Glassdoor is the worst ever company to leave a review.
They deleted my review about Northumbria university because it was only 1 star!.
Probably the ceo of the university is too ashamed of the mess and glassdoor immediately deleted it.
They are unfair and approve only the review approved by the companies they pay them.
Totally avoid and do not trust their faked positive reviews.
Moreover they do no have respect of our privacy because they collect our details if we want to write a review

This is a form of falsely accusing a company and perpetually maintaining that false accusation!
Glassdoor keeps up old ratings before newer updated ratings! That is unfair and a company that does this should somehow be closed up!
I understand if a company is so bad that almost everybody hates them having a low rating, but a company that had 1 person who didn't even work for the company 1 day give a review that negatively impacts the company, but then other employees stand up for the company and the rating is still the previous one - this should be illegal.

I'm going to contact a lawyer to see how we can proceed in getting damages from this terrible company Glassdoor... someone please break it!

I posted an review on Glassdoor re my previous company, who is an unscrupulous employer refused to compensate employees by law for 13 years, half of the team in our office (13 ppls) gone in 2020, company required existing employees to sign legal document to give up their legal rights. A week later I found out Glassdoor removed my review secretly without any explanation. It is terrible. What Glassdoor did is going to make more victims in future, people deserved to know the truth and have a choice before they step into a trap!

Don't trust Glassdoor they are not reliable do not use them as a reference! They picked side and chose to close their eyes and see no just.

I set up my account and still the amount of pop ups and the website constantly locking people to get their question in is unbearable. Such a difficult website to use and not intuitive at all. I quickly removed my account deleted everything because my goodness... the UX designer really needs to be fired for glassdoor.

If you are a jobseeker and sign up for glassdoor, they will literally email you spam daily nonstop until you forcefully delete your whole account. The unsubscribe button at the bottom of their emails does absolutely nothing. You have to delete your entire account just to get the junk emails to stop. Also it would seem this site does some scummy practices like allow businesses to pay to delete their bad reviews, as pointed out by other commenters. Just avoid glassdoor altogether. Its a whole heaping pile of junk.

Glassdoor claims to have employees and job seekers in mind but simply have provided a space for disgruntled employees (often those who have been fired for cause) to simply post without any substantiation. The same person can post over and over again to suit their own agenda. They don't allow companies to respond. Who knows how many posts are real or simply due to either an employee pushing a grudge or for that matter a company doing their own promotion. I have heard of one company paying their employees to write negative reviews of their competitors. There simply is no credibility with glassdoor.

Just full of time wasting spiteful ex employees that aren't good at their job so make them self feel better by lying about their former employers

They don't post your reviews unless they are positive, which makes the site a haven for scammers. I sent them a lot of evidence, in exchange they harassed me with dozens of emails for various departments, maybe you get fed up or get bored and give up. I see those who run the site as scammers as organizations that write their own positive reviews.
DO NOT rely on the advice of Glassdoor! Avoid this site.

Glassdoor does not vet people who claim to be employees and leave reviews. That is the biggest issue. After never checking for years, we were surprised to see strange reviews on Glassdoor about our company. Some were just written badly and didn't even reflect positions that were in the company. Being naive, we spoke to consultants who aimed to improve these reviews or remove bad reviews for a fee, and guess what - the reviews got worse. Then these consultants would email us about how bad our rating was, presumably to prompt us to hire them to improve our rating. Glassdoor has no transparency and no means of addressing these issues. It's a vicious circle and cycle. Avoid and ignore.

You can't do anything without signing up and reviewing. It is more annoying than Pinterest. I just want to look at one job, but no. I don't want to review.

Glassdoor cannot be trusted. The company removes critical reviews if the employer is an 'engaged' (paying) company. I have been an employee at my company and in good standing for 3 years now, I have only one Glassdoor account, and I wrote a very professional but honest review. I tried to shed light on the company's state of disarray without naming names or revealing competitive info. The review was accepted, but then I received an email 24 hours later stating it was removed due to a violation of guidelines, such as pretending to be someone I'm not, lying about my association with the company, etc. Of course I wrote a 5-star review for the company years ago (which I since removed since it no longer holds true), but my identity / legitimacy was never questioned then. I have challenged Glassdoor to provide documentation of my suspected offense, but no response other than more copy/paste of their guidelines. Such a shame that they are preventing the democratization of information availability for job seekers through their controlling tactics.

Glassdoor is basically a site for former employees to hammer their employer. In my case, have inaccurate "statistics" that are easily verifiable from several public sources. Then they try to monetize the removal or mediation of these comments. Not impressed.

