I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with HotelTonight and their partner hotel, Naples Garden Inn. I was forced to leave my room at 3 a.m. due to a severe bedbug infestation that left me covered in painful bites (photos attached). The hotel failed to offer any meaningful support, and HotelTonight has done little to make this right.

Despite providing clear evidence of the infestation and the physical discomfort it caused me, HotelTonight refused to refund the additional $86 I paid to book a new room at a different hotel. They offered me only credits for future bookings, which I have no interest in using given how poorly this situation was handled.

This back-and-forth with HotelTonight has been frustrating and time-consuming. They have shown that they care more about protecting their bottom line than about compensating their customers fairly for significant health and safety issues like bedbugs. I will not be using HotelTonight again and caution others to be careful when booking through their platform.

There was a thunderstorm in Dallas and the power went out all over the city. I tried to book a hotel through HotelTonight. The app faulted and closed on me when trying to book a room. I called the hotel directly out of desperation and was able to secure a room. Rooms all over town were filling up fast.

Hours later a get an email that my booking went through on HotelTonight although the app closed on me.

I immediately called and explained everything and they refused to refund me money.

Unethical and unprofessional company. To do that to people who are trying to make it through power outages is unacceptable.

No one should trust this company.

I have never used hotel tonight, nor had I heard of it. I received a spam text and was told to "f*** off" when I responded not to text me again. See attached photo of text screen shot. Ridiculous.

I have used the HotelTonight app for many years, mostly because sometimes they do have great deals, I am level 13! There is very little benefit to long-term loyalty with this app, recently sitting with a friend who is level 2 and comparing rates, most rates were actually the same. A few of my rates were a little less, and yes, they do a credit you can use when you hit the next level, but the restrictions they place on you when using the app, make it very discouraging, the absolutely, no cancellation policy, is super restrictive! Also, many times the hotels do not meet the standards they claim to have. After many years, I absolutely recommend shopping around, and be very cautious when using HotelTonight

The Hotel Tonight booking of Hagia Sophia Hotel Istanbul/Old City, paid and confirmed with me has been permanently closed years ago. No information available on their website, on Hotel Tonight site, Hotel Tonight listed phone number is non-working number; Google Map and other searches also provided the same number Hotel Tonight provided that has a recording that "the phone has been non-working". After receiving HotelTonight confirmation of booking and paid in full, I got into a taxi in heavy rain and with multiple pieces luggage. Driver and I called 6 hotels in the area with similar name to Hotel Tonight booking name and none of them can find my reservation. Eventually, after stopping at 2 other hotels, I walked in the rain with my luggage still in the trunk of the taxi a block away, and find a hotel at the same address named Vogue Hotel Supreme. They could not find my "paid and confirmed reservation" by Hotel Tonight. I am now stuck at hotel lobby with heavy rain outside and multiple wet luggage's.

So far, same as previously when I had any issue with Hotel Tonight, there is no way to reach there, no response from my Help message after clicking through their various auto response and FAQ maze.

They charge the price of the room for their fees. They are a complete rip off and I did not even know that I was being charged this much until it showed up on my credit card bill. The Attorney General in California needs to look into this. They are a complete sham! DO NOT USE AND THOSE WITH SIMILAR SITUATIONS REPORT TO THE AG AND BBB!

I recently booked a 5 night stay at a hotel through Hotel Tonite. I inadvertently booked the wrong week and immediately called the company to see about modifying the dates. Or even to get a credit for future use. I have used this company multiple times the past few years, but yet they would not work with me at all. Would not modify the dates, would not offer credit for future use, would not cancel. Please be aware that Hotel Tonite does not value their customers and will not offer ANY customer service. Beware of Hotel Tonite! Please share for the sake of other travelers. I just lost over $600.

I had a issue with a room where it was unsanitary. They wanted to offer me a $50 credit last 90 days.

Used them for a hotel stay that I needed to cancel because of a hurricane watch and they said they couldn't make a one time exception to refund my money so I threw away $110. The hotel didn't get paid so hotel tonite just kept the money. Highway robbery,

I booked thru HotelTonight a room at Wonderstone in Crescent Falls, MT. After a long curvy drive thru Montana, hotel did not have record of room and told me I had been scammed. Hoteltonight refunded but no explanation and gave me a $25 voucher for next use of their services…as if…

Wonderstone had a room at a bit higher price. Pros: good water station to fill water bottle before hiking. Near gas station. Easy access to Glacier National Park. Cons: No elevator for second floor. No luggage carts.

My son and his wife were traveling through Atlanta. Their flight diverted and I know he would miss connect. I've used Hotel tonight before and thought I'd beer the rush and book a hotel. I did, the Double Tree ATL. Upon arrival they told my son…."no rooms". They also informed him they stopped selling rooms many hours before I bought my son's. They wanted to give me credit but after a hassle I got a refund. I then deleted the app never to use again.

