Flex seal is a great product but way over price and hard to get in any kind of volume such as home depot etc. Went to my local store to purchase this product for a roof job and the biggest paste product that they had was a pint and way over priced. Overall it great product but price and availability sucks
Purchased Flexseal CLEAR and sprayed the upper part of my front entrance door. The CLEAR came out white ruined the front of my door, neighbors thought someone graffitied my home. Called Customer Service and for months gave me the run around to prove the damage. They act concerned but they they made it difficult to get reimbursed for the damage. Till today they will not reimburse me and I sent a Linkedin message to the owner, no response. Classic avoidance, spread the word stay away
4 projects: 1. Leak in a garden hose= Fail. 2. Water trough leak= Pass 3. Swimming pool outer seam=Fail. 4.50 gallon drum lid crack=Pass
I wouldnt use it on anything that "will have" pressure coming towards it or that remains in the sun... unless ya dont mind gett'n yur hair pulled out! :)
The TV ad is very misleading. As soon as you open a tub it begins to skin & harden in around 15 minutes' The tub is useless because it goes hard before you can finish the job. It skins over as you are trying to scrape it out. There is no way it can go into containers exposed to the air the way it's shown on TV. Absolute ripoff & will never spend $35 on another tub when I can get silicone that costs $10 & lasts while it is being spread & until the tube is empty.
I tried several Flex Seal products to seal a water leak on my water hose. All the products failed. I would never believe what they advertise on television.
I got the spray on flex seal to stop a leak in a man hole. Worked on it all summer so it would be dry. I put about 6 or 7 layers and the first rain fall, it leaked. So don't waste your money. Can you say " garbage"
Thank you. Francis
I think I covered it in my title. I totally wasted my money buying flex seal. It didn't seal anything I tried using it on and I feel cheated. I think 2 3rd graders came up with this product. Then they got the greatest marketing team to go on and swindle everyone that buys this CRAP!
Just glance at all the bad reviews. That should tell you to not even consider this stuff. I wish I had never heard of it. Anything I can say has already been said by all the other reviewers, so let me close by saying...
DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!
IF YOU USE IT, YOU'LL BE SORRY
P.S. The "positive" reviews are mostly shills writing fakes to offset all the bad reviews.
Used on the seam of my gutters to stop leaking and well no bueno. I wasn't sure if product would work so I only did one area. So I tried another area and even after cleaning second area really well again, still no good. I used the white spray which discolored to yellow after 6 months. This company just scams people out of their hard earned money. Do not use any of their products
Small drips from the end of the corrugated roof line that i underlapped another short sheet on my pergola to make the roof length.
Sprayed and pasted Flex Seal over the underlap joint with the paste to seal and then 2 full cans of Flex Seal spray over total area to cover any open spot.
Dried till nxt rain.
Not even a heavy rain and now the leak(s) have expanded across the entire patio roof line.
How after sealing the leak, the water went against gravity and went under the corrugated roof.
The entire area 8" x 72" was covered by FLEX SEAL and now it leaks even more.
WTF! GO FIGURE... but ill never trust this product anymore and my customers too.
Bought the flexseal and the flexseal tape. Utter and complete garbage, so frustrated at myself for falling for this scam. Now I know why I see these commercials at 3:00 am. Sure, it can hold a speedboat together doing 50 knots, but it can't keep my garden hose from leaking. This company should be ashamed of itself.
This utter crap doesn't seal anything, not even the smallest hole.
These commercials are SCAM and that a hole in them should be soued and thrown in jail.
I bought the tape to fix a leak and it didn't work. Thought I would try the spray it too was terrible. Huge waste of money! Don't fix leaks.
Ive used it on everything from my roof, gutters, concrete statues, paintings, including paintings on glass tables! But if it comes in contact with sidewalk salt, i use the pet safe stuff, it strips it right off! But i sprayed our entire purgla prior to assembly and 4 yrs still going strong
I bought the 5' roll of clear flex seal tape and was going to fix a small spot on the bottom of my boat and I even cleaned the area really good let it dry overnight applied the tape it looked to be stuck good and seal off put the boat in the water the next day and the tape peeled loose in several places and was leaking glad I caught it when I did would have sunk my boat
In other words I would not waste my money on this product it is misleading that it will fix boats
All I needed it to do is seal a small crack in the shower... Simply shake and spray, a no-brainer right? Wrong. Within 30 minutes it cracked and peeled away from the wall. I prepped and cleaned the area again, same thing happened. Total aggravation and a waste of time and money!
Bought the flex seal spray and tape to try and repair some pinhole leaks in some eavestroughs. No good
I tried to fix my garden hose a small leak with flex tape it didn't work worth a darn I try to fix the backflush hose on my filter for swimming pool backflush hose it's a 2 inch hose it didn't work at all I sprayed some chipping plaster from the bottom of a dry pool but several Coats two weeks later after the pool was full it was leaking again Don't buy anything you see on TV
I purchased Flex Seal paste to seal up some leaks in our basement. It works pretty well on holes that are dry at the time you seal them, but does not seal a hole with water running through it like they tell you on tv. It just dissolves into the water. Also you need to use it all as soon as you open it or it will harden and you cant use it.
I needed to stop water from seeping through the mortar at the bottom of a brick wall. It has just gotten wet but the rain had stopped. I tried to spread it in the seam between the brick and concrete floor. It immediately pulled away and followed my putty knife wadding into a pile of goo. I could not get it to stay on the horizontal or vertical surface and it would not stick in the joint.
Junk junk junk!
Answer: I would highly recommend NOT using anywhere around moisture. I experienced mildew growing on product.
