Even though I pride myself in my writing skills, I have loved using Grammarly every day since installing it. It is like a boost of confidence when writing those important papers and the responses to requests for information. I think I've even learned a thing or two from Grammarly!
1. Quite often, I have to doubleclick to take over a correction of grammarly. 2. The green symbol too often appears where I want to write. Throw it away! We want the service, not your self-presentation. 3. Stay away from youtube! I hate your adverts!
Premium is hardly different from the normal Grammarly but is still very expensive. It charges your account without any sort of reminder because they know that if they did, you would cancel. So sad; I really wanted to like it.

Grammarly charged my credit card even though I have no account with them. To make matters worse, there is absolutely no way to contact them because I do not have an account with them, and they will not answer the phone. Never trust a company that offers no support or someone to answer questions.

This app is constantly wrong about everything and continues to glitch. When I add something to my dictionary or tell Grammarly that I do not need the suggestion that it gave me I refresh and the changes I made are ignored by Grammarly. Overall, this is a crappy app I do not recommend you will waste your time, money, and energy, and get very frustrated. Do not download.

They customer service, no phone number, to help you with their problem on their site they sell you another app. Horrible service. The premium option pops up and stop you from writing, although I bought premium plan from them, they still popped up. I am closing my account going to another writing aid

I used to Love Grammarly when I trialed the free version. I have the paid subscription the corrections are wrong. It puts together words from the beginning and ending of sentences to suggest corrections. I updated everything several times and it's still incorrect. I would love to know if anyone has a solution to this issue. I write lots of professional reports and would love to have them edited when they are completed. However at this time the app is useless in google. When I copy the report into grammarly itself I loose format and it's a lot more time consuming after writing 20 pages. Please if there is a fix let me know. If the repots were not confidential I would upload a sample. The license is through my work.

Sometimes when I would write something it would say to add a letter. Then soon I would add more of that letters because it told me to and I would have something like this. (Someeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) It would also make me add more spaces after a period. Like this, (The Way. Then,) It was not good and I would have to change it by myself. So that Is why I give it a 1 star.

Every single time you write a sentence it will be red and say you messed up before you are done. It always is showing red in the corner and gives me the wrong suggestions. Do not get it unless you want to get annoyed!

I'm literally so sad - I'm so pissed off but I'm more so sad and deflated because I've lost a whole day's work. Temporary files or recovered files are incomplete - I had 52 pages of good solid work and the recovered document is 34. Grammarly froze Ms Word and I couldn't even save my work. I waited 3 hours for Ms Word to come around, closing all other applications and nothing worked. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in grammarly, both on product and service. If didn't have to stay up tonight to try re-do my work, I'd be... grammarly... just leave earth. Thank you.

So I was writing my final essay on Docs for the semester, and the Grammarly system said, "No critical issues". I read it hoping that it had no grammar mistakes and errors and submitted it to my teacher. An hour later when I went to check up on the essay I wrote on Google Docs, it had several grammar errors. The worst part was that my essay was 20% graded on Grammar and Spelling. So it took to long to make sure EVERYTHING was correct and didn't have any mistakes and spelling errors. This who Grammarly thing takes too long in making sure the entire essay is correct. I did not get full points for my essay. This was all Grammarly's fault! I would leave zero stars if I could. I did not get full points because of this stupid system.

I have free grammarly but I wanted some extra help on my paper first class, it gave me three options one at $29 one at $59 and one at 11:95. The Lebanon all of them said monthly annually or yearly the 1195 was monthly and on the bottom it said yearly. Knowing that I only had so much money I pick the 1195 within two seconds I get a message saying you paid $149. That worked at my account and screw thing up. My cat had kittens but because my money was all tied up waiting for Grammarly to send it back to me three of the kittens died and I could not take him to the hospital I'm so upset with Grammarly I'm telling everybody do not pay for anything just use the free service that they give they will screw you over.
I subscribed for a monthly payment of 11,66$, but instead, they billed me with one payment 139,95$! And I don't understand why I can't get a refund. This company is such a scam like I only applied for this because I taught that I would be charged with only eleven dollars each month, I fricking can't afford that! Waiting for a refund.

Don't think you can get any help from Grammarly for free. I wasted 10 minutes signing up for the "free" app—only to find that its suggestions for improving my writing required a paid subscription. Scam!
It corrects me even when it's good and it always manages to make a problem when there isn't one, it's very problematic and very stressful it irritates me for no reason once so ever it's still trying to correct me when I'm rating it bad. I absoulutley hate grammarly.