Terrible service. My family and I booked this on this website as a last resort for our road trip because we came to Las Vegas late at night. We needed a place to stay for the night as it was 2am. We tried booking but was told there was extra fees. I used all my money to book the room not knowing there was an additional fee to be paid at the hotel $130 to be exact. I didn't have that on my card so when I went to cancel, I was told I could. It's now 3am in Las Vegas and we have no place to go and we were scammed $240. Had I known there were hidden additional fees I WOULD HAVE NOT BOOKED. BE VERY WEARY ON BOOKING ON THIS SITE. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

I didn't know what was going on with my account so I spent about few days to go back and forth with their customer service. Apparently, my account is blocked due to the charge back I claimed last September. I had to cancel my booking and book other one next day but they explained that anytime the client claims the chargeback, they disable the account and stop them from using the account unless you pay the chargeback.

I say, I won't pay for the hotel I didn't stay and of course not pay for the chargeback I already received. Not coming back at all and would like to spread the words out there for their interesting policy!

We arrive at our hotel and I give the lady my name and she said I don't any reservations. So I contact hotel tonight and tell them the problem and he says yes you do so he speaks to the front desk which they didn't book the room. This starts at 6pm and he was supposly looking for another hotel but I told him it couldn't very far from what where we are. They tried to book almost 2 hours away and I keep arguing with them. I get on their website several times and finally found my own room thur them. So I contact him back to tell him (I'm doing what he is supposed working on for 3 hours) and told him that this hotel magical shows back up on there we so he need to follow up with the hotel and make sure they have an something available. I actually called the hotel prior to and made sure they did. They did give me enough credits to cover over the amount I paid already. They tried to act like they couldn't hear me several times and also heard dogs and tons of people in the back ground. So 3 hours we finally got a room at a different hotel but I will never never use this company again and also make sure how unprofessional they are. If I wouldn't have looked my self I'm not sure what I would have done because he wasn't doing his job like he said he was. It wasn't my job to find a room after their mistake. I also feel they should have just took care of my room 100 percent considering this problem.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I don't want to even give a one star but had to pick atleast one

I made the hotel reservation through HotelTonight about 1.5 hours before I arrived at the hotel. The hotel had no record of my reservation. They stated that HotelTonight often takes at least an hour to send the confirmation email to a hotel...I tried to connect to the list of customer service reps but there was no connection. Finally I manually typed in the customer service #. After about 30 min. This person was able to confirm the reservation and send an email to the hotel. When you are very tired, you don't want to wait 1 hour in a hotel lobby for your room. HotelTonight offered me coupons for a later stay. I am not interested in that. I will never be using HotelTonight again.

My hunband and I had a delayed flight into JFK airport and at 2:30am were desperately trying to find accomodations in NYC (easy enough, right? Wrong! Everything coming up online at first search was booked because of so many delayed flights all at once). We thought we had found soemthing on HotelTonight, but after making the booking we noticed the check-in time was for 4pm later that afternoon, and we needed something iimmediately. We contacted customer service at HotelTonight right away and explained our situation and that it was an oversight, we did'nt think it was for the following night but rather that night, as of 2:30am. Hotel Tonight refused to refund us our booking despite our please mere minutes after booking, but we still took a $100 taxi to the hotel in question to make sure we could cancel the booking. We were told that because we never checked in we would not be charged, but instead Hotel Tonight refused to refund us our booking, and when I gave them the local phone number of the hotel, they simply claimed it went to a different person. They are dishonest, unethical, unempathetic, rather they expect us to book with them again for a $25 discount for our troubles. We had to walk in Times Square to 4 different hotels looking for accomodation at 3:30am because everything was booked up, we had better luck that way than with Hotel Tonight. There are many other better trusted and bigger companies to go with in search of hotels whose customer service is way better, I communucated with 4-5 different agents by email and they all gave me different answers, including a request for the name of the person we spoke with at the hotel we'd booked at 3:30am as proof that we never checked in, all impossible stuff, to add insult to injury. I wish I'd checked the ratings for this $#*!ty company before booking but we were exhausted and frantically trying to find a place for the night in a city we are not familiar with. Never again!

My PayPal Account was hacked and someone booked a room through this site. It took three phone calls to get it credited back to me and they still have not approved the credit as of yet. Not very customer friendly and seem very content on keeping money!

My Title pretty much states it all.
For me/us the site worked flawlessly.
Used this site 3 times.
But, at each hotel, when we arrived, we got the worst room they had, even if much nicer rooms were empty and available.
Why do that to someone who might return or recommend you?
If you only care about checking in, sleeping, then leaving, it's fine.
