I agree, this site uses bots or have people up the bids for them! I was feeling frustrated with one auction so I just looked at the others, and guess what! The same few people were bidding on like 10 different auctions at the same time over and over again! They must have bought 1,000s of bids or they're bots. Also, I've noticed several auctions have the "bot" bid right after the other person bids. I've wasted money here and totally agree it's NOT WORTH IT!

I personally have had a good experience with haggle.com. I bought an ipod touch for a fraction of retail price. The product has not arrived as of yet so I can not comment on the quality of the product. (hopefully i won't have to eat my words when it does arrive) Being a single mom, Im always looking for a bargain. So far haggle.com has delivered.

I have won 3 laptops, 2 cameras, gps, video camera, ipod, Haggle sweatshirt and kindle reader. I am a grandmother who has spent too much time on this website. I have received all 3 laptops and the retail $629.99 camera. I paid 65.00 (including bids & s/h) for 1 computer and 75.00 (including bids & s/h). I got the ipod for. 88cents. I won the last 5 items in the past 2 days. Can't wait to get them. I have spent some money on this site but way ahead in winning cost vs retail cost. Very addictive! Looking forward to wearing my Haggle sweatshirt!

I did the math and my (Revenue from items won) - (Cost of bids/payment for items won) = $1,187 profit. All you need is a brain. This was over a 3 day span too so it's not like I wasted a $#*!load of time on the computer.

This website is a waste of time. You pay for bids and then bid 10 cents at a time. Twice I tried to bid at 1 second but the site glitched and it didn't take it so somebody else won. I have invested way too much time trying to get the deals it shows other people got.

First, I know for a fact Haggle.com isn't a scam. That does NOT make it a good idea to blow your money here. It's a Seattle area company and I know a few people who work there. I don't think they have to scam people, because people are signing up to hand money over to them even though they have to know they're not getting the great deal they think they are.

Seriously, they sell "bids" and then make it almost impossible to win anything. How much money in bids will you spend to "win" the chance to buy something at less than retail? I bet if the "winners" added the cost of their bids to the cost of their items, most would see they'd have come out ahead just buying whatever it is in the first place. And for the rest of the people who buy bids and never win? They're out that money.

Just buy the stuff retail. I can't see this site lasting for long, not when it costs so much just for the chance to sit at your computer for hours for the chance to buy something.

I find it hard to believe that people would let a 1499. 00 smarttouch hp computer go for just 46.70 after spending 5 hours waiting to do the bidding. Is that just a come on by the company to make you think there are good deals? And does haggle.com have people sitting at their company jacking up the bids so that dopes like us will by more bids? Ya know you can bid on auctions at ebay for nothing.

First of all I won the first item I bid on, that was 01/26/10 still waiting on item to be shipped. I noticed that some of the bidding is computer generated, I watched the lead bidder keep bidding on a item even though they were the high bidder at that time. I keep track of the number bids that he/she used 218 just to raise the price. If you watch the lead bidder, and you bid they out bid you again in less then 1 second that has to be computer generated.

I've read over several of the reviews of the Haggle.com website and have to say that I can see all sides of the feedback.

I personally won a 64gb IPod Touch for $22.60 and was absolutely skeptical until I recieved it as advertised 8 business days after winning the auction. The item was brand new and shipped directly from Best Buy with unopened packaging.

While I can certainly see why people are upset about not winning an auction and would think there are "inside bidders", there is no proof of this and it's part of the risk you take in any auction.

I will not be bidding on other items simply because I don't want to purchase more bids and really don't need anything else at this time. If in the future I am looking for competitive pricing on a laptop or other electronics, I would consider revisiting the site with the anticipation that I will have to spend money that may not reap a reward.

Not a sermon, just a thought!

