My father listed his home just before he passed away. After nearly a year on the market with little results, I discovered that the realtor was making unauthorized and improper changes to the home. Upon arriving to my father's house, over 200 miles away, I discovered things were also missing. After a month of work the house was ready to list again. Not being local, I wasn't sure what my best choice was so I checked with HomeLight. A list of local realtors was provided in order of their successful sales record. From the list The Quist Team was number one by far. Upon listing the home, I had the buyer in under a week. I don't know that I would have found this realtor without HomeLight. I plan on using HomeLight again as I will be looking for a second home in Florida.

We needed to sell our fathers home after his sudden passing. Because we were out-of-state, we knew that the agent had to be willing to coordinate much more than may usually be needed. We had no idea where to begin finding a good agent for our needs until we learned about Homelight.

The Homelight web site saved the day for the selling of my home. In the Safari web browser I simply typed in Best realtors in the Albany NY area' and Homelight popped up. Since they are a national organization I assumed that they had the best method of rating real estate agents. AND THEY DID! Within minutes of my request I received contact calls from 5 realtors. I didn't have to worry that I would make the right selection because Homelight did that for me! My house sold within a month. My realtor had 3 open houses in 4 weeks! Boom! All this is is a site to collect YOUR information so that they could give it to annoying real estate people to call you to get a listing fee. Don't fall for it. They do not tell you property value like other sites freely without the need to divulge your personal history. Go to Trulia or Zillow for an easy price quote. Also, you can save THOUSANDS of dollars if you want to list your property yourself for a set fee and save the exorbitant listing agent 3% cost.

As you know, buying or selling a home is one of the more stressful things anyone will ever do. We lived in our house for over 30 years and it was the only home purchase we ever made. When the time came to sell, we had no idea where to start looking for an agent.
My thought was to the most successful realtors in my area and start interviewing them. After speaking with several agents, HomeLight lead me to Paul Lamastra.
