I wasted so much time just to get low scores and I just hate on how our teachers force us to do this sloppy mess of a education app
I already wrote a review on this, but I'm writing another one because this is THAT BAD. Like, I swear this LITERALLY is the cause of depression. I AM 100% SURE THAT THIS STUPID APP HAS CAUSED MULTIPLE SUICIDES. The people who made this are disgusting. They try to hide the bad reviews on their website, and do a horrible job. The "good reviews" on their website are from bad teachers and principles who don't care about their student's mental health. And also, nobody likes it so bad that in the Q and A section, they answered a question about "is i-Ready really bad?" They said it was fine. These people will go to extreme lengths to get money for parents and schools falling for this trap. They don't care about helping students, they only care about milking schools and parents for money. And they barely tried to make this dumb app. It is glitchy as hell, and when you fail it makes you do the same lesson over again. They didn't even try. The same EXACT LESSON, they just changed where the buttons are a bit. Peak laziness. I hate these people so much. I hope whoever thought this was a good idea GO TO HELL. This company is the peak of evil, I hate these people so much.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. It sucks. Sure, it may improve scores, but my mental health is DOWN THE TOILET after this. In math, it makes it so confusing, and I could fall ASLEEP while they explain the problem at a speed of like 1 sentence per 30 seconds. And, also, in English some answers are literally SO MESSED UP. Like, it says the wrong answer is correct. And also, it asks questions about what the provided poem is supposed to make you feel. It's asking how it is trying to make you feel, and, basically, if you feel anything else then it is wrong. Poetry is supposed to make you feel things, but it's different what you feel for everyone. The district only wants to keep it because it improves test scores, but they don't care AT ALL on how it impacts mental health. I could write a whole essay about how bad i-Ready is.
If you're a parent trying to get i-Ready for your kids, DON'T. It's such a scam, spare your kid their mental health and don't get it.
This is all coming from a student who has to experience this. I'm not just raging, it actually is bad for mental health and stuff. Almost every review says what I'm saying in my review. It sucks and is horrible for mental health. And, also, teachers can teach more instead of i-Ready, since they can answer questions and actually make the topic understandable.
Absolutely the nightmear of a kid I do at least 100 lesons a week for math and core😭!
I would have writed zero stars it barely even helps people learn and make them more frustrated someone failed a quiz because it said 7 times 10 is right but 10 times 7 is wrong soeones coins got drained.
I READY IS SO F****** BAD I ACCTUALY AM SO TIRED OF IT I HAD TO DO ALOT OF THINGS AT SCHOOL THIS WEEK AND EACH WEEK I HAVE TO DO 3 LESSONS FOR BOTH READING AND MATH AND I JUST WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME DURING THE WEEKEND AND IT IS THE WEEK END SO WHOEVER MADE I READY DELETE IT IT IS SO F****** ANNOYING AND LONG
I know teachers love I Ready, but students do not! It causes stress and makes me want to scream. It pretty much teaches us nothing and is a waste of time. In my class when we have to do it all the kids including me moan. Of all the learning apps I Ready is by far the worst. I suggest you do Prodigy it's fun and you learn.
I hate I ready just take me to the quiz why take so long for a damn lesson bro like creator of iready smh 🤦🏿 why is the damn app so bad like the only fun part is getting coins and playing the little games🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿🥷🏿
I am an 8th grade student that has just started using i-Ready, and I'm already fairly dissatisfied with my experience. I am forced to do 45 minutes [at the least] for both the Reading and Math pathways.
At first I was learning a few new things, but now that I'm doing more of the lessons, it's all feeling quite repetitive, and therefore a bit excruciating and boring. I'm not getting anything I need and it feels like I'm just learning the same thing I have been going over for multiple years all over again. In my opinion, applications like Prodigy and IXL are more useful.
I like Prodigy because of how the lessons are set up; they're purposefully entertaining and pull the student in with captivating gameplay, helpful explanations, and questions that fit their grade level.
