would tell me they are not hiring and never was. Like for example, I went to CVS to apply for two jobs that were listed in indeed.com, and I went to the manager to introduce myself and get a job application. But he told me that indeed.com always places them on their website telling people they are hiring, when really they are not hiring at all. This website shouldn't even be online. I feel they are a scam job website.
DO NOT USE INDEED.COM Most of their candidates do not qualify for the job position and they contacted me monthly to sign me up for paid ads. I did one for a week and it continued to charge me indefinitely. It produced no better results than the free ads and sifting through resumes. I tried disputing the over $1,000 in charges to no avail! They argued with me and my credit card company. They are awful STAY AWAY!
Hi if you are thinking to waste a bulk of your money this is the perfect software to go to is really fraud as this software asking you to add an amount daily but you have to be really careful and watch your bill as you are going to be shocked how fraud in your money, not Recomended at all
Hello Carl, sorry for the poor experience with Indeed. We have looked up the Indeed account associated with the email address you provided and were unable to find any recent charges associated with the account. We would be happy to look into this further and assist if you can please message us through SiteJabber with further details. Thank you.
I want to thank indeed. At first I thought it was like all the other apps I've tried. All I ever got was what jobs they had and how many applied but never got a response back from any employer. Funny thing is I had a account with indeed for over a year kept ignoring it since I had issues with all the others I figured it would be the same. Well I was wrong bored one day and stress because I had quit my job two weeks back i got on started searchingfor job hit the apply with resume and wala! Lol it was done for me it was to easy I didn't think it would work. But it does truly work I got 4 interviews and landed a job woo-hoo I am so thankful that I had my children sign up and now my daughter has a few interviews set up. So people believe that indeed jobs can help find you a good job in any field. So go for it! You won't regret it. :)
Wow, thank you for the wonderful feedback, Elizabeth! We are so happy that you gave Indeed a chance and you were able to find a job. We wish your daughter the best of luck in her job search and congratulations again on the new job!
ATTENTION! If there is a problem (wording, language, etc.) with your job add Indeed will NOT tell you. You will have to call them to find out why there is no activity with your job posting. An example: "non-smokers" is not allowed. WTF! If you need an employee badly, go somewhere else!

Dont trust i just got scammed on the damn website thank goodness i did not give the employer my social im doing everythign in my power to let the word be out that swisslife is a crock. They change the names on indeed im guessing everytime they get caught and was researching everything and indeed told me there was nothing they can do even tho they allowed this false company to get others information i got a kid and cant afford for some idiot to have all my information that i put in for a job not for identity problems
Wow. Posted jobs for a week for my client. Then my account was frozen. I called was told they couldn't give me a reason for the freeze. Not a good way to do business. Started a new agency account through an indeed rep. The account was frozen in 2 hours and the rep couldn't tell me why.
I posted ads for free on their site and they disabled my account because I don't have a corporate e-mail. So I made a corporate e-mail and spent some good money to do so. I did everything that was asked and they disabled my account because my ads were free. I called and asked why my account was disabled and they had no valid reason. They called me an MLM company (which my company is not as I told them) and when I explained that I wasn't, they told me they disabled my account to "protect my business". Completely discriminated against me because I'm not a huge organization paying them big money for job postings.
I do not understand why my account is always banned, I did not do any illegal things, they did not even give me reason, I launched a complaint is rocky sea, why is this situation, do you discriminate against me in China, answer me

We are a recruitment agency, and focused on one particular segment. Recently Indeed deactivated all are free postings, and are asking for sponsorship. When I contacted Indeed, they shared their terms where Indeed can choose to stop any free adv. For anyone and ask them for sponsorship. They did this without specifying the reasons to stop free adv... I went through their document and there is no where it is mentioned about the limitations of free adv. Available from Indeed. There are other agencies who continue to adv. On Indeed for Free. In my view this is discriminatory and is a way for Indeed to arm twist companies to go for sponsored adv. I believe Indeed should have a common and a fair policy for everyone who is associated with them. I've raised the same with them, and am waiting for a response from them.

We are a start up and without prior warning Indeed blocked us. We have been spending a lot on Indeed for 5 years and suddenly when we decided to cut back our spend during covid, Indeed decided to block us. The rep was not even responsive. We weren't even given a chance to take back the jobs posted. Indeed was sending us invoices after blocking the account. The way this company is handling this situation is unprofessional and not fair. I wish I had the time to take legal actions.

