I ordered my second Bril after the first one stopped holding a charge after almost two years of daily use. When I received my second one it held a charge for one use and then it stopped working. I have tried several times to contact Brill for a replacement or refund and have received no reply. I am very disappointed with their customer service.
It's a cheaply made product, looks like a $0.50 crap you can buy on Alibaba and Aliexpress, and it doesn't last long either. First one died within 6 months, second one lasted a bit longer than that. Definitely not worth $35+ for this crap... I'd give them $2 for these things if I ever had to buy these again, or grab some cheaper options from Aliexpress instead.

Bril uv sanitizer seemed to work well...for a few months and now it will not charge. Iconfirm that I followed their instructions so that is not the issue.Unable to get a response from customer service so I will probably have to just move on. At this point I do NOT recommend you buy this product

I bought 6 of these for christmas gifts. Mine quit working in about a year. The charger looks like it works because I can see the green and red light, but when I put the brush in it, there is no longer a light indicating anything is happening or that it's ready. Super disappointed. They were expensive.

Solid red - left charging nothing works. No longer light to sanitize on all 5 I bought for family.

Sorry about the trouble with charging. These devices have rechargeable batteries that do have a limited lifespan. The lifespan of the rechargeable battery will depend on how often the device is used and recharged. Please reach out to us directly to troubleshoot at service@sling.shop.
I bought five for Christmas. By the time everyone got their gift, the 30 days from purchased had passed. Unfortunately, one of the five doesn't work. That's the lost fifth star. The four stars are for the perfect four that do work. We four are all very happy with ours!
I have an order that was placed on 12/2 and it is now 12/19. It has not been received.
Update: Bril customer service called me back and assisted me with this concern within five minutes of me leaving a message.
This product is nothing short of genius. I've always worried about the cleanliness of my toothbrush, and would replace it often due to bacteria concerns. I don't even think about it anymore with bril. 100% trust in this sterilizer!

Bril is easy to understand and extremely useful. My family knows about airborne germs and bacteria all too well. Bril gives us the utility and comfort of knowing our toothbrushes are totally sanitized.
I was skeptical at first, but it is nice having my brush covered and protected all the time. I have gifted this product to family and friends, and they love it as much as I do.
It's so comforting to know that after I brushed my teeth, I can render my tooth brush germ free, and know my toothbrush is not a breeding ground for virus and bacteria! I purchased enough for my entire family for Christmas
This is the second set of toothbrush sanitizers we have purchased. The concept and convenience is great, just wish they lasted longer before they stop working. We are a family of 4 and have one in our bathroom for each of us and one in our travel bag. The only issue is that they don't last very long before they need to be replaced. I was really hoping this was going to be a long term solution, but they lasted only about 6 months before many of them stopped working. This is our second set and we love them when they work.

I ordered a Bril a year ago and loved the compact solution to the need to sterilize a toothbrush that rests in the bathroom all day. The only other I had tried was a case that took up too much space on the bathroom counter.
When it ran out of charge I somehow couldn't make the charger work, but when I wrote to Bril about that they promptly replaced it even though it was out of warranty.
Defective Bril. Attempted to return within 30 days. Told I had to pay for return cost myself as not within USA. Return postage worth more than value of actual unit.
Poor service and useless product.
This was a gift from my sister and I thank her everyday! I think it will make some great gifts this Christmas.

I've been very pleased with my purchase of my Bril! It sanitizes your toothbrush as promised. You can stick it to your mirror just like they suggest. I recommend this product to family and friends!
Using this is not as convenient as it sounds. The toothbrush has to be dry before it can be put in the holder. Had I known this before I purchased it, I would never have bought it.
I really like my sanitizer however the gap is too narrow for my battery operated toothbrush. I intend to remedy this by shaving my toothbrush off a little bit.
Answer: Hello, When charging the light will turn green to indicate a full charge. At a general level, there is ample data to show that UV-C wavelengths like those used in Bril, are effective for sterilization. Coli. Every single test showed at least 99.9% of the bacteria were neutralized. As you read about UV-C light, you may be concerned about the effects it can have on your skin and eyes. Part of what makes Bril a higher quality product, and contributes to the cost of production, is the fact that we specifically sourced medical grade glass, that doesn't allow the harmful UV-C waves through, for the viewing window. In short, if you can see the blue light on in your Bril, you can be sure that you are safe and the germs on your brush are not.

Answer: Martha, Addressing your question directly, no, the blue light not lighting does not mean the device is not working. Bril uses ultraviolet (UV) light to sanitize the toothbrush and the ultraviolet wavelengths are invisible to the human eye. Because of that, a regular blue LED light was added as a mere indicator. That means it's possible the UV light is still functioning fine even if the blue light has somehow stopped working. They are not one in the same. That being said, you should definitely contact customer service about your device and they'll take care of you.
