Web site is designed to cause issues on booking dates, which you then have to pay $25 for all centre "staff" to correct! (You have to select amend button or site reverts to default dates before you select book!) Staff are rude and just keep asking for credit card details, no interest in helping customer. I believe they are working on commission of the $25. Complaints department does not return emails or phone calls... Site should be closed down. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS SITE!

Yes, Hotels Plus is clearly a scam. I made a reservation, paid in advance, and received an email (supposedly from the hotel) cancelling my reservation a month later. Hotels Plus called and said they would send an email in 48 hours saying when my refund would be processed. I waited a week and never received the email. I called and they said they had many cancellations, so it was taking a while to process them, but mine would be handled that same day. It never was.

This companies website is clearly an internet scam. Their home pages will lead anyone to believe they are dealing with the actual hotel, using false logos and banners! The site then purposely leads you to make mistakes that will cost your credit card penalties! Upon attempting to correct those mistakes with the Hotel Plus main office in Florida, minutes after noticing an error on the site, they refused to not charge financial penalties. Their employee even agreed that the site was flawed! Upon arriving at our destination, the hotel staff even advised against our ever using Hotel Plus again! It is a scam.

I have filed a police report with the Honolulu Police Dept for theft of service by hotel plus portal website. I made my purchase through this website which appeared legit. I checked and compared with other sites and this was the cheapest. This company closed out November 2015 and failed to pay the hotel's for service. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

I was booking with Expedia read their policies and booked and at the last moment was redirected to Hotel Plus Portal without noticing. I was charged in full and when I called the company they said I was to be charged 25 dollars. I called Expedia and they understood and gave me a full refund. A month later i was charged 25 dollars, I disputed the charge with Amex and won the case, now I am getting threatening letters from Hotel Plus saying they will send to collections. I posted a complaint with the BBB of Orlando Florida, and with Expedia about this company hijacking their portal. More to come...
The site is comprehensive and after shopping around I found their rates the best. I only gave 4 stars because I had to call their toll free number to get a question answered. But all in all good site to bookmark.

I thought I was booking through the hotel but instead go this scam of a company. I called to change the date. By a few days and they charged me 20% of the total bill. Then charged.me again for the room. It took me 6 Weekes to get a refund.
Stay as far away from HotelPlusPortal.com as you can! You can get better deals elsewhere, and their customer service is atrocious. They sounds smooth over the phone and promise you whatever you want and then don't follow through. Despite repeated phone calls and e-mails, my issue never got resolved. They overcharged me, refused to honor their own price matching policies, and then lied to my credit card company when I asked to intervene on my behalf causing me to lose hundreds of dollars. Save yourself a lot of hassle, headaches and money and don't use them.

I booked a hotel, receivwd email conformation, my creid card was charged full amount. One week later, 3 days before my arrival HotelPlus called me and said the internrt price that I booed was incorrect so they neef to cancel my reservations and rebook at a higher rate. When iI called the hotel that I made the reservations for, I was told they had NO RESERVATIO OR RECORD of any reservation made! Wow... WILL NEVER use HOTEL PLUS again... and will advise everyone possible of what happened to me.
This company is conducting fraudulent business and very deceitful. While I was booking on line, the company staff said the rate I got was $52 per night and told me that once I paid the 14 nights stay, I would not be able to get refund. I was sure that I would stay there and agreed on the booking. However, the confirmation said that the total payment was $925! It did not make sense. If nightly rate was $52, then the tax rate was 26%! When I called to complain around 6 pm central time, I was told that I should call back again between 8:30 am to 4 pm Eastern time to talk to the manager. I will and would like to see what action they will take to correct the mistake.
We booked a room over the phone with HotelPlus and received a confirmation number after they charged my card. They then proceeded to email us a few hours later stating that the reservation was cancelled by "The Guest" even though we did not cancel! Why would Hotel Plus create an email document claiming that response? Either it is poor attention to detail, or simply to conduct some level of transaction fraud. I placed a call to HotelPlus and they stated that the hotel was out of rooms and that they tried to call us... another bold lie!
I demanded a full refund and explanation as to how any hotel service could charge your card, create a reservation confirmation and not actually reserve the room. Their response, "well, it isn't our reservation system. We aren't at fault." That is seriously the type of business you would be dealing with here. They did agree to provide a full refund, but of course that has not occurred after numerous attempts in working with customer service. They first told me 7-10 business days, then on a subsequent call it was 10-15 business days. Oh, and they threatened that if I challenge the charge with my credit card company, it will take them a exponentially longer to provide any refund.
Please DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I rarely write reviews but I am seriously trying to help consumers from experiencing similar situations. Please read the BBB reviews as well as the Consumer Reports "Ripoff Report". HotelPlus is very popular in the world of complaints. They even had to post a video to try and justify why they don't have terrible customer service (pretty hilarious). My error for not reading about this business before transacting. BEWARE!
HotelPlusPortal.com communicates with the hotels to correct the information and if necessary, removes the hotel from their site until the hotels listing is accurate. So i prefer this hotel only.
This company is a fraud. Deceptive and unscrupulous. There should be a class action lawsuit against them.
I cancelled a necessary reservation more than 20 days before the reservation date and they are charging a fee of 20% (which was not mentioned at the time of the making of the reservation. I called the hotel Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook to talk to them about it, and the young woman I spoke with acknowledged there were many complaints about this booking company. The manager was at lunch so I could not talk with her. Marilyn is her name according to the young woman I spoke with. I think that the booking company is in fact in the business of making money in this fraudulent manner. I am sad for Pala Mesa because it has been a pleasant place for us to stay when in the area, and I can see that they are going to lose so much business because of this booking company's activity. I hope I will be able to talk with the hotel owner, but I got the impression that the hotel feels they are obligated to use this booking service for some odd reason.
