I have placed many orders with this website. I have not received over a sixth of the orders. I have received a few wrong items. Three items broke in transit. This website hides broken parts of things. I have sent numerous emails since 11-25-2022. There does not seem to be customer service.
I ordered 2,237.04 between 24 items. After the packages all came in. There were 4 items missing, it took me almost 3 weeks to find out my items had been cancelled and after all the hoops. There is no way to directly complain to the main e-commerce office. They don't reply to the in site portal... They commited fraud and didn't even care.
They take freely donated goods by hardworking Americans who want to help people, they auction it off online at near or sometimes retail prices and they use the money to pay WORKERS to WORK FOR THEM. If that's not definition of modern day slavery I don't know what is. Its also Fraud. This is not goodwill at all. It Self funding, for profit, not nonprofit. I would have been nonprofit if the money was used to feed and house people. Not to hire and train people to do a job, especially disabled people who should not be working at all.
I go to goodwill in lebanon, hermatage, donalson, mt juliet, nashville, and hendersonville tn. Quite often, the product is used, so your taking a chance, you can get some good deals, and some not so good deals, i feel it's better paying a little for an expensive use product, that last forever, then paying for a cheap new product that last a month, clean bathrooms, lots of parking, and the people working there are very nice
Awesome deals great selection, great accurate description of used items. Sometimes you get outbid. I have been shopping, bidding for years probably since 2008. No complaints.
They WONT let you use the dressing rooms now because they DONT want to hire anyone so your FORCED vto buy something you CANT try o! THEN you DONT get a refund of your MONEzy when you try to return it ONLY "store credit" which is bull crap. Their prices have gotten ridiculously high and their customer service is HORRIBLE. I d int vto buy clothes here anymore because I can't try them on
They are LOSING money not saving it. Covid is no longer an excuse to shut down dressing rooms!
Plenty of items are overpriced, you can get underwear at DDS brand new for same price same as bikinis or bathing suits. Jackets are same price as retail in Ross and other stores. Skirts n pants are again same price as brand new clothes in Burlington and others. Some bags are fairly priced but overall is not worth it.
Here is what I got today in my message from GW... I wanted them to take the back cover off the radio. It takes a quarter to insert it in the screw and turn it... that is it... and this is the answer I got when I asked them to do this.
"Thank you for your message. The battery case is closed with a screw. We do not dismantle items that have a secured cover.
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to message us again.
Batteries can be in this radio, and burst and corrode and destroy the radio, BUT THEY will not open the back up to see...
The GW workers seem nice enough, however nice doesn't get you a nice instrument.
I have purchased way more instruments (guitars and amps) than I should have.
Being a retired pro and knowing something about what I was buying,
I guess I was feeling lucky... wrong. I have tried to help GW by requesting more accurate descriptions about the instruments, even suggested what angles to take photos at so everyone may see the instrument in a better light (that fell on deaf ears). And I couldn't believe the idiots that bid so high on an instrument when the same instrument could be purchased on another website that has a much better description and better images for less money... is that the true meaning of lame or is it something else? Buyer be aware, even if you are feeling lucky.
I was in a Goodwill store today in Amarillo, TX (Bell Plaza location). There were at least 8 people standing in line, some with very full baskets. There was only one checker, an older lady, who looked like she was in a panic, but kept on going. I had at LEAST a 20 minute wait to check out. It was chaos because the employees were gabbing with each other (except the one checker). Finally another gal came out to help, but not in time to prevent long waits for customers. A few customers just left because they were exasperated with the wait. Then when I checked out, the cashier said $7.55. I put my debit card in, but then noticed it showed $8.00 on the card reader. I asked her if it was $7.55, why did it show $8.00. She voided the transaction (I hope) and ran it again for the correct amount. I'm sure what she did was round the amount up (WHICH SHE DID NOT ASK TO DO). If she had asked, I would say "no" because the prices have increased so much. On another note, the clothing sizes are not correct -- and I'm not talking just a few pieces. It is large groups of clothes put into the wrong category - small in XL and vice versa. It is so frustrating trying to find the size needed without looking throughout the whole store, which I refuse to do. My friend who shops here has made the same complaint.
Went to goodwill for jeans today and found out there were no changing rooms. I also couldn't just buy the jeans, try them on and return them because they changed their return policy to an exchange policy. I have a bag of clothes that I thankfully didn't bring here yet. I want them to go to use, not sit on a rack because no one can try them on to see how they fit. Not to mention how I'm not making any money from the clothes we as the public are giving goodwill to reuse and make money off of and you as a company can't even provide changing rooms for us… I'll be bringing my clothes and my money to a different thrift store from now on
I placed an order on 1-8, I never received a confirmation email, but my credit card was charged. I have sent many emails asking for the status of my order and never get a reply. I will be contacting my credit card and filing a fraud charge.
So tell me goodwill, for all the donations you receive, do you think it's great to price gouge the public and the people who need you. You make me sick! I will never donate to you again
Goodwill makes their money on donations! They don't pay for anything so I was under the impression that it was a thrift store for people that can't afford to go to expensive department stores. Well let me tell you that is not the case. Today I was looking for some cheap boots and the cheapest I could find was from 10.00 dollars to 50.00 dollars so needless to say I could afford any of them since I am on SSI. Well I hold I would try to find some sweaters that have this weeks color for 50percect off. Could not find one with the color of the week but while I was looking a worker was making their way down the isles taking all the shirts and sweaters with that color off the racks and putting in a buggy which was full of shirts and sweaters with the weekly color in there. I said no wonder I can never find anything in here with the weekly color! Her response was ( we have to do that but there are a few left). Behind her I looked and there was not one left! So I will not be donating anymore to this store and will not be shopping there either. The ones that own this store not the workers are the most greedy people I have ever seen.
The revenue in central Florida alone in 2022 was 64.7 million. Some "charity" huh?
I have been shopping in Goodwill in many states for over 40 years. I have always "rounded up. I am done with these people. I have never met anyone in my life that said Goodwill helped them in any way. Mt. Dora and Leesburg no longer have fitting rooms because of theft. Now the thieves will just go to the restrooms to steal. What's next? Goodwill going to close the restrooms next like the Salvation Army? AND>>> We can no longer test any of the electronics? Management claims all electronics have been tested. Several employees told me that is not true. There are just too many items. I asked an employee to test an item for me in the back and she said "We don't do that" I live too far away to take my item home and test it only to return it if it doesn't work. We don't get a refund, just store credit that must be used that day. I'm also sick of Dollar Tree items selling at G.W. For double the Dollar store price. Don't these people have any comment sense? G.W. Used to be a fun treasure hunt but has turned into a restrictive, overpriced and greedy company. PLEASE donate elsewhere. Advocates for children, church thrift stores, AmVets thrift stores, SPCA, Shelters for battered women and MANY others.
Inflated shipping and handling cost and now in top are charging sales taxes, without previous announcement to the fact. Half of the time don't tell u that the item is damage and worthless...
The prices on their sneakers are genuinely laughable. There's no way they actually sell these. Beat up white forces for 300. Busted off whites $1k. Non retro Js for $400 lmao
I ordered a exbox 1 online never gave me a invoice number never emailed me anything emailed them 4 times never a word back they stole 98 bucks this is good will finds.com