Grammarly purports itself to be a "helpful" site that "improves" one's writing ability -- but in reality, it is a crutch that will only serve top weaken already-mediocre skills until the user is trapped into depending on Grammarly to keep the voice and style that the app has helped them develop -- a voice and style that the user will then be unable to recreate on their own.
The first large problem with Grammarly is that it encourages laziness and stupidity among its users: why ever bother to sharpen your own written skills when a pay program will do it for you?
Why, indeed: in addition to encouraging you to be a lazy writer who relies on an app to make your prose inspiring, Grammarly will also ensure that your unique voice is destroyed; lost, overwritten, and digitized and sanitized into the Grammarly Style of speaking.
Your individuality will be forfeit; Grammarly will neatly strip away your individual voice and replace it with their bog-standard sentence structuring and suggested re-wording. Gone is your creative voice. Gone is your individuality. In its place will be soulless prose with no true style or unique pattern to define yourself by. Your unique style will be sanitized into another mass-produced churn of buzzwords and corporate-speak.
Avoid. Using this service will atrophy your writing skills and hinder your talent. Any good writer knows better than to rely on such a pathetic crutch as this.
I'm a best-selling author who bought the Premium version to help me edit my new book. I understand the limitations of the number of characters but it doesn't matter. I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get Grammarly to work in Word on windows 11 and 10. It constantly failed. It would find over a thousand suggestions but i couldnt actually click accept. I uninstalled and re installed multiple times. I cleared my cache like the forums online suggest. Nothing was working. I finally started copy pasting single chapters into the browser version and that works but only barely.
After about 20 minutes all of the edits that i had skipped because i didn't like the suggestion popped right back as if i never addressed them.
The interface is clunky at best. I want a refund. Frankly its been so terrible i feel like I should be paid jsut for how garbage it is and all the time I've wasted trying to use it.
Never buy this product.

When I'm using canva, the grammarly pop up appears overtop of the textbox and every time I move it, it moves right back to where it was. When I get suggestions for grammar tips on google docs, it takes 5-10 seconds for the suggestion to pop up after it underlines my mistake. Very agitating.

They do a free "plagiarism" check on your work and report a bunch of instances of plagiarism. Then they say you have to upgrade to "Premium" if you want to see what it was. I paid the $25 and it was all false positives. These people are worse than spammers and pornographers.
This little company sucks so badly that the word sucks was made because of this stupid company. Die and Suffer grammarly... wait, that is too kind, suffer forever grammarly!
Grammarly is not good.
Grammarly is only strong in marketing and advertising and of course lying. They mislead the public to get their money, then they can not be found. I tried to verify Grammarly's claims. I was not able to log in to the account I had made for Grammarly on the same device using a different browser working within the same email ID I had registered for Grammarly.
If you travel or use VPN, bad news. Before you pay for it try to see if it is what they claim to be.
Try to see if you can write a review on them. Type " How can I rate my Grammarly?".
Try to get their email address.
Try to get their clients' support.Try to find an answer to your specific question.
Windows word and many free apps work much better for free.
Grammarly can't even arrange the minimum customer support for what they charge.
Grammarly is definitely not good for North America, UK, and Australia unless the user doesn't have any English education or has other issues which can be eliminated by android phones or free apps.I have talked to immigrants from many different countries at the college who say Grammarly is useless to them.
Grammarly's robots are among the weakest or probably the oldest and the cheapest in the market. I suspect they have got it for free.

The grammar logic of the application includes cliched misnomers of the kind only a non native speaker would place their trust in. Ending a sentence with a preposition is fine, or as Churchill once said when informed about the "rule", "That is a thing, up with which, I will not put". Tautology is a linguistic tool, not a fault. Sometimes we'll refer to a group of things as a plural, sometimes as a singular. For example, "The sheep were standing", or "the group was together". Another correction "The group were standing", while technically correct, and only dependent on what one is trying to say, and I'll feel like tearing somebody's hair out. Passive voice is fine, not a fault. Sentences need not be so simple that they become, very nearly, monosyllabic. If your English is very simple or you're trying to communicate in a language you don't speak very well this may be a useful application. If you write in English often then it is a handicap. When raised with support I was given the usual drivel fob off "The settings are incorrect". By settings they mean the presets used to try to anticipate the style of writing. I was left with the sense that the only thing they were any good at was taking your money.
I found it awesome at first but later, I was using it and here is what came up: without the radar, it won't work and this is what Grammarly suggested: without radar. It won't work. This thing sucks
They offered me a subscription for $49.95 last year. They don't send an email reminding the renewal and then, they raise the price in almost 200% this year. I attempted to cancel and their answer is that it was in contract. YOUR CONTRACT IS ONE-SIDED AND UNFAIR. I wish someone file a class action against this company.
