I didn't really enjoy it persay, but I'm terms of content and the ability to teach the content it is a very good site. If I were to have any complaints it would be that it's not really interactive it's mostly watching videos but that doesn't bother me too much.
"Voice & Keystroke verifications" set you up for failure.
I was assured after my first voice-verif failure (and making me have to start the course over), that I must have been in a noisy place or have minimal service on my cell. I followed up by proceeding into the bathroom inside my office (with zero turbulence) and failed that as well. After speaking with supervisors and specialists w no progression I was not only unable to continue the course but unable to receive a refund as well. CROOKS!
Don't take your permit test online in this site because its garbage. First of all, they give you 45 second to answer each question. Second of all, they don't tell you how much question you miss or your score they just told you, you fail you need 75% to pass and that's it and retake.
I really enjoyed taking this course! I learned so much. Also, it was really easy to access and I didn't have any troubles with the course. It was really fun taking it. I liked how they had pictures of videos explaining the section too.
This Is the worse program to use. It keeps asking me to do a voice recognition and then not giving me a pin and saying I've failed.the first time it did it, it tried to make me pay all over again. This is the second time the system is done this to me. DO NOT USE.
IDriveSafely made it simple for you to complete the course. They had different options to personalize on how you wish to complete to course. Once it's been done you get an electronic copy of your certificate with options on delivery. It's simple and to the point.
My son went through the course for his permit, scored 100 on his practice tests but failed the exam twice at the DMV. I thought it was him but the instructor says that their practice tests are useless for studying for the exam and the questions are outdated. I contacted customer service and they said. " The practice test are not the same as the questions that are given at the DMV, the questions are for practice and not a main resource to pass the exam. " So what good is the course or tests if they don't help you pass the test. Basically once you do the course, you can not get a refund or any help, so they get your money and you are left studying new material and paying more at the DMV, Look for a different company, this one is terrible!
The course re-states the importance of the many factors that need to be considered when driving. It reviews the many options/ decisions that have to be made to continue to drive accident-free. Remembering the statistics is hard and I should have taken notes.
This website helped me a lot, it is very good. I actually learned what to do and not to do, it is a great experience. The courses are awesome, loved the videos it has, it is very understandable. I really recommend this to anyone who is trying to get there license
This driver course is the absolute worst. Aside from being boring, you'll be forced to rewatch a video if you do not answer a highly specific question correctly. The voice verification system is crap because I was constantly told that my voice was not recognized. I hate this course so much. It is the absolute worst.
I am very sorry to hear that you had issues with the state-mandated and -regulated voice verification system and the post-video authentication questions which are also mandated by the state. If you would please email your account information to socialcare@idrivesafely.com, I will be happy to look into it for you personally.
Could not retrieve my driving record- said the information I provided was incorrect. I contacted the DOT directly and they issued my driving record right away (same info I provided to this company). Asked for a refund and they refused- very poor Customer Service and poor business ethic.
My son passed the test. Get to DMV they have no information to the confirmation number Idrivesafely gave me. Have been trying to call for the last three days no answer. The phone hung up after being on hold for a hour. Then call back is said it's closed at 130pm. Smh...
After completing the course, I entered my shipping address as requested. The company printed the certificate with my shipping address and is requesting a $10.00 fee to make any change to the certificate.
Andrew- I'm sorry to hear this. If you could please send us an email at socialcare@edriving.com, we'll be happy to look into this.
The cutscenes in between the actual information are incredibly useless and very annoying. I questioned at times whether I was watching Disney Channel or trying to do traffic school. The testimonials in the program are completely unbelievable at times and I'm fairly sure half of them are made up. The voice authentification service is absolute $#*!. Really hated every second of the damn program.
I no longer need the certificate, but I cannot find an area on the website to request a refund. There isn't even a place explaining HOW to request a refund. All it says on the matter is "We give refunds." (The subtext being "We give refunds IF you can figure out how to request one :)" )
As if getting a ticket wasn't stressful enough. And apparently there's a "processing fee" as well. Ridiculous.
The sleaziest company in existence.

My daughter completed the course. Got verification by email saying it was completed. Said verification was sent to DMV. We drove 40 miles to DMV. Five days after said completion and DMV has nothing. Try to call and no customer service. Txt or email them sit and wait. Not happy!
Hi Angela! We're happy to look into this for you. However, your username doesn't pull up an account. When you have a moment please contact us at social@idrivesafely.com with the email address on your account. Thank you!
The course site is well designed and easy to follow. The content is adequate. The overall course package wrt content and money is reasonable deal.
They provide certificate at the end, which they should mention at the start so that we will not spent on email charges. As it is unfair to charge for emailing the certificate.
Avoid at all. Voice identification does not work about 1/2 way into course.
You set up voice identification. You start the course, you get asked to verify voice after each chapter and all is good. At about chapter 5 your voice identification starts failing no matter what, and then you're forced to restart after 4 failed attempts. The course itself is not bad, but it's worthless if you can't even take the exam since their voice recognition system does not work. I called costumer service and they gave me a lot of excuses as to why I might have failed the voice test. Maybe your phone, maybe the room, maybe it was not quiet enough... (I even turned off the air conditioning system)If you're system is that sensitive then it does not work. By the way I was told there is no way to reset the voice identification half way. You must fail it 4 times then restart the course, and hope it does not happen again.

Smackdown1!
I would like to apologize for the dissatisfaction that you experienced with the New York State DMV-mandated authentication systems and that you found yourself among the 1%-5% of students who experience an issue with the system. The NY DMV requires that we use these authentication systems and that they are set to the exact parameters set by the NY DMV. Unfortunately this means that we cannot adjust them or change them in any way, or else we would no longer be able to offer classes in New York. The information about the authentication system and the automatic course failure caused by failing too many authentications is explained on our website at https://www.idrivesafely.com/defensive-driving/new-york/pirp/faq/?vID=z2Xb&eID=860#ci-q9. This information is also included in the Terms and Conditions for all of our New York courses, which one must read and agree to in order to complete registration. The applicable section reads as follows: "AUTHENTICATION STUDENT understands that for identity verification purposes, the COURSE PROVIDER may utilize one or all of the following methods for ensuring the identity of the course participant: 1.) The COURSE PROVIDER shall include voice authentication process to be answered at the beginning of the course. STUDENT will be required to meet a minimum of 7 voice validation requirements throughout the course in order to validate the personal identity of the STUDENT. 2.) During registration, if STUDENT is unable to successfully enroll in the voice authentication process, a secondary keystroke biometric process will be implemented. In this instance the COURSE PROVIDER shall include keystroke biometric authentication process to be answered at the beginning of the course. STUDENT will be required to meet a minimum of 7 keystroke validation requirements throughout the course in order to validate the personal identity of the STUDENT. Failure to provide the correct voice pattern or keystroke imprint results in authentication failure. STUDENT shall have two chances to fail authentication, after which he/she is logged out of the course thereby losing credit for all sections completed to that point. STUDENT will be redirected to registration pages and he/she will have to re-register and restart the course from the beginning." I apologize for any confusion you may have had when reading this information during registration and for any inconvenience that may have caused you. Thank you. Joe Tracey, Social Care Specialist, socialcare@edriving.com.
Though I was paying like 7 bucks--per their advertisement, but then it ended up being like 30 and I couldn't back out of it. Course content is twice as long as necessary, the timer is a joke. The content is dated. Only the front page and their tricky ability to upsell the customer for more money are impressive.
Davian- I'm sorry to hear this. If you could please send us an email at socialcare@edriving.com, we'll be happy to look into this.
