Worst haircut i've ever gotten and I have gotten a haircut from a one armed man! Walked in needing a haircut, walked out with hair of different lengths all over my head and a divot in the front. Had to pay another barber, forty dollars to fix what he could. The woman couldn't even make my side burns even. Either she was incompetent or doesn't care! I wouldn't let this woman groom my dog! The Barber that fixed my hair said, it's going to take weeks for it to grow out long enough to go back to my old hairstyle. Horrible experience. I won't waste another dollar at great clips, and I don't recommend you do either!
I visited a Great Clips location recently for a simple haircut, and I left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and extremely disappointed. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had — not just for a haircut, but in general. From the moment I walked in, the stylist had an unfriendly, irritated attitude for no reason. I came in as a walk-in, greeted her politely, and she immediately gave me attitude when I mentioned my last visit was "about a month ago." She looked it up and said, "It says a month and a half ago" in a condescending tone — like it was some kind of gotcha moment. I didn't think being off by two weeks was such a big deal. She then asked if I wanted my beard done, but I misheard her the first time due to her accent. When I asked for clarification, she snapped at me instead of simply repeating herself. Later, when I asked if she could cut the sides shorter, she responded sharply with, "I asked you in the beginning what you wanted and you said a 2!" I apologized and asked if that was a problem, and she coldly said "no," but her whole demeanor was passive-aggressive and unprofessional. The haircut itself was rushed and uneven. I honestly didn't even feel comfortable asking her to fix it — I just wanted to leave. There was no care put into it, and no basic customer courtesy either. I was polite the entire time, yet treated like I was an annoyance from start to finish. I would not recommend this Great Clips location based on this experience. If I could give a heads-up to someone like me just looking for a decent, respectful cut: go somewhere else. I genuinely regret spending my money here and am now looking for a better alternative.
Worst haircut ever and rudest people on earth, I'm not sure why they even deal with the public they're people HUMILIATERS.
I had a deeply disappointing and discriminatory experience at the Great Clips located at 4030 N Hwy 29, Newnan, GA *******. This location appears to have a double standard when it comes to the services they offer to Black women. While they offer perms for Caucasian women, they do not provide equivalent services for Black women. I visited this location seeking a roller set—a basic and common service. Although I brought my own rollers and the stylist was willing to complete the service, the manager told him he could not do my hair. The stylist expressed discomfort, saying he wouldn't ask me to leave since I was already there, but ultimately, the service was denied. When I asked the manager why services were being offered to one race and not another, she simply said, "That's just the policy." She identified herself as the manager and directed me to customer service. After calling, I was told the owner would contact me. When the owner reached out, I explained the situation. She told me they only offer perms and could not accommodate my needs. She also claimed she would discontinue perms for Caucasian customers entirely. However, when I returned a month later with my mother and son for haircuts, I witnessed a Caucasian customer receiving a perm—clearly contradicting her statement. This experience was frustrating, hurtful, and discriminatory. It's clear that Black customers are not treated equally at this location. I will never support this Great Clips again, and I hope they reflect seriously on their policies and practices.
My wife recently visited this Great Clips and had an extremely disappointing experience with one of their hairstylists, Meredith. Throughout her visit, Meredith repeatedly made derogatory comments about my wife and the way she smelled (note: she was freshly showered), who, it bears mentioning is an Indian woman.
Not only were these comments disrespectful and hurtful, but they were also racist micro-aggressions that have no place in a professional setting or in society at large. It is unacceptable for any business to tolerate or condone such behavior from their employees.
L urge Great Clips to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that all their staff are trained to respect and treat every customer with dignity and professionalism, regardless of their background. It is 2024 - DO BETTER.

Received haircut on 1/17/24 from Tracey at great clips at ocean isle beach. Tried her after several great clip stylists over a period of time. Once found I have stayed with her. I like that she listened and delivered cuts that i requested. Have referred her to friends and have been thanked many times for referring them to tracey. Tracey is very friendly and very much a professional stylist. Can't say enough about how great I think she is.

Why is it that every time I go to this@$$ place I get my haircut messed up how are you not out of business? Okay, so when I went to the function to stand on bidness I had this decent barber who said he gonna hook me up and then he looked at me like he tryna get a piece I thought I was in GTA the way he be tryna kiss me but it's alright told him I don't swing that way. After I told him that he just looked at me like this he tryna get down to bidness.
Have been going to Great Clips for a few years now and have to say the online check in is the best idea the Coiffeur has come up with. It truly saves me alot of time even though there is sometimes a short wait to be seated I can usually be in and out lickety split.
