If everything goes as planned GolfNow is 5 stars. If it rains bit the course is open you will get no refund. I have a ton of points but can't figure out how to use them. But overall I like GolfNow I personally have seen no problem with the company
No customer service. They charge your card if a tee time is already taken. Then you have to scramble to get connected with them
It looks like all of the reviews are sob stories of people that had to cancel their round or made a mistake and booked the wrong day. How is your stupidity Golfnow's fault? I have been using Golfnow for 4 years now and have never had any issues. I have never paid more than $3.49 per person in fees, so I'm not sure why people said it costs $9 per person. Even if you add the fees, the rates are so good that it is still way cheaper than the normal rate the course is charging. I have also received 2 dozen Taylormade Tour Preferred golf balls just for using the site. I have had to contact customer service twice because weather prevented the course from opening after I had already prepaid for the tee time. The customer service people were very polite and helpful and I received a refund quickly. Using Golfnow has allowed me to be able to afford more rounds of golf per year which is exactly what the service is intended to do.
The service at the GolfNow website has gotten worse & worse and now they have raised their booking fee to $3.49! That is rediculous. They have taken away their reward of waiving the booking fee after 10 bookings, their service sucks, and now they raise the booking fee. That amounts to almost an extra $15.00 to a foursome booking. I say we all stay away from this site.
Negative reviews are not warranted. Myself and my playing partners have been using golf now for 3 years now without any issue. They have even been nice enough to refund us for hot deal rounds, which is clearly against their policy. Website and app works just fine and I have NEVER had a course lose our reservation/double book. How so many people can complain about discounted golf is beyond me. Learn how to read, then learn how to point and click. Its that simple...
I've been seeing all of these negative reviews of golf now and have wondered what site these people have been using! The no refund policy is clearly stated.
I've been booking times with golfnow.com for the past two years and have had no problems with over 30 reservations. The rates have been charged to my credit card as posted and the courses have always received notification from golfnow.com about my reservation.
If you run into a problem with these people, do not expect them to resolve it. They are fine as long as there isn't a clerical problem, but if it happens, they are horrible. They don't deserve your business. Wait until you drive an hour to the course and find out your reservation isn't honored because of some computer glitch. They keep you on the phone and then tell you they can't do anything. They need to learn the customer is always right.
Tip for consumers:
Ok unless a problem comes up. Always confirm time with the course before driving. Do not expect the company to resolve an issue. They are the worst.
I find that although they do not have all courses listed for a given area, we have always managed to find what we need with what's given. Plus if you sign up for their hot deals emails then you may get a hot deal on the day of or next day of your scheduled tee time. That happened today. We had booked Dinosaur Trail, Drumheller, AB, and got an email today which dropped our price in half, instead of paying $48 we are paying roughly $23 with cart. Plus calling their site to cancel one booking and confirm the second was a breeze.
Tip for consumers:
Sign up for their hot deals emails.
I work from home. So schedule is pretty flexible.
Recently we scheduled a tee time. But unfortunately Mother Nature did not co-operate. The course closed due to the soaking rain. Golfnow refunded my money immediately as soon as they confirmed with the course.
I use their "Hot Deals" exclusively. Usually resulting in playing courses for under 20 bucks. Which normally charge 55-65!
I can not imagine ever paying full price again!
I am shocked at the bad reviews. I have been using this site for 5+ years and use it to book almost every tee time I reserve. I have NEVER had a single issue and book 20-30 rounds per year on this site.
I'm sure some of the issues are legit, but I am equally sure that many of the complaints are due to a lack of reading comprehension.
The negative comments are ridiculous. It appears that those reviewers don't know how to read the "POLICY" that is clearly outlined; the web-site actually makes you check a box to confirm that you actually read the policy! BEFORE you check out! Yes, for a 50% discount on a $100 green fee, etc... the green fees are non-refundable. Shocking? Not really. I have used GolfNow.com for about 5-years and book about 80% of my rounds through them (approx 100 rounds per year). Huge savings on most of the golf courses here in Arizona, and Palm Springs and Nevada. Anytime I had a problem (i. E. rained out, illness, emergency cancellations), the staff at GolfNow made it really easy to cancel or re-book for another day. These so called "reviewers" want to ignore the policies that are clearly outlined and complain about the site for a only getting a 34% discount on $8 indoor tee time vs. a 54% discount on a $8 tee time? Get real, I save thousands and thousands of dollars a year booking through GolfNow vs. paying full boat green fees through the facility web-site or booking through the pro-shop. My 5-year old can understand the web-site, the benefits, the discounts, and the policies better than some of these moron negative reviewers. GolfNow is awesome, it has forced the facilities to accept true supply/demand, and competitive pricing... all for our benefit! I say "Thank you" GolfNow.com
I dont understand peoples problem with the website? I, by nomeans have alot of money, therefore it wouldnt be possible to play the amount i play using golfnow. I have had very few problems, and when i did have a problem booking a tee time, the customer service called the course immediately and straightened everything out. For people not liking the site i guess is good for me. More cheap tee times available for me.
Awesome website with amazing deals.
1. If its raining the course will be cart path only.
2. If you have trouble booking a tee time, move on to another one.
3. The website cannot be blamed for course conditions or service.
I really mean it when I say do not pay attention to "Frank C" and his spiteful rants---I am not a "Kool Aid Drinker", but I know how to judge where people are coming from that use that phrase. We just got back from a Timeshare week in Orlando and booked 2 courses, each in wonderful shape. We were really impressed---for $24 and $25 dollars with a cart---Frank C--go play the Stonegate Course in Kissimee and tell me you can find a better price for any course near equal to that one. We even had to change our day and got very quick and efficient service when we called--as we have in 3 or 4 occasions in the past when we called them about something. We did have to book again somewhere within 2 week, which we gladly did and played Bonita Fairways Executive Course which we use a lot--and got a "hot deal" for $20 and a cart at 10 AM.
We live in a very nice gated golf community in Naples, Fl. I know a good golf deal from a bad one. Golfnow takes a small fee for providing an awesome service.
My guess is that Frank C has a financial interest in competing golf courses that do not use golfnow.com, and he is trying very hard to discredit them.
Anyone who doubts my sincerity or suspects that I have a special interest in golfnow can email me--I will do what I can to prove the genuineness of this review. How can one person have such a bad experience(s) while I have used the site several times with great success?
Just doing my part to give people the most information on this site--we like it.
GolfNow provides discounted tee times at local golf courses.
