We recently used GYG for excursions & tours from a Mediterranean cruise ship. A lot of what they offered were the same, similar or better tours than those offered by the cruise line, but for a fraction of the price! We had used them on a prior cruise so I was more than comfortable using them for longer, further excursions from the ship. We never had an issue getting to our excursion or back to the ship in plenty of time. The amount we spent on 5 tours through GYG, would have only allowed us to do 2 tours through the ship! We will continue to use GYG whenever possible!
I would never recommend this company! We booked snorkeling event a month in advance and I received updates with my confirmation frequently through out the time from booking up till the day of the event and when we showed they said the boat was entirely full and that they were never contacted from getyourguide company. This is an untrustworthy site and I would never book through them.
Do not be tricked into buying your tickets through GetYourGuide. Book straight through the company (the "activity provider" - Chicago Crime Tours and Experiences LLC) instead. GetYourGuide has no power and cannot help you if you have any issues. They can only help with issues if they have the activity provider's permission, and the activity provider gives a false number on its website.
My husband booked a cooking tour for me on my birthday. Get your guide sent an automated email for confirmations of our trip. On the day we waited for over 30 mins for our pick up - no show! We contacted customer serve, automated message and no one we could contact nor speak to in that instance. We tried multiple ways to contact the company but no reply. EXCEPT until now on social media publicly reviewing them - then we had a reply!
We contacted the tour operator directly who told us that get your guide had no contacted them regarding our booking at all. They had NO KNOWLEDGE they were expected us. The tour operator also informed us that get your guide had also given out incorrect information as they did not pick up guests from Da Nang.
I do not recommend this website/app. Be prepared to be disappointed

I made a booking for 2 tickets for a tour 2 months away and when i received the confirmation right after it only said one ticket. I immediately cancelled and notified them of the mistake and they would only refund half of my money...$110 out of $220. I tried contacting them several times about this and no resolution. BEWARE!

Our driver for the meant tour arrived about half an hour later than written in the description. Wish could get an information about late arrival than having to talk on the phone afterwards. And by the way maybe more information in advance about the events concerning the event, for example about the sunken boat as one of the travel program
We booked for the auschwitz trip.
Our driver was Paul he was brilliant very informative, told us the where to go and the main things to see in both camps.
The price we paid was definitely value for money next time we will book with tour guide.
Paul told us about the area and history of krakow and the camp. And pointed things out to us on our way to auschwitz.

DO NOT ignore the reviews & book through this company! I paid $120 for a guided tour of the Louvre in Paris & got there at the 2pm meeting time on the reservation. I saw the group, however turned for a moment & they had disappeared. (Note: I was unable to get there 15 minutes earlier, as my taxi was delayed (this was out of my control). I made numerous attempts to contact the company in advance, however their phone was disconnected & nobody could get back to me, let alone email me my real ticket (the ticket through the app is invalid). When the company finally got back to me, they said they wouldn't issue me a refund. This is really unprofessional, considering there is such a competitive market for tour companies. I then had to purchase a new ticket at the Louvre after staff at the admissions desk were extremely rude & unhelpful.
I purchased tickets online thought it is same cost or better deal but turn out I overpaid as the tickets they given us at the park clearly printed $18.50/ person meanwhile I was charged over $25 per person online. I was overcharged by $36 in the end!

I booked a Rome Tiber River cruise. We were told to show up 15 minutes early. We showed up an hour early. Tried to get into 3 different boats and were told no, we weren't allowed on. I emailed them and try girls from the nearby restaurant called for us. They said that they would ask around. I emailed and no response. It was an evening aperitif cruise with snacks. No response to my email and I'm out $300
Bought a hop on / off royal excursion package, 3 bus tours to choose from over 2 days. Visit to royal yacht, holyrood palace and the castle included in royal attractions package. Fantastic value especially being able to go virtually anywhere in the city on the 3 bus package. Attractions were fantastic and would highly recommend this package to see all of Edinburgh, also really enjoyed the history of the city and the facts you learn on the bus. 10 out of 10
I had not heard of GetYourGuide before booking our tour in Barcelona. After having a really great experience with Miguel on the Gaudi/Modernism tour, I looked at other options offered by GYG. They have a good mobile phone app but not one designed for an iPad which makes using it clunky if your a tablet user. Nice to have another resource out there
Really interesting and informative tour, we touched the surface of every major historical period or event to happen in the area and the associated building or place it happened. Then also talked about the current social and political climate in Barcelona.
We booked 2 tours and 1 48 hour waterbus ticket through GetYourGuide. It was easy, affordable and fun! Only one of the tours was not worth it, but you need to check the reviews before booking. I have booked tours for Sicily earlier in the year however, due to Covid, the trip was cancelled. I was refunded in full for all trips booked easily. I will definitely use this site again :)
We were told to purchase advanced tickets to the Palacio Da Bolsa in Porto so we used GetYourGuide.com
The ticket price was competitive for the guided tour BUT GetYourGuide.com charged us $17.05 to download the app so we could retrieve the tickets. Unavoidable! You can't retrieve the tickets without the app! They are not sent by SMS or email, only the receipt is sent. I'm sure the deception is similar with other museums and palaces. Buyer beware!

Don't trust their refund policy. I wouldn't even use this site you can all these trips elsewhere and usually cheaper. They're refund policy is not as easy as they say and you'll likely get denied even for medical reasons.

Great booking site. I strongly recommend you make it more obvious on the ticket who and what you are looking for when checking in with the tour company. It was so buried in the booking details we nearly missed our tour.
We used get your guide multipul times for our trip in Krakow. I downloaded the app so I had all my bookings in one place with ref codes etc. It ment we had departure times and places at the tap of a button. When we were unable to locate our tour guide we had access to phone numbers via app. 100% will recommend to others
I bought 4 tickets for the musical show "Cuban Under Stars" and whe we arrived there was not show at all. After we walked around and ask we will able to confirm that the show had endend a few weeks ago.
8 of us from India drove down from madrid just to see the Alhambra in Granada.We booked tickets through GYG paying 4 times the price. They cancelled last minute leaving us with no tickets as they were sold out. Horrible customer service. We travelled from India after making the bookings in advance