Loss aversion (a bidders tendency to go to great lengths to avoid perceived losses) applied to an auction... clever. (read: Sway: The Irresistible Pull of Irrational Behavior
By Ori & Rom Brafman) specifically the chap. About the B-School professor who, staged a bidding war over a twenty-dollar bill... bidding got so aggressive, that a student, unwilling to cut their losses, eventually paid 208 dollars for it (guess the real owner was the kid who paid $207). And yes... the professor did collect, and donated the money to charity.

They must have shill bidders. Every time I put in a bid, the same bidder outbids me along with some more new bidders. Then when I do something else while other people bid up the auction, that same bidder wins for 93 to 99% off price. Give me a break! They are setting up shill bidders to buy back their auctions while getting suckers to buy bids and never get anything. DON'T DO IT!

I saw the advertisement on facebook. So, I clicked on it. I was amazed at how all the items won, the buyer saved 50 to 95% of its worth. So, I brought haggle bids. I was analyzing the bidding process. And I saw that most of the items, the bidders were being agressive claiming their item mine. Then I began to bid on a navigator. I was aggressive and put a stamp on it. After winning the item at $28.00, $7.00 in bids and $11.50 shipping fee, it was a good deal. It took up half of my day if not more. I got it within 7 days. The box wasnt shrink wrapped. But it appears new. I brought another set of bids, and tried getting the most sought after item, the Ipod Touch. I spent all of my bids $108 of it and spent most of my day trying to get it. At that moment, I felt disgusted and pissed. Ebay it way better. I might go back to haggle after the holidays. Good luck people.

I do not know what to think of this site yet.
I have spent a couple hundred dollars on bids and thus far have only won 50 bids, that I have bid on.
Over the past several days I have been watching and bidding.
What gets me is that I have seen the SAME few people win the EXACT same items- over the several days I have been watching--- to me that looks very fishy.
Also there are several bidders with "D" names all capitalized, that must have unlimited bid totals- because the most pricey items they seem to just outbid you.
You and this person go back and forth, letting the bid time get down to 1-2 seconds. Every once in a while someone else comes in and drops a bid. Then, as usual it gets down to a couple seconds, you go to bid and it does not go through and they end up winning the bid for 90-98% off the value----------COME ON!
I have a few bids left----unless I am able to win something great, this will be the last of my playing on that site...

I agree it is a waste of time & money. Some of the auctions are buying more bids to bid on bids! Did you get that? Seriously, these people you are bidding against are absolute idiots! For some reason they think that always staying on top and constantly bidding will win them the item they are bidding on. Um, no. It just jacks up the time more & more & leaves the rest of us sitting here for hours just waiting for dumb asses like this to figure out you don't need to do that to win. They are the ones who are really wasting more time & money then the rest of us. And I agree totally that the people who run the site are absolutly raking in the dough! Genius actually for whoever came up with it. I spent $100 on 150 bids. Once I piss all those away, I'm DONE!

I won a playstation and a camera on here. They came brand new within 10 days of the auction. I spent about $100 on bids, then won both items for a total of $120. So $220 for a PS3 and a camera. Definitely a good deal.

It's competitive, so you have to stick with it. If you don't, you might get lucky, or you might lose. The other reviewers sound like sore losers to me.

I watched site for 6 hours. There was an ipod touch 32 gig $ 300 retail with a penny a bid. It is still going on. The bid is now at 16.20. That means there have been 1620 bids at $. 70 a bid. That means haggle has made over $1000 already. Someone with a name of dirtyjerz has made over $ 400 worth of bids and may not win. This is like trying to knock over the metal milk bottles at coney island or make a basket at the carnival with the hoop being just a tiny bit large than the basketball.

This website is a scam, please be aware. I sitting in front of a computer watching a bid for PS3, I saw a user bid on this item more than 200 time, every single user will got outbid by him and the final price is > 150, how much he is spending on the PS3, do the math: 200*0.6+150 = $270 (at least) and spending more than 3 hours, who is going to do this.

Personally after observing for a while, I'm convinced that a few "bidders" are bogus bidders that are sitting at their computers "outbidding" other bidders to simply drive up the prices. I'm pretty sure it's a scam, but that's just my opinion.
