They took my money for tandem skydiving and all of a sudden problems to log into my Groupon account. Their message kept saying "Somebody spilled some coffee..."
No way to speak to them! I was planning to give the Tandem Skydiving for my wife for Xmas and Groupon dropped the ball. I wonder whether these guys are legitimate?

Seems like a big scam

I bought 2 Groupons for laser & tanning... went smooth.
Recently, I was on the Canadian site and I bought a subscription for a year of
Mens' Journal for my hair shop... and as soon as I paid... they sent me an email stating they don't ship to Canada and my money was non-refundable... what a load of Bull puckey!
A few emails back and forth... then finally I decided to call my credit card company... explaining their scam... and I got my money back... I may report them to the BBB and Consumer Protection Ontario.

Groupon complaint

Groupon Scam
This was send to an e mail I don't use at all so I never check it,
Until I seen on my RBC Statement than I checked a total of $129.75 and another for $29.00 US to Groupon for tickets I had already purchased through Vegas.com for the BeeGees. Concert, so how did Groupon process this without me knowing?
When I contacted them many times, all they said is they would give me a voucher for $36.00 in credit towards a new purchase through Groupon, but it would expire in 3 days, when they took $226.75 Canadian out of my account.
They also said maybe someone else did the purchase on my computer, Are you kidding me, no one used my computer, if you don't refund me I am pitting this all out on every Social Media how Groupon scammed me and tell people not to ever use Groupon. I will place an out once a month until I get my money back. Also where are the tickets you sold?
I have cut up the card I used years ago on a Groupon purchase and they are mailing out a new one. I WIIL NEVER BUY FROM GROUPON AGAIN and I advise everyone out there to stop buying from them.

I don't want to say my sad story... DON'T USE GROUPON!
I purchased a watch and wanted to stop the order the same day i ordered. They told me it's impossible to stop the order that has already been shipped. BULLSxxx it was in process. They told me don't worry, i can receive it and return it afterwards. I waited until i received it and returned it, and tried to contact them to response. I did not even get an email that they received the watch. I am calling my CC company to cancel this transaction.

My voucher in my Groupon account was removed without my permission, which I did not redeem. Repeated attempts to fix this problem with Groupon was not solved. They couldn't do anything on their end. Would not recommend purchasing through Groupon. Somehow your voucher can be redeemed and removed from account, no security on your account. Do not recommend.

I am never buying a groupon ever again. Worse experience ever.

Bought a groupon for a wine tour in BC which cost over $300.00. Called the company itself to ask if they needed anything from me and they were surprised as they no longer do groupons or even do wine tours from the town I booked for.

So I call groupon. They tell me that they will get back to me on a certain day with a resolution to my problem. Two days after said day, I still haven't heard anything. When I contact them again they tell me they asked for time. Which I then tell them yes and it's now been two extra days from the time you told me.

To then get an email saying sorry but we will not reimburse you because the ticket said it was nonrefundable. I spent over 300 dollars on this ticket. So I asked that a manager phone me which no one phoned.

So you tell me that there is a disconnect between groupon and said company, nothing I did wrong on my end but I'm punished and out of funds because the fine print said no refunds? I can understand this if I'm cancelling but that is not the case. The event I bought does not exist.

Called said company again to tell them I bought a groupon for them and they were amazing. Apologized for the bad experience I had, do to groupon. They told me they had talked to groupon and asked that I get refunded as they had no idea groupon was selling some of their tours... I told them that's funny cause groupon will not refund me at all. So the company will give me a wine tour. Though I now have to drive 60 km from the town I'll be vacationing at.

Ordered two separate Groupons to use at a Joes Pizza. Found out they are under new management and will not be accepting the already Purchased Groupon When asked online for a full re fund back to my credit card my email account was blocked and money not refunded. Horrible customer service.

Bury Groupon

When Groupon first started it was full of wonderful deals and enthusiasm was high. Years later most customers shops don't want to really deal with Groupon they just want to use the platform to Market their products and in lieu of utilizing Groupon deals they would rather deal directly with the customer. After a few years of not using Groupon I tried it again recently with four or five purchases and found three of my deals the businesses had closed within a month of purchasing the deal. Couldn't even get a refund on one of them and was told I'd have to use it as a credit. Suggest many other sources for Great Deals out there Groupon is a has-been that should be buried.

I have purchased items and even 2 trips from groupon understanding they promised to come good for items and services if one is not happy with the outcome. I ordered a tent in September 2017 and waited 7 months for delivery. I made 2 inquires where I was offered a refund or wait. I waited and today decided to act on the refund. Guess what? No refund and no goods and simply no compensation. I'm out $212.09! They have shut down communication with me and are holding firm that they owe me nothing. Do not do business with Groupon unless you are willing to take a loss if they can't deliver. Ridiculous!

No total price

You can not know the total price of your purchase till you confirm on your payment.
Mine started at $35.00, total after confirm was $55.00. Yes the Fine print says there taxes and other cost may apply. I have Never purchased any item without knowing the total price. Groupon.ca did give my money back. AWESOME. Without the full total price I'm not sure I can continue with this site. Sad, what I read and seen it does look almost prefect.

Caveat Emptor

BUYER BEWARE
1. If the vendor doesnt produce the service or goods your out of luck! Groupon has a no refund policy, pays a lot of lip service but leaves you high and dry! In other words your out of pocket, say good bye to your money!
2. Much of what is listed isnt a deal to begin with!

Save yourself a great deal of aggravation, not to mention your money and go anywhere but here!

Im out $465.00

I recently ordered an RS2200 Whole Body Fitness Machine sold by Rock Solid Wholesale through Groupon. It arrived at my door within a reasonable time and works very well. It is as good or better than the machines I have used at the "Y".

I am a groupon user from the USA. No problems there for me. But in Canada I had a problem. Bought a 250 dollar couples massage, and had two weeks to use it. The merchant in Kelowna had no appointments, and was closed for 4 days over labor day, and no appointments the next 3 days either. So contacted groupon for a trade in. NO DICE NO GOOD NO REFUND not even groupon bucks credit. This is a sleezy way to do business. The same package can be purchased in three other advertiser sites, and there is cancelation if no appointments. BEWARE groupon, they are hard asses on you.

Fraud-on

Ordered 1200 TC Egyptian cotton sheets. Instead we get a label that literally says:
"1200 Egyption "
No mention of cotton and the fabric is nothing like cotton. Cheap knockoff poly-crap. They literally feel like sleeping on cardboard.
Groupon is a fraud. Selling fake merchandise at near full price. They should be shut down

I bought 2 beauty groupon, I can't book because they don't answer the phone and they move too. So groupon don't give me my $$ back, keep sending emails and they reply with unhelpful answer, play game... so upset! Never ever use it again! Since they don't have costumer service on phone. They became very cheap.
It's only $34... shame on them.

I bought a mermaid blanket as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old daughter. When I received it just 2 weeks before Christmas it wasn't at all like the color advertised. I called customer service and they said they would follow up with the company and never did. I ended up buying another one at the store just in time to surprise my daughter on chistmas. I will never be ordering from Groupon.ca. Buyer Beware!

I ordered a dress from groupon.ca and I never received it. I contacted customer service and they told me that they had my order and my dress would ship and they would let me know of the tracking number. A month later nothing was shipped so I contacted customer service again and they didn't even bother responding. Stay away from Groupon.ca!
