Using totally unreliable shipping service my tv was traveling twice and returned will never use again
I bought a rather expensive Canon camera through Greentoe. Upon receiving it I immediately noticed hot/stuck pixels in the EVF. I emailed Greentoe about the issue at which time they copied the seller. Four or five days go by and I haven't received any return information from the seller. Apparently the seller was only replying to the Greentoe customer service email address. Greentoe forwarded the seller's reply to me which contained a return address and RA number. Greentoe's FAQs say "If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, missing parts, or otherwise compromised upon receipt, the retailer will send you an RA number and pre-paid label with instructions on how to return" Their FAQs also say "You will get a proper receipt from the retailer that has accepted your offer. This allows you to register the product and get the full manufacturer warranty!" I did not receive a receipt of any kind and it's been a challenge so far to get one (I still don't have one.) Due to the fact that they don't honor their policies and the customer service has been dubious at best, I don't plan on buying anything else through Greentoe.
Got a new oled through GreenToe. Got a price a couple hundred below anything else I could find. Received it 3 days later and they even helped register. Definitely using again.
I had a very positive experience using Greentoe! They offered me a great deal on a new Samsung Q80 65" TV. I will definitely recommend this service to my friends and family!
I heard about Greentoe through my brother who recently purchased a new LG OLED B9 65" TV using their service. He got a great deal and shared his experience with me. At first I was skeptical of the process, but decided to give it a try since he received his new TV without any issues.
I started by submitting a couple offers on TV's that I had my eye on and was contacted by a Greentoe rep via email. I went back and forth with them a few times while also trying to see if they would price match (or beat) another retailer on Ebay. They informed me of the risks associated with purchasing "grey market" TV's and clarified that all TV's sold via Greentoe will come from authorized retailers and include the full manufacturer warranty.
After a couple emails and counter offers, I accepted the offer. The next day, I received an email stating my TV had been shipped (complete with shipping details such as PO#, shipping company name, and tracking number). Delivery took about a week as the TV was shipped across the country via freight. The shipping company called me in advance to set up a delivery date and time, and they delivered the TV within the time window we agreed upon.
I later confirmed my TV was sold through an authorized Samsung retailer just as Greentoe promised! Everything went smoothly and I'm very happy with my TV purchase through Greentoe!
Bought a tcl 75R635 tv on greentoe now on 11/26/21. They sent me congratulations and the next day a shipping number, then nothing. Nothing was ever sent, eventually a got a refund but no explanation
I was browsing the internet for a Smart TV I already had a prince in mine when GREENTOE pop-up, it stated make an offer for the TV I wanted, counter offer was a little high, so i made a counter offer, that deal was was done and I made the purchase at a very good price, No Tax and free S&H that alone save me Hundreds of dollars. The TV was shipped and in three days FEDX was knocking on my door. TV was brand and with a Manufactures warranty! This is my first time with Greentoe and will be shopping with them in the future!
In need of a double wall oven, I did my research and found the model I wanted. While pricing this item I found Greentoe on the internet. The sales concept is a good one so I decided to make an offer for an Electrolux EI30EW48TS. I very clearly stated what Model and that it had to be new, this years model, not a second, or return. Also agreed upon price was to include tax and shipping.
This is the response from Greentoe:
Yes, it will be brand new and $2000 all-in including shipping. You got the deal. Congrats!
Thank you,

Even though "Jason" somehow managed to not see an earlier reply which was right above the email he sent, I decided his oversight was okay. Can happen to anyone but made me think they might be a little sloppy.
After asking for an invoice I received the following email:
Hi Leslie,
I'm very sorry about this but i mixed up the models and though you were referring to EI30EW45PS and that is the model i got approval for at 2k. I've set your offer back to active for the EI30EW45PS and we'll get you a proper counter-offer on it asap.
Sorry again for the confusion.
Thank You,
Jason

What the heck? I never referred to this model number! Sloppy indeed, or maybe scam? Go figure.
If your time is valuable don't waste it on these people. I'm very disappointed and will definitely not recommend them to anyone.
"I ordered a Canon 5D Mark IV camera and a Canon 24-70mm 2.4 lens. Very high dollar purchases. The discount was only slightly less than I would have received at a brick and mortar store or through B&H or Adorama (online camera shops).
The camera is bad out of box and I have had an extremely difficult time working with Greentoe trying to return for several months. I now have at ~$3500 camera that has not worked properly since I purchased it with no option to return and no help from Greentoe.
The lens $1700 arrived from Adorama as the seller. I attempted to contact Adorama with questions (adding damage coverage) and they were very rude and not helpful at all because they did not want to work with me through a 3rd party seller even though the purchase went through Adorama.
When making large purchases - please please please consider using a local shop if at all possible. I have had zero help from Greentoe and no recourse after spending thousands of dollars. HUGE and EXPENSIVE regrets
The product also took longer than the quoted time to arrive
I was out in the market for my first AV Receiver and wanted to buy a Denon X3400H. I read some good reviews about Greentoe and thought of giving them a try. I took my chances but here is what I experienced:
Respecting the request of Greentoe, I will not share the seller name, but yes, as soon as my offer was accepted, the seller name, phone and email details were made available.
