You guys who ive been with for 6 years have gone massively downhill over the last year. You used to be so quick and helpful now i dont even trust you guys have actually done anything at all seriously thinking about moving away
Good luck that is trying to reach someone regarding a website hosting problem. Not only have I spent dozens of hours waiting to talk to someone about a specific situation, but half the time you receive invalid information to fix the problem. And you guessed it, you get to call back and wait in the que for another hour...hoping you get someone this time who actually knows what the real fix is to your problem.
Then there's the privacy option they sell on top of your package to protect your personal contact information from the circling buzzards that want to help you get your website all fixed up. Don't fall for it! I think it actually attracts them right to your phone. I've had to block nearly 500 calls from such little scammers. End result I will never waste any more time dealing with their inferior services.

Customer service is poor. Features are limited. Siteground is better. My interaction today with the chat was worse than speaking to a chat bot. I asked for a refund for a canceled service and the representative responded, "I'm still trying to analyze the root cause of the issue." There was no issue. This type of confusing interaction continued for 20+ minutes. I've moved all of my sites from Host Gator for issues like these and recommend my clients do the same.
Hostgator is a complete scam. DO NOT & I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ordered a dedicated server with hostgator & the representative that assisted me with my order did not sell me the correct dedicated server package that I had intended to order. I needed the WHM & Cpanel along with the dedicated server. I put in a request not even 1 day later for a cancellation & a refund and was told I couldn't get a refund and I would be also charged hundreds more to do an upgrade. I'm so sick & tired of companies like this. The representative made the mistake and now me the buyer is being penalized for it. When does the GREED end? Stop giving companies like Hostgator your money. DO NOT BUY A SINGLE PRODUCT FROM HOSTGATOR. You have been warned.
