This is such a wonderful app/site. I have done 4 challenges in the last 6 months, 3 small ones and 1 BIG one. I lost 40lbs in 6 months and won $1538. 00 (I invested $600)and if I had of had more faith in myself I would have submitted a much higher wager.

HealthyWage is an amazing service! I bet that I would lose 100 pounds in 11 months, and I did it! I paid in a total of $2,000 over the 11 months, and won $5,000, so profited $3,000. I got paid right away with no issues. HealthyWage gave me that spark to get started, and provided structure/urgency to keep me going throughout. I highly recommend this to anyone who's had trouble sticking to a weight loss plan. When there's money on the line, you're definitely more likely to get it done!

So I joined to this joke of healthy wage. First of all, if you made the mistake to join, you better be prepare to loose the weight or the money cause there is not cancellation to it. Second, if you also made the mistake to joint to the challenge you would not make much. This challenges are base on a pot, which means you share the price among the winners, not without the HealthyWage company taking their share first. Said that, I entered into a pot where the entry money was $100. I won and I ended making 12 dollar approximately. Then there was another pot challenge where a made 8 dollars and you gotta take PayPal fees a as well so less that 8 dollars. Seriously?. Such as scam, and shame of Jillian Michaels on supporting this scammers. Of course you will loose the weight because you won't like to loose the money. But is this really a healthy formation of habits? I don't think so.

App has been super helpful so far. Have lost 20 pounds already. I recommend creating your own paper version and posting it somewhere you can see it every day. Weight loss requires a lot of gradual changes to habits which takes time and it can take a while. Weight loss may be slower in the beginning while habits are being modified and then will pick up steam. The progress tracker assumes that weight loss happens at a steady pace through time and so the 'progress score' can be discouraging. Progress score may show that you are behind schedule while you in reality have plenty of time to get the weight off. Use your personal judgement to decide if you can pull it off in the time you have left. Dont let a low progress score derail you!

The way this company works is you first make your big HealthyWager challenge. This is the goal you create by agreeing to losing a certain amount of weight in a certain time frame. This is the challenge you pay monthly installments on and end up getting a nice payoff from if you complete it.

I originally left a 2/5 review. This was due to the mini challenges, which are (team or individual) challenges that you can enter along the way in addition to your big HealthyWage challenge. The reason they didn't work is because the majority of the time, everyone in the challenge would hit their goal and so there would be no payoff. In this case, you just get the money back that you put into it. That's fine and dandy except Most of them didn't pay off and the ones that did were maybe $1-4. So essentially you gave them money, didn't earn even interest on it, and they send it back to you months later. The crazy part though, is to get your money back you have to pay $7 for them to send you a check or you can pay $2+3% for a PayPal deposit. Either way, if enough people win the mini challenge, then you don't even get back the full money that you put in.

They waive the $7 check fee once every 6 months (As long as the check is below like $850), so if you partake in only one mini challenge, you could get your buy-in returned to you for no cost. But I joined and won 10 mini challenges, meaning they would waive the check fee for the first one but anything after that I'd have to pay for. I stand by my original review that this policy is totally lousy.

The reason for the revised review however, is due to the fact that I won my BIG healthy wager challenge. So at the end of the day, they did what they were supposed to do. They created a way to motivate me to to lose 40 pounds, plus I made a great return on my installments. I paid $180/month for 6months. I am now getting my winning check for $2200. That's a good enough feeling (plus being skinny) for me to give them a solid 4/5 stars.

Takeaway: Go big or go home. Don't bother with the mini challenges. If you think you can make a big goal and stick with it, then you'll get a big payoff.

Healthy Wage sent out an email inviting users to sign up for a healthy wager bet-the large individual bet, even if you had gained weight back from your last bet. They typically call this the yo-yo rule. They allowed users to sign up for the bet, collected our payments- and then cancelled anyone who had already succeeded. This is breaking their contract as well as an extremely poor business practice. Instead of responding, they have blocked everyone from their social media and sent emails that they appealed our decisions for us and there is nothing that can be done. They sat on thousand of dollars before refunding & were able to collect a lot of money in interest. This seems highly unethical- if not completely illegal.

£600 and 6 months of consistent and steady weight loss to achieve my final goal after, I saw NO MONEY BACK from this company. Do not trust with your hard earned money. My weight goal was achieved, all necessary proof of that was sent to them and they still refused to send me my money back for my win. Utterly fraudulent and unethical business practice. Although it may sound like a great way to lose weight, if you happen to get your money back, it's probably more because of luck than actual results, so be aware of that before signing up for this fraudulent company. I am frankly disgusted by the way they run this business. After I tried to make the other members of their community aware of my experience, they blocked my account and deleted my post. WITHOUT returning my money back of course. Very transparent business practice as you can see. DO NOT TRUST. The money you see in the picture has never been returned to me, even after achieving my weight goal.

Healthywage helped me get on the path to actually being healthy after years of my weight creeping up to the point where I was morbidly obese. I was able to win over $2000 by committing to lose 75 pounds in 8 months, although I was able to lose 100 during that time period. Healthywage kept me accountable when I did not want to share with others at the start of my weight loss journey, and it was exciting to think about how I would use my winnings at it actually became realistic towards the end. It paid out exactly how they say it would and the verification process was easy. There isn't anything bad I can say about being in much healthier place in life and having more money because of that decision.

HealthyWage is a legitimate company that allows you to pick a weight loss goal, set a time frame in which to lose weight, and set a monetary prize (based on length of time and how much you want to put in). I loved the flexibility and how everything was told to me up front - I knew exactly what I had to do to win the bet against myself. I won $1,511 for losing 45 pounds. I would recommend this to anyone and can't wait to set another goal to keep my weight loss journey going!

I signed up for HealthyWage and participated in at least a dozen challenges along the way. I was forced to videotape myself in front of a full-length mirror, go into the next room where I had a hard surface and could videotape myself on the scale and then proceed back into the room with the mirror since all of the rooms in my house with a full length mirror include carpeting and I live alone. This proved to be no issue for every single challenge that I've participated in, however, when it came time for the final way in (with the largest payback), they refused to accept my video because of the method in which I had to record myself. I'm out almost $1,600 because they decided that the method I had followed all along was suddenly "suspicious". If you ask me, their behavior is what is suspicious. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone.

I like HealthyWage! It was so easy! The app made it even better. All I had to do was choose how much I wanted to lose, the time frame to lose it and how much I would wager each month. After putting in additional information, my prize was calculated. I did my verified weigh in and the weight loss journey began. This is a self-reliant, incentive program. I did not feel any pressure to spend money on any meal plans, trainers, or exercise program. I'm not sure if HealthyWage offers any of those things. I was free to lose the weight my way! I had full control! I lost 65 pounds in 12 months and won $1,285. I loved putting my weight into the app every week and seeing the progress I was making. If anyone is considering making a healthy wager, do it! It will be worth it! You have to put in the work and make it happen though!

I had a great experience with Healthy Wage. The possibility of winning a large amount of money for losing weight was very motivating for me. The HW support staff is great to work with.
