Ok, so it's been about 2 years since my last review on their blades. The good news is I can now purchase them at Walmart so don't have to order them online... but sill can if I wish. No bad news to report. All the blades seem to be working as designed and haven't cut my face up like some other blades have. Once note though, I don't use shaving cream to shave with... Not even Harry's. I use butter soap which in my case works the best.
For those having issues, like stubble left behind, I hate to say it but you're shaving incorrectly. Even though some say you should never go the opposite way, that's the only way I can shave and get a smooth shave even with other blades like Gillette. The issue I have with G was, no matter what I did the blade cut up my face. Went back to Harry's after they updated their blades and no more cuts.
And like I said before, no, I don't work for Harry's for they really can't afford me. Really...
Here is my long overdue review update. After getting the new blades I started to test them right away. They were sharp and after many many shaves, using 6 of the 8, I found them to be of good quality and design (better then the last ones I had). I shave 6 days a week so each lasted about 6 shaves which was very good. I do shave different then most. For the first couple of shaves I go against the grain which is very hard on your face. But my beard grows in every possible direction so to get a clean shave I have to shave against the grain. But at the end of the week I shave with the grain which is not as clean. Such is life...
In the end I would have to say Harry's blades are no worse than the competition but cost less. I believe they are better in design. For those who are having issues I say to you, there is no such thing as perfect. If the blades don't fit you then change to something that does. Harry's is a young company and they do make mistakes. They made one with me but they corrected it after I hit them over the head a few times. But they got it, or at least I hope they did. The customer is NOT always right but you still must listen to them. I got my money back for the last order and they sent me 8 blades for free.
After finding a bent blade in one of the competitions blade packs, I wont say their name but it starts with a G, they ignored my complaints. They wouldn't even talk to me. Harry's did. Sometimes it's customer service that keeps a customer. Sometimes it's a great produce. It's very cool when it's both.
If something better comes alone, I might take a look but for now I'm staying with Harry's. And by the way, no, I don't work for them. They couldn't afford me :).
Here is my update... I talked to a few customer service people and someone Karen decided to refund my last order. Ok. They did after sending them a few provate messages. I then received an email saying my order has been process and will ship shortly. Even though I didn't order any new blades, someone at the company decided to take me up on the offer I stated. "What I would really like is for you to send me an 8 pack free of charge, not money. I'm willing to give your company another shot but the first step must be yours.". They responded: "No problem. In lieu of the refund, we've sent you a replacement pack instead. You'll see that soon. Enjoy!". So I received 8 new blades, took about 2 weeks to get them, and they also refunded my last order.
My only question to them would be: Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing?... But then again, thanks for the refund and the 8 new blades.

After emailing Harry's, the person that answered me didn't bother to read my email in full. Their answer was stupid to say the least.
They lost a good customer because all they said, like on here, they will send it to R&D. Nothing for the customer... all for them.
Expectations created, expectations satisfied - met and surpassed. I remain delighted with my subscription - it is a reliable resource, timely, adaptable, responsive - and so on. They must have really good people as they continue to improve as time has gone on and even as they enjoyed their initial success. Keep up the great work.
I was with the other guys razor delivery and they were good but I felt like they took long to send out your razors and there handles were breaking on me to often. Ever since I switched my razors come on time, I usually have 2 razors left before I get my new shipment so I'm never left using one for more than a week. And best of all my face feels smooth like butter.
Shockingly, I was not racing to the post office every day to see if my Harry's order had come in. I was ordering in anticipation of using up my current supplies of shampoo and deodorant. Sending out the marketing hounds when the items are still in their shipping wrapper seems a bit desperate at best, pushy intrusive at worst. Ask me again in a couple of months if you must.
I love Harry's products. I'm guilty of trying to be frugal, or cheap, and trying to always just get one more shave out of my blades. With Harry's automatic shipments it's just the encouragement I need to go ahead and change my blades. As a result I get a much cleaner smother shave. After applying the after shave balm I can clean up those tough spots on my neck and never ever have any razor burn!
I always get an email acknowledgment of my impending shipment that allows my to log in and change my order or add other products. I'm tough to please and I love Harry's!

