After being with them 3 months and asking about sending 150,000 emails at one time, they finally tell me they don't allow purchased mailing lists no matter how good they are! Getting information from them the whole time was like pulling teeth! Alot of kindergarten responses! SUUUCH a stressful time in my life because of them! On the phone everyday at least twice per day! They messed up my upgrade /transfer and problems with the site ever since. They refused to re-do the transfer the right way and fix every little thing as we go along!
Host Gator handled the transfer and setup of my site without issue and it is working great. I did have to contact their support a few times, but every time they were super friendly. The only issue I ran into is it wasn't working from my local network and I was told by support that since it was working on their end it was an issue with my network. Overall it took me over a week to diagnose, but what had ended up happening is my IP address was put on the IP block list during the transfer. This was definitely something that Host Gator could have helped me diagnose, but instead they pushed the problem back on me.
After resolving that issue, the hosting is going great, love the FTP and the friendly customer support that is easy to access.
So far so good. Wondering why my site seems to go offline for 10 minutes per night for the past two nights. Will inquire further if it keeps happening. Online support is mostly helpfull. Had one experience where I had to repeat myself 2 or 3 times to get the point accross but other than that, all good!

I had an issue with my website and had to rebuild with another platform. When I did this, all the secondary pages had no styling at all. Now, my site was very new so I decided to simply install a new platform... but I kept getting errors... no matter what I did. The agent took care of everything, asking questions, asking for screenshots. Great experience.

I have chatted 7 agents all they keep saying is Admin Admin will look at the issue.
Your Admin support is wanting...At this day and age messing a customer business like this is unacceptable.

I chose hostgator for its simplicity and already integrated website builders, now they are not available. I bought the business suite so i could have a store, ever since the upgrade i can no longer use the integrated website builder and i have to pay more to have the store that i already paid for.
I keep having issues with opening my email. I will log in and the server will not take me to my inbox. This issue happens across both accounts that I manage. At the same time, the inbox will not sync on my phone so I miss important time sensitive emails.
I'm not a techie and I've had difficulties with malware over the years (20 year old website) I am not a commercial enterprise so I don't have the funds to have advanced security tools. My work is mainly as an archivist and sharer of the live recordings I've made. In general hostgator have been pretty good at getting me back online quickly

There needs to be a beginner section of how to size pictures, how to retain quality, and understand of file size for ease of opening.
Then trouble shooting, what is after the thumb nail for example is correctly sized and confirmed in file attributes yet it still dose not upload right... all messed up. Perhaps clearing cookies, where else?

I haven't had functional access to my site, fflisca.com, in over a month. They've escalated issues twice. The most recent time, I've heard nothing back. Now I can't even access any of my sites through the panel. In 24 hours, I move all of my businesses elsewhere.
I've been with you all for over 10 or 12 years now and never had a problem with your service until recently. A few years ago I would have given you a 5, but recently the quality of your service has unfortunately started to diminish. I hope you all can continue to improve your service.
Vijeth has helped me with an email issue that caused my company a lot of problem. Vijeth has been very patience and helpful. I have talked with 2 Hostgator support yesterday, they gave me ways that could fixed the issue but nothing worked. Vijeth understand the issue clearly and did not waste anytime.
Very complicated new customer portal. I complained 10s of times that i cannot recognize which of mine account is going to expire coz i dont see my primary domain inside customer portal. It is uselss to submit complaints or feedbacks and its also useless to take surveys and opinions from HG as no one address the issues.
Once again, my issue did not get resolved.I was charged for services that I had already cancelled and did not receive a full refund. I also continue to receive messages regarding old domains I've already cancelled. I've turned off renewals again and again since I do not want them renewed. I should not keep getting charged for these domains. I will migrating all domains off your platform soon.
When I began to set up my sites, nothing was working. I was getting error message on everything. Wordpress would not load... Your technicians was able to resolve most of these issues but that is how I spent my time on my first day of working on this site.

I inherited these sites and Host Gator from previous owner. The price for services are cheap, but the old saying you get what you pay for. I have had nothing but problems with my websites and Host Gator support. I purchased all of the security, backups, malware, packages you offer and I continually find my website either down or in jeopardy. Your support for your products totally sucks!
I have had nothing but problems with hostgator. We upgraded our services to the VPS package and the service diminished even more. If you look at our account, we were and are plagued with nothing but issues. We lost several clients because of the responses and services that provided.

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
