HGTV is for people who like TV without the drama. Will not watch Flip or Flop again due to relationship issues being aired.
Awful. A lot of their "sayings" are copied. Her drawings looks a 10yr old drew them. PLEASE CANCEL THIS SHOW!
Reading the comments and looking at the winners for all the million dollar sweepstakes, does HGTV support minorities or BLM in any form?
Enough of Fixer Upper! This show is one all the time along with Love it or List it! BORING TO SAY THE LEAST!
Love this site they know everything you need to know about home and garden, my favorite
DREADFUL SHOW. As soon as a commercial comes on for this show, I have to mute it or change the channel. TERRIBLE.
A good show to watch very interesting even if you are not a home owner
HGTV is the BEST! I have watched HGTV since in junior high school with my darling architect aunt who has installed the love of renovation in my blood. Now, a proud physician assistant who flips home on my days off, I have continued the tradition with my own family.
Watching "The family Tree," with Ben and Erin find a man fixer-upper that was aired on 12/11/2022 {HGTVHD 229} with a homeowner who was moving back to town as an engineer I realized there is a pattern with HGTV and not only with this show. The pattern is regardless of the Black American occupation or status, they ALWAYS stick the African American on "the other side of the truck, (The black community) never integrating the two communities. The show prior to this one was a young white couple who come back into town from New York city after completing his residence and was moved into a great white Neiborhood with beautiful tree line, great manicure lawn, large space and excellent school. Whereas this young black engineer with a great career was place directly next to his mother's house (Less desirable Neiborhood) in which he was adamant he DID NOT WANT to do but, was pushed into and was convince into choosing, which turnout to be a disaster. This is a perfect example of "redlining" in housing, a practice of denying a creditworthy applicant a loan for housing in a certain neighborhood even through the applicant may otherwise be eligible for the loan." which is illegal. Sadly, his home will never yield the same equity turn-over as the other neighborhood and will continue systematically.
What I would like to see in the future is integration by placing black families into nice neighborhood too with tree lines, well-manicured lawn, great schools. Furthermore, please high light the married black successful individuals in your town looking for housing too. I am certain they are a few! In order to continue supporting this channel change will need to be administered; where it is essential to highlight success amongst the black community in our great nation.
God Bless America, PA, MHI
Please stop showing Love it or List it reruns! This show was horrible when it was on the 1st time!
This is a beautiful site, but it makes us dream and not makes us act
I may stop watching HGTV as the Home Town ad plays over and over and over. Is that the best HGTV can do?
The ads for this show are so annoying! What is with the "Get up and do it". Get up and do what? Erin does not have the class of other shows. She doesn't instill confidence in her so called skills. I will not be watching this show!
Usually ideas that are doable and step by step instructions.
They really don't know where you live. So their advice is not good
I never miss this program, love the couple and their designs
I found a lot of cool and interesting ideas we can help to use.
I loved it, They have fabulous collection of decorating home.
Very helpful in the planning stages for redecorating my home
I love the creative ideas. What ever happened to Design on a Dime?
Answer: There are SO many commercials for Hometown ( more than 6 per hour), I won't be watching it because I am sick of the couple posing and posing. So many commercials mean something is wrong with the show. HELP PLEASE!
Answer: I agree! Landscapes, gardening... something that blends in vegetation to give a nice break from home remodels.
