The absolute worst company I've ever purchased anything from. The wig was sent back July 5th and I am still waiting for my replacement wig. It's July 31st. Apparently, they purchase their wigs from other companies, and when there's a return it has to go back to their vendor for approval. This means us, the consumer, have to wait for their vendor to approve the return on a purchase that was made between me and Headcovers, not me and their vendor. That's like me buying a loaf of bread, returning it to the grocery store, only to have the grocery store tell me they have to get the approval from the baker.

For the past several conversations I've had with Headcovers, I've been told that they didn't know what was delaying the return. Now that I'm putting pressure on them, they've come back to say the wig had makeup on it and an odor to it. I NEVER wore the wig! Apparently, if they feel under pressure, they think it's best to insult the customer.

I've purchased many wigs, and I've never been treated this way before. Actually, I've never been treated/insulted by anyone else I've purchased anything from in all of my life.

Unfortunately, I'm at their mercy because I used a store credit. So I have no recourse but to wait for them to send me my replacement wig. I will be contacting the Attorney General and the BBB, to file a complaint.

In the future, I will stick to the wig companies I've happily dealt with in the past.

I hope my review saves at least one person from going through what I've had to deal with.

So happy I found this site! I love every head covering I bought. I'll have to be wearing these for a while, I just had a craniotomy 5 weeks ago and now I'm facing radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy. The surgery was the second time for me, yet the new therapies are a first. I'm grateful to have found a place that has such a huge selection of head coverings in all different colors, and materials. I personally believe that when you're not feeling your best, wearing something that's pretty can boost your happy, at least it does for me! You've done a great job Headcovers.com! I'm a very grateful and content customer.

I have bought one hat, and four "hair for hats" from this company. The first piece was 100% perfect. The second was not. Because of that, before I purchased another similar piece I called the company and asked the customer service person to tell me how it was made. She did so gladly. Then the colors I wanted were not available. She did everything she could to describe the colors and suggest similar choices. She also explained fully the terms of return (which, unfortunately I will have to do with the last 2 pieces). The hat I bought (cloche) was excellent and have received many compliments. Let's face it, most of use don't want to have to use this company. I know at the time I found them I was in the throes of anxiety and depression not only over losing my hair, but the impending surgery and chemo/rad. Treatments in general. All things considered, I feel they have done their best to make the going very pleasant.

First of all I had to correct the mailing address on my order. The Headcovers rep on the phone was more than helpful, and my hat arrived several days before expected. The color and style were as pictured; furthermore, there were a few pleasant surprises. The drawstring inside the brim allows me to adjust the size, a real bonus on a windy day. The deeper, stiffer brim cuts down on daytime glare, as I had hoped. The added benefit is that I can tilt the back part of the brim to keep it from riding up if I'm wearing high-collared top.
