Completely unexpected
July 29, 2022

I was expecting to receive a good looking basket full of things I can gift (obviously the reason behind the purchase). I needed to go to the store to buy completely new items and a new basket in order not to be ashamed at the one that came from Gifttree.

Father's Day Gift

After finding out that my order was not received, and being very upset about it, I called the Gift Tree and spoke to James. James listened to my upset and was very understanding. He engaged me in pleasant conversation, which calmed me down. Because he understood why I was upset, he worked very hard to see to it that I got the gift that I wanted sent. He sent it out and it arrived when he said it would. It was after Father's Day, and I explained to my husband that his gift would be late, and he was okay with that. When it arrived, my husband loved it and enjoyed tasting the wide variety of goodies. He invited me to join him, and I was so pleased with everything. We are still enjoying.
I do want to say that I was so impressed with James and how he handled my complaint, that I have made a commitment to myself to use Gift Tree for gifts from now on.

Nothing like what I ordered

The gift basket looked nothing like what I ordered. Much smaller, and sweets were just packed in a box and not nicely arranged as showed on the website

You may see some of our competitors using glue spots and sticks to hold items upright in place during shipping, but in our experience, many recipients found this to be simply undesirable. Instead, we strive to minimize the carbon footprint with more efficient and effective packaging. While your gift will arrive in the same beautiful container or tote you see online, we take great care to package your gift in a way that will preserve the quality of all the contents as it makes its way from us to your recipient's door. Each gift basket is elegantly tied with a satin ribbon and given finishing touches to ensure that WOW upon opening. Your gift contents are layered in the basket once you open them all the way.

First time using GiftTree, my experience was this:
Looking on the internet for a housewarming gift for my brother and my SIL. Already had in my mind all the puppy things—new house comes with puppy (Amazon helped solve that part.)

Amazon couldn't help with something curated and thoughtful.

So stumbled upon GiftTree in my search.

Once they finally got it, they liked the gift basket and it arrived well packaged.

But it was SO MUCH coordination that I had to do on my end with UPS and GiftTree, and …. Sadly with the gift "receivers." (Spent time locating how to talk customer support at GiftTree, spent more time on hold with UPS, back to …GiftTree)

Anyone reading this gets that cycle I bet.

But, It ruined the surprise and the fun of it.

I bought *ONE GIFT* to try out your website and now I'm inundated with emails that I can't unsubscribe from.

It's gotten so bad I've started marking them as spam, and I will continue to do so.

The gift was fine, my dad liked it, cool. I'm never giving you one cent again because I've regretted buying anything from you every day when I check my email.

Disappointing Delivery
July 5, 2022

While I loved the gift basket I bought, and my dad loved it for Father's Day, the delivery experience was very disappointing. When I purchased the item, I paid to have it delivered the Saturday before Father's Day. After I already clicked purchase, I was told supply chain issues would mean it gets delivered the following Tuesday, with no difference in cost. Then on Tuesday, with no notification from the company, UPS changed the delivery date to Wednesday. After initially submitting this review, GiftTree gave me a call, and was very helpful in resolving the issue.

Strike two on the second attempt! Package was not packed on ice and did not do anything differently to assure package didn't melt. Customer service said she would overnight. The cheese was like soup, the olives were hot and all of the meat was hot. Looking to be refunded. My client was dissatisfied for the second time. Very disappointed. I am a real estate agent and use your service to gift my clients. This client has asked me/you not to attempt to deliver this again. Im pretty sure their grossed out.

Sympathy basket

The recipient did get a smile on her face when she received this basket. This is exactly what I was trying to achieve, as she was heartbroken from the loss of her mother. She was very impressed she said with the presentation and was looking forward to eating the fruit and the chocolates. So I am very satisfied!