Similarly, IXL covers a wide variety of curriculum in mathematics, reading, spanish, geography, and history. If you get something wrong, the system explains the steps and lets you look over them and see what exactly you messed up on.
I-Ready is not recommended by teachers nor students and should be avoided. Thank you for reading, and I hope you take my advice seriously.
This app gave my student emotional trauma and self doubt. He failed a lesson twice and was very sad and lied on the floor. The lessons were really long and he even started crying.
I wish I could destroy the automated voice because it takes so f***ing slow that it's actually painful. Like I actually read several chapters of manga waiting for the voice to stop. I often consider shouting and taking a knife to the screen.
It is a waste of time for students and a hassle to keep track of. It usually makes my students cry because of the correction system is too strict. A few parents came to complain because their kid was crying and upset. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THE WORST
Baby gronk logged into my i-ready account, and my coins were gone, i was absolutely outraged, i had to dial up my friend diddy, but he called john pork, and he couldnt put down the cup so i had to make chocolate rain, no skibidi was here either?
For starters it makes math lessons 100x slower then necessary like " I KNOW THE STUPID ANSWER I MISSCLICKED!" And my principle expects 24 kids with a combine IQ of 1 6 grader to do 2 lessons in math and reading + 45 minutes each and they both need to be 85%+ or it won't count. And that's from kinagarten to 8th grade I'd at my school mad a song for I ready " I hate you you hate me, we need to ban I ready it gives us anxiety and depression I ready is no fun, math and reading they were fun then I ready came along gave us stress as random info I ready is so dum. I hate I ready you hate I ready it hurts us mentally gave us trauma from answering incorrectly I ready needs to stop"
Everyday i think about what i had to go though in 5-7th grade. Yall nigas need to shutdown ts now! Im going to need all yall devs to end it all or just shut down iready. Yall put me though hell for three years, I swear to god if i got to encounter one of yall devs nigas is going to be kidnaped, graped, then murgered. Its over for yall nigas :)
I am a student using. I ready and it's bad because like they take to explain. What they are talking about I HATE THIS APP!,DO not buy
I ready is so good it makes you want to commit suicide. I genuinely want to kill whoever thought it was a good idea. I hate it so $#*!ing much and the automated voice takes forever
I-ready is the most duku thing I've ever heard! In case your wandering, Duku is i-ready, i-ready is duku. I ready makes me smooth brain. That y I the unsmartestest person in my class. I-READY IS DUKU!
This is absolutely trash like I hate it it's very bad and they should cancel it it is very bad and causes stress
And it's is bad for the mindset
Please shut these people down. This app is terrible every kid hates it ( including me) it was cussing at me once. All you have to do is shut it down.
I'm an 8th grade student using I-Ready since kindergarten and it's a nightmare. The first thing in the school year is the Diagnostic. The average student takes 1 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 hours on one subject. EVERYONE DREADS THIS! We have to do these on Reading and on Math. We take these in the Fall, WInter and Spring. So the average student would take 9 to 15 hours on these YEARLY! Doing this K-8th while taking 1 1/2 hours on each Diagnostic would take 81 HOURS. Then we have lessons that for me, doing high school math, take about 30 minutes each. And I feel like the lessons baby me. And this is so boring. They need to make this a little more engaging at least. I also dont learn anything from this even though it should be teaching me. This is a failed concept.
Answer: It is a scam. I can confirm that it just wants your money and what you are buying is painfully bad.
Answer: My school made me. If I become a homeschool parent, then there is no way I'm using I-ready to help teach my kid.
Answer: I can share a "success" story when it gets banned, but until then, no.
Answer: Because SOME certain schools are stupid enough to trust a random website without actually investigating if it is useless.
I-ready has a rating of 1.1 stars from 325 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with I-ready most frequently mention 6th grade, mental health and math lessons. I-ready ranks 98th among Math sites.