I'm elated with both orders received and the whole of Harry's product line. The entire ordering process from their website to checkout to delivery is smoother than butter cream. The soaps are prob the best I've ever used from their lather to the scents; exquisite, subtle and they keep me coming back for more. My new chrome razor and blades creams and aloe are by far the best, bar none. Great gift for Christmas and the Holidays!
Great shave. Blades last me about two weeks and I shave everyday. The trimmer blade is nice for hard to get areas but you need to know it's there. I cut myself a few times until I figured out there was a blade on the top.
I'd ordered a Harry's starter pack for my husband a while back. He is notoriously thrifty, and would tend to purchase the cheapest disposable store razors available. He was skeptical at first, but after using the shave gel and razor, he was sold. He'd received a second razor as a gift, and planned on using it as a travel razor until I 'borrowed" it one day to shave my legs when I'd run out of blades. I've been using it myself for about two months, and love the close shave it provides to both my legs, and my husband's face. The auto ship is perfect, and between the two of us, we are spending less. I'd recommend Harry's to anyone who shaves. You won't be disappointed.
Very convenient to have a standing order online and delivery every three months. Just order and forget it. I find the blades are top quality as well as the shaving cream. No neck burn. I highly recommend this service for quality and convenience
Harry's razors and shave gel are an amazing deal, you get a great shave for a reasonable price. Their blades last me easily about 10 days of daily shaving, i have strong growth but not a heavy beard.
Their shower gel leathers and cleans well, stone is my favorite scent, it's clean and refreshing with a bit of menthol. Their deodorant works well for a very good price.
Overall I recommend Harry's line for anyone seeking value and performance!
I purchased a Harry razor and cartridges. After 3 months of being on the plan, happy to say that it has been a good change. Razor works well. I like how the razor is out together and kept after use. Overall very pleased.
Harry's truly offers a superior product. I've been using the razors, shave cream, and balm for a few years now. The razor has the best shave of any product I've used and it lasts a long time so you're not replacing blades constantly. The Harry's service is fantastic. Order your products online and it shows up quickly. Last but not least, I really like the no-nonsense, funny, practical communication I get from the website or any customer service contact.
I tried these as an alternative to Gillette blades due to the attractive prices. They came in a box which seemed quite nice but not premium. The foam was not great but thought I'll give it a go. Within two strokes I got cut and was only going to get worse. A day later I thought to give it another go buy with my shaving gel. Again another case of being slashed across the face. Avoid these blades and use a safety razor or stick to a proper brand
Hi Jay, we're always looking for ways to improve, and I'm sorry to hear about your initial experience with our Blades and Gel. We’ve had some customers share similar feelings at first, only to tell us later that their shave drastically improved as they stuck with it. Sometimes it helps to experiment with the angle at which you're holding the blade and the amount of pressure you're using (too much or too little).

I've been a big fan of Gillette razors for many, many years but the cost has just gone out of sight. So I started using Harry's razors about 2 months ago. I had tried the blades from another shaving club program with disappointing results but the Harry's shaving experience for me has been fantastic. In my opinion, Harry's razors are as good as or better than Gillette at a fraction of the cost. And I really like their shave gel. It works well and smells like something a barber would use.

Harry's blades are way better than any others out there. They stay sharp longer than any of the blades I have had from Gillette, or any of the big brands on the market. The shave gel is another winner from Harry's, a little goes a long way. This gel is wonderful for my old sensitive skin. I can shave 7 days a week and never any problems with irritation at all. Every time I place an order, it usually arrives early and complete.
I've tried just about every shaving option possible over the past 40+ years. I bounced from one brand to another, including all of the current online options. Then I tried Harry's and I can't imagine ever considering a switch. Harry's has the best products in each category. Best blades, best handle, best shaving cream and after shave balm... PERIOD! On top of the best products, their delivery system allowed me to set up delivery on the perfect schedule for my needs.
So I started out with the razors from Harry's and was pleased with the product since day one and haven't looked back. Then one day I decided to try out the soap that Harry's had to offer and what else can I say but "NAILED IT!". I tried the 4 bar order first with each one having a different scent and I loved them all... seriously, I can't pick a favorite (okay, maybe the redwood). These soaps smell great; not too overpowering and not too light... they are just right. They have a rich lather, leave my skin feeling clean and the bars themselves last forever so they are worth the price of admission. I've tried other non-store brands of soap and Harry's is by far the best on the market. Keep on keeping on Harry's... appreciate the products that you provide and so does the wifey, she loves a well groomed and good smelling husband.
I really wanted to get along with this razor, great razor handle design, great marketing but sadly I can't get a close enough shave even after 3 passes in different directions first with the growth direction second across and third against. So back to my old 5 blade razor.
After trying all the online razors I chose Harry's great shave at a great price. I'm very pleased with this product and anyone I've had the pleasure of talking to and have told all my friends about Harry's to stop throwing there money away on expensive drug store razors.
The blades I receive from Harry's regularly(without the fuss of ordering) are of an amazing quality. Although at my age I don't shave every day, I rarely change blades more often than once a month. And then it's only because I feel a need to keep them in business.
Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.

Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
