Avoid booking through this company at all costs, unless you want to be disappointed! I booked in advance tickets for the Colosseum tour for my dads birthday with my family, we flew to Rome specifically for this trip, only to be told a few hours before the tour that it had been cancelled, due to a "political event" which didn't happen or interrupt any of the tours going on, despite us seeing groups from the same company going straight into the venue in front of us.
Customer service were rubbish and unhelpful, and gave us no alternative or option for us to attempt to turn round this already awful disappointing day. All I received was an email to say the tour had been cancelled with no actual reason. Shocking, you put faith into these companies (and pay extra for the service) to guarantee bookings, and to be told it has been cancelled with no clear reason is completely unacceptable, and has ruined our family trip to Rome!
My wife and I were in Ravenna because our Venice-cruise ship was actually leaving from Ravenna. Ravenna seemed to be most famous for its mosaics, so we booked the UNESCO Monuments and Mosaics Tour. After a short walk from where the cruise ship's shuttle bus dropped us off, we met our tour guide Marco near a Tourist Office. Marco skillfully guided his group of about 20 people through the city, which has an interesting mix of ancient (one thousand or more years old) churches together with a relatively modern central business district. Indeed, the mosaics are amazing, still telling their stories hundreds of years later. At the end of the tour (after three hours), Marco gave us the choice of walking back to the shuttle bus or continuing to yet another monument. We were tired, so we opted for going back to the ship. Despite our weariness, we were more than satisfied with the incredible sights that we did see.
$326 down the drain...they ripped us off. We showed up on time for the Rhine Falls tour only to not be able to find the meeting point. We tried to call them 10 times and no answer. Tried to go the next day as the bus left without us and they said "sure, you will only have to pay an additional $260." What a rip-off. No signs to find them and we wandered for 45 minutes after driving 2 hours. They absolutely stole our money. NEVER use them!
I work in a museum in Quebec and there is a lot of false information about us on their site page. First, they charge more than the actual prices. They say that the cloakroom costs money, but it is free. They also refer to past exhibitions which are no longer presented, so people arrive at the museum disappointed. I tried to contact them via their website to inform them of these inconsistencies, but it seems that you need to have purchased a product and indicate the reference number of the purchase in order to write to them.
I scheduled a tour of The Last Supper and Duomo four months in advance and received a confirmation. Four days before the tour, I received an email saying that my tour had been canceled due to the provider. Customer service was rude when I called. Also, they do not allow you to write a review unless you actually get to attend it, and they reserve the right to delete any reviews that are only about their customer service or scheduling. This probably happens all the time, but is therefore not reflected in the reviews on their website.
We purchased the dinner river boat and were sat in the very end of the seating although I was not given a choice of seating when purchasing. The seats were so far back the musicians made fun of us when shouting out my boyfriend for his birthday. My recommendation is to purchase tickets directly from the boat to ensure good seating and service.

I have stage 4 Terminal Cancer and arrived at 2 minutes past the time of tour. I was told I missed the tour no refunds / would not offer an alternative time. Nothing and hung up on me. I am sending letters to the CEO - will let you know what happens- also disputing charge as I did not receive service.
As a supplier advertising our chocolate workshops on their application, I must say that it is really the worst company we ever had to deal with. Not only they take 30% of all our earnings but they manage their suppliers in a terrible way. They don't care about anything, they reply very badly to the suppliers. I can imagine easily how they treat the clients on the other side.
We bought a two-day Paris museums, plus boat ride on the Seine ticket. Our email directed us to download the app, which we did and followed the instructions to put the tickets on my phone. Two tickets arrived. Next day at the first museum we could not use them because there was no barcode. I messaged to get a refund, sent screen-shots, etc. Sorry, they replied the activity planners (of which there were none) and our reserved times (of which there were none) had already been paid and on top of that, we were really supposed to go by their office and pick up our tickets. What? You tell someone to download your app to access your tickets but, oops! I really meant go pick these same tickets at our office. They denied my refund. I will deal with them with my credit card company when I get home. Do not use GetYourGuide!

