I went to Lowe's for a 3 pound container of Flex Seal! Upon opening, I got one pound of Flex Seal! The other 2 pounds was cured rubber! Lowes refunded me the $34.98! I received a store credit and got another 3 pound container! Went home and I got 2 pounds of the product! Screw it! The Flex Seal spray cans are better for small jobs!
Could not seal my 8" pvc irrigation pipe this morning. Tried 3 times, scuffed up the pipe as well and it does not stick under water OR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE'S as shown in the commercials. The pipe is not fixed and is still leaking. Good thing it was purchased at Walmart as they do take everything back and I will be returning this bogus product today. My duck tape works just fine under an emergency. Do not waste your money.
I was desperate my air mattress ive oened 5 years had a hole patches and other cures couldnt fix! I purchased flex paste well for 16.00 i figured it was worth a shot. I opened the container after reading the label it said to scrape an even layer off the top of the container i took my puddy knife to try and scrape it and the whole top layer was rock hard! I ended up heating the container and popping the product out of the container only to find mabe 1 or 2 tablespoons of usable product left in the container! Hardly enough to patch much of anything! I wrote flex seal to tell them and they said it was normal for there to be a cured ring on top! It said noplace on the label to expect any cured product let alone about 90% of the container! What i pulled out was a rock hard piece of rubber puck and about 1-2 tablespoons of usable product. Im waiting to hear back but they claim it is normal to have the product be completely junk and unusable when you buy it and from what they wrote they are basically admitting to selling it knowing full well its not usable! I also have proof of purchase but did not include the receipt but do have it
Flexseal spray was on my basement stairs in a cool dry spot and it released flex seal doing damage to my house. My thought initially was the tin split on the bottom but I now realize the product came out the nozzle. I have contacted flex seal about them paying for repairs in my house. No response from them very disappointed! I have pictures of the damage done to my house and I sent those to flex seal. If this product released into someone's eyes can you imagine what would happen. This product should be recalled until proven the tin and product are safe! I'm not the only person this has happened to I found another on the BBB website.
The first 3 inches of tape was very good, then after that, the rest of the roll OBVIOUSLY BAD. Masking tape is better. I used it on the exact same type of area on 2 items (cap area on a paintball bunker). The first one was great. I could barely get my fingers off the the tape. THen, 3 inches into the roll, only about 20% of stickiness that the first 3 inches had. FlexSeal cheats on manufacturing. Gives you the real product for your first little strip then cheats on the rest. HORRIBLE.
IT IS PURE GARBAGE SOLD BY MAJOR RETAILERS BY A SNAKE OIL SALESMAN. DO WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEIR AD IS AS DECEPTIVE AS A HAVE EVER SEEN.
These guys are scammers! None of there products work like the goof on tv claims. Tried a few and same results NOTHING! Waste of money, false advertising, the BBB should shut these guys down period
This is for all the people that have horses I had three but I have two now one's died and I don't know why but I know that the Flex Seal was floating around in her water trough and I dumped it right away which I should have took a picture of cuz it freaked me out that she would suck it down or one of the other horses would and it peeled off like crazy and I've used the clear and the other one and it did not stop the leaks on the water troughs it's I have bag full it's all over the yard do not use this for your animals if they suck it up it going to kill them no I don't have proof of purchase I threw the cans away I don't keep receipts forever everywhere you go they say use Flex Seal well I have now I have a dead horse and I can't say why because I don't know for sure but it's a possibility and it's still all over my yard I have a whole bag of that stuff once it gets wet for a couple weeks it starts where it's leaking it starts peeling off
I had a flat roof sunroom addition added to my home over a decade ago. Everything was great for several years, then the roof started leaking. I had three different roofing contractors over a period of 5 years come to solve the leaking. I spent thousands of dollars with the different contractors. I always thought the problem was the fact that the flat roof was installed under the main roof and it was not done correctly. I had seen the advertisements for the flex seal spray. I watched the product line grow and continue to use buckets to catch the leaking. I live in central Florida. The leaking would always start after heavy rains. After my frustration reached its peak I finally went up on the roof to see if what I thought was true. Prior to going on the roof I had decided I would try the flex seal products. My inspection revealed tiny slits in the roofing seals. I also own a 2013 forty-five foot RV and was familiar with flat roof problems. After seeing for myself the issue I went out to purchase flex seal products. I purchase the tape, spray and roll sealant spending around $90 total. I cleaned the roof so I could see the small slits. I applied the spray and noticed that is would seep into the slits and then reopen. I continued to use the spray until the seeping stopped. I then applied the tape like a patch making sure all air bubbles were removed. Finally I applied the roll-on flex seal making sure the edges around the patch were covered. The roof covering was white so I use the white roll-on to finish the job. I took my time making the final application look professional. No more leaking since my DIY repair. I will use a $100 solution over a multiple thousand dollar repair anytime. The products worked for me when correctly applied.
