Once upon a time, we were providing tours for Getyourguide like %80 of local tour companies all over the world. They are charging half of the tour price as comission. You want to pay DOUBLE for the same tour? Then getyourguide should be best for you!

I cancelled one of my trips 2 days before (within their guidelines) with the provider then on their app. When I never got my refund I reached out and they said my cancellation did not go through. They would call the provider to verify. They then wrote back saying they can't reach their provider so they are denying my claim. Can't reach their provider? I reached them in one call! Never have I heard of anything like this! Avoid them at all costs!

Awesome Tour Guide Gary

Wow! What a great morning out on the water with Gary. He was super onto it and listened to the radio to check all the action on the water and then took us to it all. We booked the Albatross tour and also got to hang out with many other breeds of bird life up close, over 1000 dolphins, saw some seals and to top it all off a male and female orca that were super close to us. What more could you possibly want. Kaikoura certainly turned it all on for us. It was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Gary! :)

Horrible!

Bought tickets to the Georgia aquarium and our children ended up with 104 fevers and we weren't able to attend. I contacted them and they asked for proof that the kids were ill and they would issue an refund for our $160, so I sent that to them, and they still refuse to issue a refund. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy which is pathetic, you don't get to pick and choose when your kids come down with bilateral ear infections and possible pertussis. Shame on you for taking advantage of people.

When I ran into issues with one of their suppliers - Supertours, they said they have no right with respect to the safety standards of an activity as they don't set it. But at the same time, they have a say when it comes to determining whether a customer gets a refund or not for that activity. It is really confusing what they are as a company. As I see it, get your guide has no standards with respect to their suppliers. Get your guide will allow anyone to post a trip regardless of the safety standards and they just want to make money out of it. They also disabled the option of me leaving a review for their supplier - Supertours adn didn't bother to help when I had issues with the itinerary and the supplier. It shows the lack of ethics in the company and how they treat their customers when they run into problems.

Terrible company. Told us wrong pick up time for our Vegas tour, when I text asking where the driver was I was told we'd missed the pick up and I'd have to apply for a refund. This was on the last day of your trip. I pointed out we were early for our pick up time and was furious to be told no you can't go. After kicking up a fuss via what's app with someone who's first language was not English - I managed to get them to call the tour company and get them to pick us up. We were lucky and got on the tour. Get tour guides were not helpful, they even tried to give me the local tour company details to call them. After I said no and I wanted to raise a complaint they got in touch with the tour company.

Unreliable

We booked two tours. One was moved to a new time hours before and the other was canceled hours before. No call. Just an email hours before each. Then they tried to lie and say they tried to call us yet left no voicemail not did I see any missed calls. On the second tour that was canceled they blamed the Coliseum for a last minute changed because of a planned holiday event. Such BS. No offer of an alternative plan and a half hearted apology. Never using this company again..

Get Your Guide is a very easy website to book attractions and activities on when going out of town. I booked activities for Las Vegas this past week and it was a smooth process. They provided all the necessary information including pick up location, time, description of activity, and duration in length. One of the activities I booked was unable to complete the obligations of the tour, they called Get Your Guide and informed them of this. In turn, Get Your Guide sent me an email and stated I would receive a full refund as discussed with the tour company. The refund was in my bank account very promptly. I was pleased with the experience and would book other tours with them in the future.

Incredibly bad company. Had booked an activity months ago and they canceled it 24h prior. Did nothing to help find something else, blamed it on others even there is a lot of review stating they do this a lot. I don't recommend this company since they don't deserve your confidence. They just don't care.

We ended up having the same tour guide for two separate tours, one for the Vatican City and one for the Colloseum. Our tour guide was very informative and made it fun with games and things to look for for my 6 yr old son. The tour was well paced and also enjoyable for me, I would highly recommend this to anyone with kids!

The location given to start tour was just the name of the neighborhood with no street address. We sent 6 emails for answes no reply. Didn't answer phone. Had to cancel trip.

To my dismay, my extensive supporting review last evening was wiped out by the time clock on this site. Bottom line, briefly? The guide was excellent, a real person, fluent in English. The tour was excellent, taking us to Transylvania with good stops (three, plus the odd comfort stop) with history and context provided by the guide. On the way back to Bucharest, our bus had a mechanical problem. We were diverted to a train in Bresov, arranged by the guide and her management. Tickets prepaid. Guide took us to the right platform, on time, 15 min before departure. Once back in Bucharest, Uber rides (to our respective hotels) were arranged and pre-paid. Excellent treatment. By the way, do try the bean soup (in a bread bowl!) and local wine traditional in Romania:~)

A no show

Booked a tour to Auschwitz and the guide was a no show. They didn't contact us and when we tried to ring there was no reply. What a waste of money and time. Avoid them at all costs. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't give less.

Booked a lounge at Heathrow, mistakenly I booked the wrong one and requested that I move the booking to the same provider in a different terminal. I was informed that I needed to talk to the operator directly which I did. The operator then informed me that it was GetYourGuide that had to make the request via email. Multiple phone calls later with the same unhelpful customer service script read each time and I was getting nowhere. I then eventually receive a call from someone different (you have not way of talking to the same person each time) and they informed me that I could get a refund and make another booking for the lounge I wanted. Needless to say the refund never arrived and when I have tried to resolve this via the customer services team they have told me that outgoing calls are not recorded (how convenient). They are also unable to inform me of the complaints / escalation process, despite me asking 7 times!

We bought the 48 hour bus tour with cruise and the House of Illusions visit. Both were correctly described and good value. There was the possibility to cancel up to 24 hours before with a full refund which was helpful, although we did not need it.
The service was good, it was easy to book and we enjoyed both activities.

Booked a trip on get your guide. Canceled in less than 24 hours. They charged me $406 and only refunded me $300! I'm disputing it with my cc now. Stay as far away from these scheisters as possible! And I thought everyone in NY ripped you off, everyone there was great! It was the ppl overseas stealing your money. Use a different site

Waste of money!

We basically paid $55/each to wait around and meet up with a group, and hear a lot about how his group was a different number than expected and exactly why. We then had to wait in line while they purchased $15 tickets for kids (no discount on their fees though), and $25 tickets for adults for Maid of the Mist. He did not join us on the actual tour, and instead we sat around for twenty minutes waiting for everyone to join us, then walk around under trees telling about how he should have had a second guide, and a little bit about a guy who wanted to kill himself twice on Niagra Falls and succeeded the second time. I spent $330 for $115 worth of tickets, and $215 for absolutely nothing. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Go buy tickets yourself.

Booked an Ouse Cruise through GetYourGuide.
The process was fairly straightforward, but I was unable to book the tickets I wanted.
Both my wife and I are old enough to qualify for Senior ticket prices, but the website would not allow us to book two senior tickets. One traveller had to be classed as an Adult. We can, (sort of), realise why this may be so (don't want two people who need carers booking without the requisite support), but as we are both able-bodied (at the moment), felt it was a bit of a swizz (Google "swizz" it if it's too old-world for you).
However we both understand that it is for the protection of both staff and other customers so weren't overly bothered.
Excellent tour and we will be using GetYourGuide again.

Good customer protection

We had a very frustrating experience with an operator hired via the GetYourGuide site. But when I contacted Getyourguide, they handled it very professionally, fully refunding me and offering to compenate for any losses we incurred due to the operator. Overall I'm glad I used them and would do so again.

London Rock and Roll Tour

I used "GetYourGuide" recently to book a walking tour of London's Soho and Carnaby St. Areas, and I must say it was brilliant. The helpful updates as to when and where the tour would start, and the very accurate description of what would be included was immensely helpful. I will definitely be using them again.