I made a website appointment and it said I had 45 min. I came at the exact time and the rude 1 stylist (only present) said I had to wait another 25min. I walked out. This was at the Cherry Hill, Westland, MI salon. I will never schedule online again, because obviously that doesn't work.
Joseph was my daughters hair stylist today. I am not happy with the way he kept saying my daughter is lying.he was very rude and will never go back to this location again.
I would give 0 stars if that was an option. I have been here several times with Lori cutting my hair... always an amazing job. I went in yesterday to have my hair cut for an upcoming special event. I was informed that Lori was off but was assured that she was an expert in the cut I wanted. After seeing quickly as she moved the mirror around... I needed to leave before I lost it! The back of my hair was very short uneven choppy but just on the left side, long strands all over! The cut was not even close to the picture I showed her.
I had to stop to get gas on my way home. While crying my eyes out pumping gas. I was approached by a lady who said " oh honey you must have grandkids who cut your hair while you were asleep"... uh no ma'am it was actually cut by a licensed professional!
This stylist needs to loose her job and seek more schooling! This was the WORST hair cut I have ever got in my almost 50 years of life. Now I have a haircut as short of a man after I had a very good stylist try her best to fix it when i went in with hair to my shoulders! THanks for making me feel so special an have to attend my special event looking like a man!
I have never in my life cried so much. Yes it will grow back but not for month and months and before my event.
She should have to pay for extensions to put my hair the actual length I ask for!
Always friendly and provide great service! Also provide what we ask for. We definitely return for the service.
I didn't like the wet part but everything else was good and great clips is much better than supercuts
You couldn't ask for a friendlier place to get a haircut with one of the best stylists, "Mona" Try it.
I made an online appointment at the green hills nashville location to get my hair cut on wednesday at approximate 2:07pm. My computer showed there was a 35 minute wait, so i arrived at the location approximately 2:45pm only to be told by the ONLY hair stylist still left in the building that SHE WAS CLOSING GREAT CLIPS in order to pick up her child at school, that the other hair stylists had already left to pick up their children at school, and that i would have to come back another time! The location showed that there were more than a dozen names waiting for appointments to have their hair cut, the wait time showed 90 minutes, yet all the customers were kicked out?
I told the stylist that i could not come back later. Her response was that her child is more important than great clips or my hair, and she "had to do what she had to do". I was told to leave in no uncertain terms, because she had to lock up.
Is this what great clips has degenerated into? Employees closing locations in the middle of the day despite full appointments? With zero thought or regard to their customers? No notice whatsoever... continuing to take appointments knowing customers are driving to the location to be met with closed/locked doors?
Even worse, i wrote to great clips corporate customer service about my experience on wednesday... they blew me off and said that the store franchise owner would take care of my complaint, but to reach out again in case i did not hear from him that day
I wrote to corporate customer service again on thursday saying no one reached out... they gave me the very same run around... contact us tomorrow if nothing has been done yatta yatta
I wrote them again on friday... still the same pass the buck... who cares? Attitude
The corporate fat cats at great clips have become fantastically wealthy and transformed great clips into a $2 billion company, but they could care less about the little guy who are contributed to their $$$multi-million dollar salaries
Penny at Cobblestone-Elkhart is the Best. Makes you look good & does it the way you want it done. You don't even look like you just got a haircut. Perfect
Stylist Quita was very personable and did a great job cutting and styling my hair and I will definitely be returning.
Used the online check-in - perfect! 0 Wait time, head to the Salon (message says) I live 5 minutes away. Drove straight there. One walk in right before me. I was then told they didn't know how long of a wait time to wait in my car and they would get me. 20 Minutes later, I went in to inquire why I was told 0 wait time and now waiting on several people before me. Very rudely told me that they got there before me. I cancelled my appointment and will not go back to this location. The whole idea of on-line check-in is not to wait.
What a rude place to do business with. Walked in with a coupon that had the incorrect address. Was told there was an hour wait. And that they close in one hour. Store was empty. Never go to this place. It was like I was bothering them. One star was the lowest I could give them.
Okay, I travel here and there on a regular basis.
Spending time in various locales requires having back-up services for hair -- especially in a pinch.
My stylist away from my homebase is Mariah at Greeat Clips. She understands my long hair and knows how to treat it carefully and gently. I see her maybe twice a year for a trim and deep conditioning/shampoo.
After my treatment she blows it dry.-- then twirls like a skein of silk.
This is such a treat, as well as affordable.
Great Clips also has its own line of "product."
Four stars for you, Mariah and Great Clips.