Had an excellent tour guide, full of facts and answers. Learned so much about the history of Charleston, as well as its architecture. GetYourGuide was quick to respond and answer my questions regarding billing. I highly recommend both the tour and the company.
Lots of tours with them have gone well however two tours have not gone well and there is no good resolution. In both cases the Tour Guide failed to deliver what was promised and seriously disrupted holidays. At best they refund the monies for the tour which wasn't delivered but are not interested in addressing any misrepresentation by the tour operator. Further their documentation on complaint resolution is clearly designed to make this difficult. Im still arguing over a case where a tour guide failed to deliver and GetYourGuide says 'its complicated' and wants to refund half my monies whilst ignoring that what the tour said they would do and what they did are totally different. Very disappointed in their customer service whom let you hope from agent to agent, none of whom seem to have read the issue so it is like starting again and again.
Getyourguide is not reliable at all. I experienced issues with them - I paid an activity, they did not make themselves responsible for errors included around the location on the website and then it was too late to cancel. I lost my money and the worst - when I published my public opinion (not good one of course), they deleted it! They only have 4 and 5 stars on feedbacks received because they delete the opinions when they do not like. Do NOT trust them anymore. This is a completely lack of transparency and honesty.
This company sells tickets without previously verifying if the activity is open, or even the opening times. Now I'm waiting for the refund and will see how it goes. It's unbelievable that a website sells tickets without even making sure the attraction is open in the first place. If I hadn't checked on the official website the day before, I would've wasted an entire hour going there just to realize it was closed.
Booked a ferry ticket for 11 people online during my trip to Thailand. The title says to and from the ferry pier but I didn't realize until I got to the pier that this island has two ferry ports and I came to the wrong one. Had to buy 11 new tickets on the spot. Tried reaching out to the customer while still at pier for a refund but no luck at all. Later requested a refund request online and heard nothing back. Finally emailed them a week later to follow up to find out that they rejected my request because I needed to contact them 24 hours in advance to receive (which I did but they didn't get acknowledge the request for whatever reason) a full refund. They said they couldn't do anything about it despite numerous email conversations back and forth. I've been very patient with them but I'm frustrated and exhausted myself. I've decided to never go with this company again. Please look elsewhere if you can!

I received several emails with the tickets within 12 hours of the Aero Car experience where one would have been quite enough, but the most frustrating thing was that the link to the tickets required a code which was never actually available. The message said it was "unavailable at this time. Try again later."
Fortunately, at the very bottom of each long email was the pdf of the tickets. Why put purchasers through this stupid exercise?

First time using GetYourGuide and I booked an activity in Kenya. After booking I attempted contacting the activity company provided by GetYourGuide and never heard back from the company via phone or email. I then contacted GetYourGuide to notify them the tour company is unresponsive and I would like my money back to book another experience. They told me "based on policy it's 24 hours before activity and they can't refund". Horrible and disgusting first and only experience with a company that scams and robs people of their money and an experience
I have used GetYourGuide on multiple continents. They find interesting activities run by local providers. The group generally consists of interesting and international travelers. I also get very clear directions on where to meet in an email the day before the tour. It's a great way to find the best activities all on one organized app/website and has been a go-to travel tool.
Update on previous review of Get Your Guide: After too many emails to count and asking over and over to have someone else review my case, still no refund. They claim due to "technical issues", it is impossible. No one at the company seems to care or acknowledge that I tried to do my due diligence by asking directly if the new booking was refundable. The refuse to acknowledge that their practice was very misleading, if not outright dishonest. So... I was hoping to edit my previous review with a happy ending, but customer service is not the strong suit of Get Your Guide. Book with Viator. The offer similar tours at similar prices and their customer service is first rate.

I booked my cruise some months earlier. 2 days before said date. It was changed to a later time. This incured an extra cost with my coach company and some of my friends had to change evening plans as we had to return later than originally planned. I also found out that the original booking time, a boat still went out. So why did it have to change. Booked, paid for and you change it. Very disappointed
