I pay almost $500 for this service. And the customer services has been outsourced, and every since... this has been the worst experience. I'm so frustrated b/c I have been dealing with issues and calling for support since last year. Unfortunately, it seems that I will have to cancel this service after being with you all for 10 years.
If I can't get customer service when I needed, if the supervisor never calls back, when there is a language bearer with the customer service rep, and I have to call back repeatedly for over 7 months for the same issues that have never been resolved. What's the point of paying for this service.
Most recently, I finally found two people to build to of my websites... and you do not have an option to add a user for those purposes. This is very sensitive information and I don't want to give my password, and access to all of my account information.
I should be able to add a user only to the website building platform, without them having access to my password and my billing information.
Again, your customer service is the ABSOLUTE WORST! I loved it when I could call, get the same person, and they stayed on the phone until the issue was resolved. Now, you all collect your subscription payments and can careless if we have good service, get things resolved.
I use to refer Hostgator. I can honestly say that I absolutely HATE this service now. I'm so angry that I have been calling for this long to no avail.
And the fact that I've called several times in the last couple of weeks and asked for a return call from a supervisor, or for the call to be escalated... they have either voluntarily hung the phone after I've been on hold over an hour, or they say someone will call back, and I never get the call back.
It makes no sense that you do not have a way to add a user to an account. Most people don't know how to personally build their own website. This should be fundamental to this service.

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
