We monitor reviews for authenticity
Most won't contact you at all, some write in non-sequiturs, and some ghost you. You'd think property owners would be interested in renting their properties.
We have used Zillow and HotPads for many years to advertise our rentals. They both have a section where THEY estimate the value of the property and/or the rent amount. They ALWAYS make errors in judgement on their values. DO NOT rely on their guesstimates. They MISREPRESENT properties and should be sued.
Posted pictures of a home that was not real, only the outside was legit. Asked for government ID and personal information. I spoke with the real home owner and is reporting them.
You have manipulated your website to hide the done button. Instead it shows reset search. Never using your site again. What a scam
My fiance and I had been searching for houses with 4 bedrooms all summer. Finally came across a good location, nice house and area for the kids. Well we get our lease, sign, get cashiers check for deposit and owner goes ghost! The realtor said he had done an additional background check and some things came up. Of course I'm asking for details in case this interferes with future applications. This owner would not return calls or email from us nor the realtor. I sent a text mesg to the number used for the zelle or cashapp payment and his name came right up! So basically he was ghosting us. Glad I didn't give him the deposit, but please be leary when trying to rent 1021 Sweepstakes dr in Florissant Mo.
I was very responsive and prompt with everything needed and was approved then ghosted with no explanation. It really irks and grinds my gears because school starts in 1 week!
Id like to know just how much the owners are charging compared to the amount added that Hot Pads and Zillow are getting because I'm here to tell you this is a history in the making NEVER in mt life has it costed this much to rent a damn apartment from Panama City to Pensacola and increased at least 200.00 each since last week! But the wages have not increased what's going on here? Anyone know id sure like to! Maybe the Governor will know?
It seems very strange that I have not had one response to my listing on HotPads in over a month?
It states it is a good ad, but obviously it is not an effective way to list a property for rent.
Claimed they found "perfect" affordable housing for me, filled out application including SS#, bank accounts, and lots of other personal information, Called Apartment manager to see if I could come see during application process and hour after submitting, and she "None available". HotPads "customer service number, *******368 recording says number not available.
Personal I think that hotpad is very discriminating ppl with vouchers. They have a rating of cost and. When you add the amount they give all this apartments. After they say we've got your email. Okay you say well can I apply. They then want you to work as if you are a billionaire and your credit score has to be so high. How can you then later send an email the apartment has been taken.you go on another site and see the same place. I've been searching for now sense 6/22 and I'm still not in a place. If they really did their work they would see that my email has been on there site and others. The other thing is you guys would send an questionnaire on how I been threaded and I would explain and you guys never answered back. You would also ask have the apartments that I've reached out to got back. If I say no. I hear nothing back either way. Yes I feel like I'm being discriminated because I have a voucher. It's not right. It was so much better when you had to really do the foot work. Go up to buildings/apartments. I'm in desperate need of a place. It's crazy because if I get put out. It will not look good on my record. When I'm looking and doing what I need to do. Someone help me in a studio/ 1 bedroom. I'm from NY
Listed at 1800. Didn't say anything about the 35 dollars that they charge you for a paper application that has all my info on it. Only to get a No over the phone but didn't explain why
Nope. They got me hooked in by advertising a really great deal that I got zero response BACK from, when inquiring. The "Verified" Property Management phone number wasn't taking calls any longer (did it ever?). So now I was getting matched up with DEALS in my area that were astronomically overpriced. They got me. I really wanted that too-good-to-be-true condo for $1775.00 in San Clemente. If ya know which one I'm talking about, it's not real - just a ploy. Fool me once, that's it.
Out of 100 % I receive a response 2 % of the time I just think they need to upgrade or cancel because what's the point if you can't never respond and that goes for everyone it's like they all are comfortable lazy and unconcerned about people that actually need to move or at least here something from them
Each time I've tried to enter a suggested move-in date, the site auto-enters something like "Na-Na-Na-Na." Once it's changed to that, I can't edit it. I tried to reach them via the site and I got a message that an error occurred. I don't trust them, or their listings.
You ask for a little more information and call a hour later either you get a leave a message or its been rented. It just popped up hour earlier but thes a application process? Such a joke when you alone make 5k a month and your wife makes 2k a month and they can't even be honest about their crap.
Hotpads.com is a waste of time. You won't find a unit. Hardly anyone responds and if they do its the standard you need to have a 700 plus credit rating, three jobs, 1 million dollars in the bank, and donate blood to get an apartment. You might as well just walk around to apartment complexes and look that way. The internet is supposed to make things easier not harder. Hotpads.com is a frustrating, low quality experience.
Nobody but NOBODY will answer your requests on this website. So stop trying. It has been over a month I sent requests to perhaps 100 apartments and not a single human responded to me. But my email box is loaded with fake bs of hotpads.
Availability on properties is fake. Attempted to see several properties with "first available" showing, on that day, very first available time. The site then asks for you to upload your ID. After sending that into nowhere, you are then inundated with texts and emails (a runaround). The properties are suddenly "no longer available", even though the site states a future availability date. In other words, they're using the prescreen data to 1) discriminate against certain renters; and 2) hound potential renters. (I was texted repeatedly by one landlord until I blocked him.) I'm also reporting to BBB because I've tested with different potential renters: they are discriminating against women and POC. Hire a realtor. These apps are terrible.
I wanted to do a review on this property because I had the pleasure of touring last week with Jesus.
I was quite surprised with how nice the staff was to me, it felt genuine.
I had experienced really poor customer service from a property in La Jolla an hour prior to visiting Domain in Kearney Mesa
Prior to visiting Domain I went online to schedule a tour in La Jolla with a property I rather not mention here and when I arrived to the community manager stated she was not aware of my scheduled tour and she was on her way out to lunch.
She locked the doors to the office and left me standing outside.
I will be renting a 1 bedroom 1 bath next year with Domain
Thank you leasing staff at Domain for making me feel better about coming to tour and reminding me that GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE still exists in Kearney Mesa!..
First of all, Hot Pads needs to do background checks and property reports before they let a landlord or owner list on their website. I'm specifically talking about 1695 Bull Run Southwest Lilburn Georgia which is uninhabitable property! I leased from Aug 2019-Aug 2020. Horrible living conditions thus the crawl space is full of mildew mold. Which is a direct effect on your health because it comes through the heating and air system into the dwelling. And the owner refuses to fix it. It will make you very sick. The heating and air does not work properly it has Not been totally renovated like the owner says. It's been upgraded don't let her fool you! I lived there for a year I know, and the backyard is full of copperheads there are code violations which have not been corrected. Gwinnett County cited the owner she has not completed the list of code violations. The laundry room floods the crawl space floods into the carport from runoff from the house next door the railings are loose on the entire back deck. And she is a total horrible landlord she enters the property without permission there's six police reports on the owner of this property the owner put it back on the market. Beware of this property. This property is a hazard and dangerous.
