I have not used your company before and so I can only rate the booking process so far. I think your prices compared very favourably to others but I did feel like there was some info i would have liked to be able to access before confirming my booking and which I didn't seem to find. Most of the time when I book a rental car I take wheel and windscreen cover but with your package it was only available on the upgrade option which had a whole lot of other extras I didn't need. That was the only frustration. Other than that I was very happy and I am hoping that we get the car we booked and that the process goes smoothly from here because then you will have a loyal customer for life.

The first car I received seemed to have a faulty battery, so the car was exchanged for another. This exchange took place most efficiently. The second car was faultless, and I enjoyed driving it. Generally, the rental was a good experience. My only complaint concerned the deposit that was deducted from my credit card. I had to contact the office a number of times before the deposit was returned. I was also left uncertain of the basis for the various deductions from the returned balance that I received. If this included a surcharge on the gas that I used in the first car, I would consider this unfair, as I could of course not go and fill the tank, as the battery was not functioning.

The pickup location was confusing. The pickup location name was the same as the train station and no address was provided. It was a real challenge to find the location of the rental agency office. The overall cost was quite a bit higher than a similar rental in England.

Answer: I have used them many times, always cheapest, always very new cars, always charming and helpful staff ( Stansted Airport). Every firm will try to get you to upgrade. Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