This is a joke, right? It's not April? "Your trust is our top concern, so companies can't alter or remove reviews." -The Father of Lies, aka Satan. Apparently Glassdoor can arbitrarily.

Our company had one bitter staff who write several tones on Glassdoor. The reviews were completely exaggerated and stated impossible statistics, yet were published.
No recourse given to companies to address the inaccuracies - the so called company account offered was not workable despite multiple emails and exchanges.
Don't trust this horrible website.

Glassdoor doesn't follow their own guidelines. They allow employees who have been coached and the left the ability to write defamatory and direct comments about the management, business, and employees specifically, yet when other employees try to tell the story of how it really is (without any names or positions) those are pulled down! So, if you are a business owner, why would you want to give your money and/or post jobs on Glassdoor when they only attract the poorest of employees?

Glassdoor could be a good source of information for prospective job applicants, but I shouldn't be forced to leave a review or a salary to see the information. Anonymizing the reviews doesn't help - there are six people on my team and I'm the only person at my company with my job title, so it would be obvious that I'm the one leaving the review.

People will leave reviews and salaries of their own volition once it's safe to do so and if they really have something useful to say about the company. Conversely, if they are forced to leave a review, they review will likely not be thorough or helpful to anyone else. This type of gatekeeping was a bad move for Glassdoor.

Unfortunately we paid with debit card so our $103 weekly budget wasn't delivered due to system crash yesterday and guess what,?
Instead of delivering our paid in full purchase the following day they cancelled the order and made us reorder yet problem is our $103 is now gone for the next 7 days until it is reimbursed. So now we run out in the morning and cant place order since Grassdoor hasn't figured out how to use software that delivers the following day.

I honestly love Grassdoor most of the time yet there's no excuse for this cluster@#%!

Money doesn't grow on everyone's trees and Grassdoor has essentially withheld our money and refused to deliver product the following day.

Please upgrade to a more modern ecommerce software so our $103 never gets withheld for up to 7 days again

My god is this website complete and utter garbage. Listen to our reviews. It looks nice, sleek, and easy to use. Then it hits you with required reviews and salaries to continue using it. It tried it's damnedest to sign me up for every f***ing email you can possibly think of, any time you search something it will try to update your location and make location alerts. Pop up after popup. It's the worst.

Every job I found, I could find on the company websites. Use Indeed instead. I can't believe I tried to use this website for an entire afternoon.

What's the point. I'm a registered user and I can't move forward until I do a review? On what. So you want me to make something up? I'm looking for information but the site tells me I can't move on until I write something. It's stupid and pointless.

Our CEO was named in a review and was called "dishonest" by a toxic employee who was jealous and unprofessional (when she quit, she dramatically said she was going to sue the company, the CEO will "pay" and proceeded to cuss her colleagues out). Somehow, the employee forgot to take accountability for her terrible behavior during her time with the organization. Some of our employees tried to go online and counter this person's claims, but their reviews were erased or never posted. Truth is, Glassdoor makes money based on people's propensity for gossip, regardless of accuracy. The CEO who is no longer at the company lost a job opportunity due to the review, which is a terrible outcome, and not her fault. Where's the protection against emotionally troubled and vindictive former employees? Nope to Glassdoor, who is going downhill anyhow. Glassdoor's credibility as a company has diminished because they don't know how to solve this problem. Not all negative reviews are true and not all positive reviews are true. So what do you have? Nothing, they cancel each other out and you are left with a flaming dumpster job website.

I wrote 1 review last year for my previous job.

Fast-forward to a new year, I want to rate my current job and I Can't sign in via email. Why, I don't know. Itjust refreshes back to the sign-in page.
When I thought I was signed in, I get the "pop up" of you have to be signed in to read reviews.

So I try on Firefox next, and I'm able to sign in. I get to my current job and I get the "popup" of no new reviews in the last 12 months. Ummm... Does Glassdoor expect me or everyone to work multiple jobs in 12 months? Plus, I haven't been able to login for a while, therefore how can I review something If they don't want me to login. This site sucks.

Glassdoor is the worst site ever for job reviews or reviews in general. Stick with indeed or Sitejabber.

I am trying to locate jobs in a particular city, I enter the job type and the city, but once I click the search, it throws the city away and displays jobs in the category for ALL OF THE UNITED STATES, ie: unable to restrict to a city or state. I am not abot to search through 2,000 plus job/

To do anything (i.e. Read) you need to sign up and not only that you have to make annual reviews? They also spam your mail once you do.