I have been working in the hospitality sector for more than 20 years and I have used "Indeed" at my last 6 managed businesses. Then 6 weeks ago I started up my own company/pub and of course I was committed to use indeed for employment of a full new team both BOH & FOH.
So I started posting job adverts as I always have, then today after posting a job, I received an email stating my account had been "DISABLED" with no warning or explanation. After years of using and promoting this website a simple email explaining what's gone wrong and to give me a chance to rectify the problem would of been nice... such a shame because it's perfect for recruiting good team members.

They have many bogus jobs many shady jobs and bad jobs overall the good jobs they have are often misclassified under incorrect search terms
Far too many people apply to jobs on indeed and you get lost in the deleted piles
It is the biggest most colossal waste of time
Hi there, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
Like everyone else here I had a job posting that disabled my account - and they won't re-enable it because it doesn't match their "quality standards." The posting was on other sites VERBATIM and accepted. I even sent in a tax license as proof that WE EXIST and they said nope.
Then, on top of that, they send me DAILY EMAILS saying "look at all the great applicants you've got lol isn't indeed great? Better call them!" Ridiculous. Absolutely garbage company, garbage service. Use ANYONE ELSE but these guys.

I put my resume on indeed.com and a week later i received an email from a " Gloria Williams" with email address *******@hotmail.com. She stated she was moving to my state and needed a babysitter. She sent me 1st week check and i called the bank on check and it was fraud.
Hello Desiree, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have disabled this user's Indeed account.
I just got the same disabled messages everyone is getting. We are a new physio buisness and we are looking for a receptionist, not sure why we got disabled. We followed all the rules. Can you please help?

I had posted a job listing that I had even put money into and within three days, I was suddenly disabled. I had multiple candidates that I was in contact with and then all of a sudden got blocked from finalizing interviews with. I provided many legal documents such as DEA license, methamphetamine license, my own license with the board of pharmacy and also a power of attorney document with my name and the location of the pharmacy I manage and it is still declined. I am at a loss for words as to what indeed is in search for to verify employers are "legit".

We have been sponsoring jobs through Indeed recenlty as we need to recruit a large time for our startup. We haven't even started our candidate review and Indeed decided to disable our account for no apparent reason and Indeed even blocked out our billing and invoices so we are even unable to view documents that are required for tax purposes. This is completely unacceptable and we will complain directly with the BBB for resolution.
Hi Steve, we are sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist. We look forward to working with you.
We recruit carers for quadriplegic vulnerable adults in the UK. We have used Indeed.com for a long time. Yesterday we ran an advert with the strapline "Don't be put off by the Coronavirus" and we had lots of applications as we still need to recruit carers. Then 25 minutes ago our Employer account is disabled. We appeal, explaining the situation and how we need more key workers for our vulnerable client base. Six minutes later our appeal is rejected, no reason. No ability to post, no understanding, no empathy for our clients. They've been happy to take money from us for years and when we really need applicants, they kick us when things are bleak. I hope they never have to rely on a key worker. It's a sad, corporate, guzzler of cash with no empathy.
Update 4/3: Thank you for following up with us via private message, John! We were happy we were able to work with you and get your jobs live!
This is my second go with Indeed.com. I was told that my ad's would be free and was under the impression they were. I sponsored ad's for 3 days and was invoiced and paid for these 3 days which totaled $60. Then I get a $500 charge at the end of the same month! Second go around, I am under the impression I am once again signing up for free ad's and come to find out I am charged $19 to $25 DAILY per ad. I am billed $1,000+ for 4 days of Ads. I even spoke with a representative about how I posted FREE Ad's and would consider sponsoring in a few weeks, and now I am charged $1000 for 4 days of Ads. How ridiculous - I do not recommend! The website is completely misleading and does not explain how it Defaults to Sponsored ad's on a daily basis. As a small business owner, this type of misinformation and confusion is costing my business BIG TIME.
Hi Melissa, we apologize for the poor experience you have had on Indeed. We have responded to your review via private message for further assistance.
Answer: Hello Anita, positions posted for free stay on Indeed for a total of 120 days. Sponsored positions can stay on the site until an employer has filled the job and closed it on Indeed.
Answer: Hi Sarah, we're sorry you haven't heard back from employers when submitting your resume on Indeed. We'd be happy to assist you here in reviewing your resume and offering suggestions for applying to jobs on the site. Please email us at sitejabber@indeed.com with a link to your Indeed Resume or document so that we can review. Thank you.
Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Answer: Hi Kristina, feel free to email our team at sitejabber@indeed.com with some additional details regarding your concerns and we'd be happy to take a look. Please be sure to reference this interaction in your email. Thank you.
Answer: Hi Irene, to explain, all accounts on Indeed go through a moderation process as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status. Based on your message, this is likely what you are currently experiencing. If you need assistance, feel free to email our team at sitejabber@indeed.com and we'd be happy to take a look.