I could find this seller name in the list of Denon dealer listing page on Denon website. The location was different but I think that should be fine as the seller seems to have a presence in multiple cities. The name and phone number matched.
Here is the timeline:
9/29 - I submitted a price offer (which was lesser than the price on Amazon and Crutchfield)
9/29 - within 10 minutes received a counteroffer from the seller
9/30 - I accepted the counteroffer
10/1 - the item was shipped! I received FedEx tracking number
10/5 - Received the device!
I just have a 3.0 speaker configuration at the moment, but so far looks all good and I am happy.
greentoe.com don't answer there phones or chat. They selectively email you depending on if they think they getting your money. They will not tell you where there located after many emails. The emails is only way they will communicate with you. I had 6 hdtvs I was bidding on an they canseled all my tvs after I emailed them an complained to them to not tell the dealers my price im willing to pay. This put up a red flag an I began to investigate them. I lost out on a good deal at buydig superbowl weekend because of it. After reading many reviews from this company. I think some guy out of his basement is calling companies for lower prices. If you have a problem you own your own. The legit companys you buy from will not cover your warranty because you bought through a third party which is greentoe. Greentoe will leave you high an dry if the retailers send you a bad tv etc. they will ignore your emails to them if you get bad product. You might receive your goods or you might not but you not going to get a warranty from a authorized dealer like greentoe says. If it sounds too good to be true then it proberly is. I tried to warm people on slickdeals.net but slickdeals.net blocked my email on there sight. They basically covered for greentoe getting over on people with not legit warranties from authorized dealers. Greentoe is a scam.
Saved hundreds of dollars on a 65" OLED. TV came shipped in great condition, would use this service time and time again. Thank you Greentoe!
Read the reviews, so gave it a try. Made an offer, got a great counter and accepted, as Greentoe is required to let you know, per the vendor, if the item is in stock and will ship right away or if there is any delay, they need to state this and you can either accept or decline. Once accepted, they charge you right away. This all went smoothly and then it was quite a few days or so till I even received any email from the actual vendor with my order and to create a sign in to follow it. I did all this and continued to follow up online to no avail. So after a full week of nothing, I emailed customer service, got no answer, then called and was given the complete runaround about the item order not being sent to warehouse for shipping yet and not explaining how on their actual website, the item shows in stock and if ordered that day, an expected delivery of Sept. 21-26th at the latest. SERIOUSLY!
So, after detailing all these facts to the customer service agent, she rudely kept cutting me off with again, the runaround, like a script, with no actual answer to my question or statements to back anything up. So I tell her about my situation in full and explain that if I cancel now, will I get my full refund. She says yes, but in 5-7 days. I'm not even sure to believe I will get anything back and scared to take that risk but also, my order is in the air and nothing be done. This is crazy. No communication, updates, nothing. I don't know what to do next.
Buyers beware, because this is not simple or smooth transaction process. I will never ever do this again and I will tell anyone to NOT do this! Extremely bad experience so far.
Everything worked great! Bought a Samsung tv at a great price and received it within days. Will look to purchase another tv.
Got the best price, by far, with zero haggling from an authorized dealer. Delivered for free. What's not to love. Highly recommend
The product is exactly as mentioned, competitive price, super fast delivery (arrived in 2 days from order date). Highly recommend.
Beware giving them your data. They will send you an email stating that they need your work email to verify who you are. This is a copy of the email that they send and have been using since at least 2019.
"The retail partner that accepted your offer sent us an alert. They are having trouble clearing your order through their order verification department. Unfortunately we don't know the steps involved here or the reasons they are having trouble. Many times the issue is a similar name creating a verification challenge. We have seen people try to spoof the identity of others.
Can you please provide us with some additional information about yourself that they can use to verify the order? Usually a work email address tends to clear this up very quickly. We have sent them things like this in the past and that has helped get people through the process very quickly.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Fraud is a big problem in our industry and retailers aren't willing to take chances with expensive items like this. I hope you understand. We will keep all information confidential and it is only used for anti-fraud verification purposes."
Breaking it down, the end retailer does not charge your credit card. Greentoe does. The retailer is given a PO# on behalf of yourself by Greentoe so why would the retailer have any issues verifying anything? They don't and it is Greentoe that has the issue as they even state in their FAQ that they do not give the retailer you credit card info. A company that wants to tie your regular email address to your work email address and sends an email saying "it isn't us, it is the retailer" when it is not, should raise a lot of red flags. This is a blatant data grab for when they do sell your information.
When you point out all the flaws in what they were trying to do, they will send you links saying everyone does it because of fraud. Yet, if you look at the links, they are for shipping to an address other than the verified credit card address or a recently changed address. I will point out again, Greentoe is the one that charges your credit card and can verify the credit card information.
For some people, they may not care about giving away their data. If you are at all concerned about that, then stay away from Greentoe.
Answer: Both of my products are registered with the manufacturer. No issues there. If something breaks, I will address it with the manufacturer
Answer: Promised lower cost of goods. Couldn't deliver though
Answer: They aren't responsive to your concern. They won't help you
