Terrible transparency, business process, user experience. Multiple job cancellations and the jobs completed were barely qualified. Support response is dismissive, until you request account deletion.

I bought it as part of my Chromebook purchase from Walmart to provide tech support for my husband who is not knowledgeable. We set up an account and when we called the service they told us they don't support CHROMEBOOK and we would have to have them come to our house for another $100. They blamed Walmart and Walmart blames them... so I am out the EXTRA $100 I paid for them and no one takes responsibility for it. HORRIBLE!

My tv started to fall

Ok so I went to hellotech so I could get my tv mounted the same day I moved in and not have to wait like 2 week for the geeksquad to do it and the guy was very nice but literally the same night that he installed it I could see I start to fall off the wall luck I caught it before it fell all the way so naturally I asked for my money back and they said that they would be happy to once they got pictures of my wall and it has been over two weeks I have talked to 9 different people and I still have not gotten my money back I wish I could give them negative stars

LAST YEAR HELLO TECH SENT ME 'WHAT THEY CALLED A 5-STAR TOP TECHNICIAN.
ARRIVED AND BRAG ABOUT HOW HE HAS A PRIVATE BUSINESS WITH THE CLIENTS HE

OFFERED ME HIS PRIVATE SERVICE FOR LESS MONEY-WITH CASH...GAVE ME HIS PRIVATE
NUMBER.THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND CALLED HIM TO SAY 'THOUGHT IT UNETHICAL.GOT ANGRY AND CALLED BACK WITH ALL KINDS OF SEXUAL BODY LANGUAGE-KEPT LEAVING LURID MESSAGES.
VALLED HELLO TECH-3 TIMES TO REPORT IT.NO ON CALLED BACK-AS I PAID FOR A ACCOUNT WITH THEM.CALLED CORPORATE-LEFT A LONG MESSAGE WITH SPECIFIC INFORMATION.NEVER RETURNED CALL.CANCELLED MY ENROLLMENT BUT KEPT MY $89.00 PLUS...THIS LAST MONTH JULY 2023 A FRIEND CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW THEY

I had 2 ring wired cameras I needed installed. They told me they could do it the next day sometime between noon-8pm.At 6pm the next day I got an email saying I needed to give them 2additional days that they could do it. I gave them 2more dates. Same thing happened. I canceled the order and was told that the $225.50 they had put a hold on at my bank would be refunded. It's been 3weeks and it's still not been done. I wouldn't recommend dealing with this company.

The worst experience ever. Luis from Hello Tech was so unprofessional. He turned up with no tools. He insulted me to my sons when I left the room and would NEVER use this company again. I work with contractors all the time with our home and this was the worst experience ever. NEVER USE THIS CONPANY.

I signed up for their service to hang up 2 tvs in April. It took their guy 2 days to complete the job which should have only taken a couple of hours and it made me have to take 2 days of work. Nice guy but job was out of his skill set that it took him 2 days. Since I already had the service I set up an appointment to install my ring alarm system. A guy contacted me and asked for a picture of the equipment. After I sent it I got a " your technician is no longer available " message. They rescheduled another appointment and again no show and now more time off of work. When it happened the 3rd time I decided to cancel their service it was obvious that they did not have the trained personnel to do the jobs they say they can do. I followed their directions for cancellation and I talked to a person who said sorry you're unhappy, we will cancel your membership, after he tried the hard sell not to leave. I said CANCEL I can't afford the days off of work and you can't provide people to do the job. Last month I happen to go over my CC bill and realized I was still being billed for their service. I called and said I canceled in April and to you need refund me my money. It took a war and an act of God but they finally cancelled me but refuse to refund all my money. They refunded August but not the rest. BEWARE, very shady practices!

THE TECHNICIAN CAME WITH NO TOOLS TO WORK ON MY COMPUTER. HE ASK FOR A SCREW DRIVER AND FLASH LIGHT. I WAS TELEWORKING AT HOME THAT DAY, MY TELEWORKING IN THE LIVING ROOM AND MY PERSONAL COMPUTER IN THE BEDROOM. HE WALKED AWAY WITH MY SPECIAL TACTICAL FLASH LIGHT AND SCREW DRIVER. HelloTech installed my TV on the wall on December the 2nd 2023. They charge me $148 with a membership fee of $19.99. The mechanic that installed my TV was polite and courteous and he did an excellent job for which I gave him a nice tip. HelloTech did not make it clear that the membership fee was a monthly fee that would last one year and roll over until October 2026. I sent an email to them on March 5th 2024 stating that I want them to stop billing me the $19.99. They sent me instructions on how to cancel their membership fee. This is where they made it very clear that their membership fee was a monthly fee that would last a year. I called them that same day and ask them to stop billing me the monthly fee they said they would not, I asked them if they could change my yearly plan to a 6-month plan and they refused I also asked them if they could change it to the hellotech light plan they also refused to do that for me. The only thing they could do for me was to turn off the auto renew. They have billed me $19.99 for 4 months now. I feel like they should reimburse me for at least three of those months.
I have read several complaints about HelloTech on this same subject of membership, and you can clearly see they are deceiving people deliberately. This is what most people refer to as a scam.

Absolutely the WORST customer service experience I've ever been through.
I go through their online scheduler and set an appointment for 4:00 on Saturday. I get a confirmation email and text that the technician "Jamie" will be there. I wait all day for "Jaime" to arrive and around 4:15 I decided I need to call and make sure this technician isn't lost. I call the company and they say that they need to get in touch with him and they'll call me back. 20 minutes goes by and I hear nothing so I call again. They give me the same script and a few minutes after I get off the phone "Jamie" calls me. At this point its 4:45. He says that he's stuck in a neighboring town (thats over an hour away) and that he'll be on his way in the next hour (making him a minumum 2 hours late). I call the company and there's nothing they can do and ask me to reschedule. I waited ALL DAY for this technician to show up. All they had to do was call and tell me they were running late yet they didn't.
This company does not value their customers time and business. They absolutely do not deserve a chance to work on your home. Don't waste your time with this scam.
