- Ordered 1 item: delivery was to be for 14 feb. Did not arrive, and no notice of any kind. - 15 Feb: receive a notice it will be received on 16 Feb. Didn't need it by then so i asked to cancel. "Can't cancel an order under 3 days of shipping date"- so my money kept by GB and the vendor and I just need to accept this. -16 Feb: will not arrive until 7PM. I'm not in the delivery area anymore, and it won't be delivered until 7PM, so no one will be able to receive it. They offered a lot of apologies, and some misdirection (reminding me how to prepare the food I don't have when I get it/if I get it) but at then end of it, my money is gone, and they don't own the problem= FAIL. The hardest part is when customer service drowns you in apologies, and "so sorry for YOUR experience, here's a discount to suffer our uselessness again for a little less money than what you spent before". At the end they're trying to sell you on a spoonful of excuses you know they themselves couldn't swallow if they had to endure the same incompetence they spill on you. It's a sales portal, and like many other sales, they're not skilled in customer service or ownership. Some of these well named chefs should be careful of brand association
Everything went as planned. I worried about sending a chocolate fudge cake to Arizona in 110 degree weather but it arrived intact!(In fact it was still frozen)
Delivery arrived at dinner time which was perfect. The meal was delicious and very easy to prepare.
Cake was delivered on schedule. Thawed it in the refrigerator-was moist and super sweet! Birthday girl loved it!
From start to finish- everything was great! The carrot cake arrived on time, in perfect condition, and I'm told it was delicious!
Loved the freshness of the crab claws. They were a delicious treat for our 40th anniversary and we had a blast cracking them open.
Online ordering is great! It can be done with a simple click. But after every click comes the lingering question of whether an order will ACTUALLY arrive, and when. GoldBelly answered this by showing real-time visually geolocated tracking of my shipment, and there was never any question when my New York bagels would arrive to my San Francisco stomach. Thanks!
The delivery. Just a few days from UPS, some dry ice still left, items well packed and frozen. Complete 180 from the long time (6 days) FedEx took to deliver what would have been spoiled Italian beef. Goldbelly is back in my good graces but I heartily recommend using UPS or a shipping service that can deliver quickly.
The box arrived on time and without damage. The Rainbow Cookies tasted exactly like they should. Handcrafted with love. You can tell because the chocolate coating didn't taste like commercial garbage and the bars were inconsistently cut in size. They arrived packed with dry ice. I am so grateful they have this service for a person who hopes to keep all the older, smaller, culturally valuable institutions open for business.
Tip for consumers:
Be sure to be home! The dry ice does put a little bit of a moisture pressure on the bakery cardboard box.

The nostalgic and amazing taste of a pizzeria from my home town while I'm 10 states away. I was considering a flight just to have this pizza but found Goldbelly instead. Impossible to capture that feeling and taste otherwise

My order was delivered on time, and the food was still frozen. The taste and quality of the food exceeded my expectations. I won't hesitate to order from GoldBelly in the future. I've told many people about my experience and how much my family enjoyed it. Most were not aware you could get food from other regions of our country delivered to your home. A few have since placed orders of their own. GoldBelly is worth every penny!
We have enjoyed every order. We've even repeated a few! It's so nice to treat ourselves to something special and know we are supporting great bakeries, restaurants, etc. that might not be getting quite the same business during these challenging times. We like supporting small businesses and being able to order cool food from places we've previously lived, where we grew up, or things that just look great to try.

Prompt shipping, cheesesteaks were in excellent condition and when reheated using their instructions they came out perfectly! Tasted just as fresh as if we had flown to Philly--a great treat during sheltering-in-place in Colorado!
