6 months after purchasing a sapphire from gemfrance.com that was sold as unheated, a friend that is a hobby gemmologist had a look at it and said he thought it was heated. Double checked with a gemological lab and it indeed it was heated. Laurent from gemfrance.com refused to except a return because the sale was done more then 6 months ago. Massively overpaid for the stone and wasted 250 Euro for the gem report! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER!
Bought a gem described as a cobalt spinel. Brought it to a professional gemmologist who told me the it is not a cobalt spinel, it does not contain cobalt.
After confronting gemfrance.com with this he tells me (after 2 weeks) that him describing the gem as a "cobalt spinel" does not imply that it contains cobalt. That is why he used asterixes. Very misleading to say the least. Pure fraud if you ask me. Gemmology is quite particular with attributes to names so selling a cobalt spinel without it actually containing cobalt is being totally dishonest.
Mediocre quality but high prices. You can find better for less. Not happy with my purchase. Won't buy again.
