“No complaints here”

Laurie B.

My husband and I (mostly I) have been using GroupGolfer for a couple of seasons and are quite happy with our purchases. Yes, we usually have to play after 11 am but feel it's a fair trade for the value received. The pandemic has made it challenging to make the expiration dates but, seriously, you can't reasonably blame GG or the courses for that. Satisfied and will continue to purchase GG vouchers.

“New marketing strategy is very miss-leading”

John S.
8/16/21

Not sure what has happened to group golfer as of lately, but their marketing strategy has become very misleading. They advertise massive savings (sometimes over 70%), however when you look rates up at course they advertise, tour lucky to find actual savings of over 15%. Mind you, you have to play during off peak hours. Another problem I have noticed is when they have golf equipment/gear as their "Deal of the Day". The current item of a gold caddie G2 hybrid is advertised on their pge for $138 (original price $320). The fact is, this item can be purchased just about anywhere for cheaper. How is this a deal? Dont know what happened to this company, but the new direction is why I haven't used them in a year.

Drove a ways to play golf with some friends only to find out that the voucher wouldn't work. We all pd full price to golf at the course due to the travel time put in after tried contacting customer service and months later still no resolution. Highly upset that the only suggestion that they gave was to make the trip and try again.

I paid $29.00 for 18 holes at Sugarmill Woods in Homosassa, Fl. The conditions of the fairways, greens, cart paths were terrible. The cart were in good condition, Very over priced. It was a huge waste of time and money.

Love this site! Although there is some restraints on early tee times, they actually are great deals on the courses. Most golf sites literally take off $5 then charge a convienant fee? So Groupgolfer I keep close for great deals and opportunity to travel some distance to play some golf!

You guys are screwing people over with not extending vouchers at a time like this,
Golf courses are unwilling to honor vouchers once they expire. That crap! I'll stop buying vouchers from you from here on out. You should be giving people a grace period on these vouchers at least for 4 to 6 months due to the pandemic. Unsafe to travel at this time, so now I've got 6 vouchers that have expired and the courses are not willing to honor them, this sucks! I'll for sure use golf now verses you from now on.
Bad business and greed from courses that won't extent time on vouchers

Over the past six months, a group of us have encountered an on-going customer service issue with this organization. Due to the Covid-19 issue, we bought, then sought to cancel around two dozen advance reservations or Groupons from this company. We would have accepted refunds, extensions, really any combination of accommadation.
To that end, we called in January. No return calls ever came. We emailed in February. We got a reply that they were "looking into the matter" and their email asked for our patience. We followed up with emails in March, April and now July. They have our money. They didn't pass it down to the courses. They are ringing their cash register in 22 states. They don't return calls or emails. Our next step will be to the attorney general's offices in a few states, because, you know, "we're all in this together." Gimmee a break.

Have been using this for 2. Years with 3 friends and it's a great way to save on fees, and we haven't had any problems and all the courses we visited have been super friendly and in good shape. Because of weather conditions on one course the driving range was closed( included with coupon) they gave a a free drink at the turn

I Placed an order for Golf Balls on Feb. 4th '18. My account was debited Feb 6th. It stated on the order form that my order would be shipped by Feb. 6th. It is now March 12th and still have not received it. I've tried to contact Customer Service via their Website email many times over the past two weeks with no reply. I have phoned there customer service number approximately thirty times, and get a recording, "Not Available". I will never order another product from this Company.

Ron, I hope all is well. We apologize for the misunderstanding but what we sold was a coupon code to redeem golf balls at www.golfballking.com. You received an email after the offer had ended that explained how to redeem at Golf Ball King. We asked Golf Ball King to reach out to you directly and it seems as though everything has been solved and your order has been processed. Thank you for your purchase and if you have any other comments or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us at GroupGolfer by phone (888) 889-8505 or by email support@groupgolfer.com

My foursome has been using GroupGolfer for many years now. I've had one bump in the road, not from GroupGolfer, but from a club that would not extend the expiration time during the pandemic. We lost our fees, but that's ok, since we will never play there again. It's been nothing but a great service for us. We live and play in Western New York. It gives us the opportunity to play courses that we would not have played due to travel time. We look forward to the new deals and plan our outings accordingly. We use the service exclusively for golf and not for equipment.
Thanks for the great service.

Group golfer sells these and then does not manage the course relationship and terms in the same way Golfnow and Golf18 do. They don't care if the course books tournaments every weekend making your use after 11:00 on weekends impossible. They will not refund regardless of course conditions, circumstances, etc. An advertised deal at $49 value for $23 is not a value if the greens have been aerated. I was a regular buyer, but no more.

Yes- There are some restrictions on the deals about when you can play, but for the most part, I haven't had a problem with tee times, etc. In a way, I like it better than GolfNow because the deals here are better. But the downside is you don't have as much choice about which course you can play and when.

I've used over 400 reduced priced rounds in the past 5 years. I've used them for an annual golf gathering of of 16 players 4 rounds of golf each aside from my own personal use. Never have I had a problem with Group Golf or the Course's I've chosen. Can say enough good things about it to date.

There was an EXTRA charge at Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells of $72.97 per room per night for "tax and resort fees". No deal at all.

We played Pelican Bay yesterday. The tees were very thin. The greens were small and full of bare spots. So much so that the pins were always in the center away from the bare spots. The flags had no rhyme no reason to the color, front, back, or middle. The edges of the traps were very ragged. Never saw any worse and have played many courses! Only saw one person working on the course and started at 9 AM. Usually on Mondays the course is full due of workers to weekend. Bridges and paths were falling apart. We could not even stay on the paved paths because they were SO bumpy and in a few places washed out. I had asked about hurricane damage when I booked and was told it was fine and all had been taken care of. Building is very well kept up, but the course itself was not kept up at all. Very few people were playing. NO WONDER! Will NOT GO BACK!

Group Golfer is like a daily deals site but for golf, which in my humble opinion is a pretty good idea. The deals are legit--mostly decent courses and decent discounts. There are some restrictions on the deals about when you can play, but for the most part, I haven't had a problem with tee times, etc. In a way, I like it better than GolfNow because the deals here are better. But the downside is you don't have as much choice about which course you can play and when.

My wife bought me a gift certificate in 2015, and every time I go to look at the "Deal" it is for some lame book, training device (A la Tin Cup-Movie reference), or some course in the middle of no where. I never get any any deals "emailed" to me, and every time I check in to see if there is an actual golf deal, they have my address set for the state of Michigan. I have checked my settings over 50 times with no exaggeration which has my proper address here in southern California, but yet Michigan comes up every time. If you are lucky to catch a "golf" Deal in your city-great, but good luck for southern california.
