Haworth Guitars Australia Reviews Summary

Haworth Guitars faces significant challenges in customer satisfaction, primarily due to high pricing, perceived deceptive sales practices, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report delays in order processing and shipping, leading to frustration over unmet delivery expectations. Issues with product quality upon arrival, such as damage and poor condition, further exacerbate dissatisfaction. Additionally, the company's responsiveness to refund requests and customer inquiries is notably lacking, contributing to negative sentiments. Overall, while there may be potential for quality products, the prevailing customer experience suggests a need for substantial improvements in service and reliability.

Worst guitar shop ive ever dealt with
December 14, 2021

I ordered a guitar on the 1st nov, recieved an email 2 days later saying it was coming from a warehouse and it would take 2 weeks max, i immediately replied thanking them for the update and also asked about getting some heavier gauge strings and some seymour duncan pickups, no reply.

2 and half weeks went by with no communication so i emailed again asking for an ETA, they told me there was an issue with processing the order and that they would refund my express shipping cost and still send it via express, they didnt. They sent it via standard postage.

I got the guitar on the 1st dec, as i opened the box i immediately noticed it was covered in swirls, scratches all over the guitar, there was corrosion on the frets, fingerprint smudges, 3 strings weren't sitting in the grooves in the saddle and it came tuned, the plastic on the tuners was old and falling off, they have a haworth garentee and have a 35 point inspection on their guitars before theyre sent out. I emailed on the 2nd dec and didnt get a reply, 6 days later, still no reply, i emailed the manager and he organised a return on the 7th, they recieved the guitar on the 8th dec, its now the 15th dec and i still havent heard back from them. I have now submitted a complaint to the ACCC for a full refund. Do not shop with haworth guitars. Their apologies are unsincere, their customer service is trash, they dont keep their promises. They haven't even sent me an invoice. Save your time and shop elsewhere

They overprice all their guitars and pretend that everything is on sale. Then on top of that offer terrible customer service.

I ordered a Behringer TM 300 on 9 May from Haworth Guitars on eBay. Delivery was to be between 15 and 17 May. Instead of sending the item the next business day or within a reasonable time frame, the company sent it on 16 May (AusPost tracking number **************), meaning that it would not be delivered by the due date. When the item did not arrive by 18 May, I contacted the seller for a refund and ordered the item elsewhere.

Haworth Guitars wrote to me stating that they would issue a refund once the item was returned to them. It was returned to them on 24 May (see above tracking number). However, they did not refund the money and ignored further refund requests. Now they have the product AND my money!

I escalated the matter with eBay who initially rejected my claim. According to eBay, Haworth Guitars used a loophole in eBay's policy that even if an item was sent late, and even if it was returned to the seller, it counts as being delivered to me. After speaking to eBay, they looked at the case again and are now providing a refund. Beware of eBay's loony reasoning for initially rejecting a refund. Australian law overrides any eBay policy.

By selling on eBay, Haworth Guitars are still obligated to honour the agreement we have entered into. They misled me twice: first by claiming a false delivery date and second by not providing a refund as agreed (evidence is available upon request to anyone who is interested). It is up to Haworth Guitars to make appropriate delivery arrangements, not me.

Under eBay policy, you cannot advertise an item unless it is actually in stock. By sending the item late, either the item wasn't in stock, or this company is incompetent in processing simple orders. Based on their refusal to provide a refund although they agreed to it, Id say the latter. Either way, I will never order from this mob again.