I used it on air filled inflatables with a small leak, does not seal hole and months later still wet to the touch and come off in hands and anything it touches. Terrible product, stay away!
How can any company or person sell bull crap and get away with it. For instance that bullcrap supposed to plug holes in boats yeah right u will drown. I'm so sick of all these fake bull crap. I really hate ppl taking advantage of other ppl for the sake of money. Wow get a real freaking job. Also they know that ppl gonna buy it at least once and just millions of ppl buying it to see if it's legit these greedy as ppl or company already made millions because we trusted what they say. These ppl need to be locked up and throw the freaking key away! So freaking unreal how they can get away with this.
I had a small leak in camper roof. I used liquid Flex Seal and covered entire area 3 feet around hole, Looked great. Next year I decided to coat entire roof. Bad idea. 2 years later Flex Seal starting flaking off and roof leaked resulting in major damage. Also roof cannot be coated with anything until all the Flex Seal is removed. Decided to scrap My camper valued at 6000.00
I've used this product probably 75 times and 74 of the 75 times I was completely satisfied with the product all right one time I found out just how flammable the product was my own fault but it ran me completely out of the product and that caused a bit of grief but otherwise it works as advertised
I fixed ceramic pot planters I fixed cement bird bath I fixed glass chimes that was broken so for everything I use it on it works I keep a can on hand at all times stuff works great
I have purchased almost all the stupid products advertised by this company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Nothing works! Not even for 5 minutes. They have no guarantees but worse it solves no problems. Leaks still leak and the advertising is outrageous lies. Cant say enough negative remarks about this totally useless product line.No need to send pictures just water leaking all over. They should be reviewed by consumer affairs committee and shut down!
Applied 3 light coat.let dry 24 hours between...white colour was a good match...saved me lots of $
I used Flexseal on the entire wooden roof of my home-made camper. I brushed it on out of a can which meant that it went on a little thicker than with a spray, and after installing my solar panels on the roof, I repainted Flexseal around all the screw tops and around the bottoms of the brackets. Next, I ran the cord from the panels through the roof to the solar generator inside, and then on the outside I gobbed some Flexseal around the cord and it's hole in the roof until I was satisfied it was sealed. That was a couple of years ago. I've never had a leak in the roof, where the screws are attached to the roof, or where the cord goes through the roof, and I live in an area that gets a lot of regular rain. Just checked the roof for the first time to see how it looked now after all this time and it looks just like the day I painted it. All I can say is those of you who are having difficulty might not be using the product as directed, or are not using sufficient amounts. Sometimes we scimp to save time and money. This camper is not the first time I've used this product. I've been using it on my tiny house builds since 2012 and have never had a problem. It's an amazing product.
It can't even stop the smallest little dribble leak on a fully clean PVC elbow on my hotub, save your time and money, don't even think about using Flex Seal.
Used flex seal spray on corner joints of aluminum eavetrough, cleaned & degreased with acetone first, spray the outside, still leaked, sprayed the inside, it did last about 3 rainstorms, so yes it will work but not for long enough to justify the cost ($16.00 cdn) per can, or the time to remove it so it can be repaired properly.
Looks real good, sounds good also, but found it almost useless. Would not even think about riding in the flex seal boat with out a good life jacket on. Never tryed the liquid or the tape. Plumbers love the stuff because now they can charge $75.00 dollars an hour to remove it & repair it correctly. It,s kind of like Alien tape works good in space but not on Earth ( gravity)
Answer: I would highly recommend NOT using anywhere around moisture. I experienced mildew growing on product.
Answer: No. Recommend you use eternabond sealant and then eternabond tape and skip this garbage.
